Sunsets are amazing!
FYI, BAR HARBOR IS APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR DRIVE FROM THE COTTAGE. It is a great day trip and we suggest you drive to Winter Harbor (30 minutes away) and take the Ferry to Bar Harbor and avoid the parking dilemma (downeastwindjammer.com). Awesome 45 minute boat road and bikes are welcome.

We provide dish liquid/dishwasher pods, trash bags, liquid hand soap at sinks, coffee filters and all linens.
Coffee maker is a Keurig combo ( 12 c. drip or k-cups, not provided).

~~~Please add toilet tissue and paper towels to your shopping list as they are not provided.

A Quiet shoreside cottage nestled amongst the trees on the shore of Dyers Bay. The only traffic you will see is an occasional lobster boat passing by to haul their traps.
The deck is the perfect place to watch our beautiful Downest sunsets as well!
Also a great spot to eat a fresh Maine Lobster on the picnic table!

The cottage is quaint yet newly updated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our two bedroom cottage has a queen bed, two twin beds (king upon request prior to arrival) and the living room has a double size pullout couch (couch is best for children). Please advise us in advance if you require bedding for the couch and or would like the king bed vs the twins.

Located just a few miles from hiking trails on Pigeon Hill and Petit Manan Point. You won't be disappointed. Please see our reviews for messages from our previous guests.
We strive to provide a comfortable and spotlessly clean "cottage" for your visit to Maine and the most beautiful sunsets over the bay.

The cottage is most comfortable with 4 guests(quote listed) but can accommodate up to 5 if double couch is used (extra person fee $25)....couch is best fit for children.

A beautiful, private retreat with amazing views. It was the perfect home base for exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, and the surrounding Maine coast. We loved coming back each day to such a peaceful setting. Highly recommend!

The view itself was priceless. The cottage was very clean. It did have a little step down going into the bedroom that I wasn’t aware of and almost fell. The shower is really tiny. The directions to the cottage had said something about seeing a sign to stay right, but turn left. There wasn’t any stay right sign that we saw. The cottage also said it was secluded but there is 2 neighbors. The trees block them but you can hear the kids playing, etc. On the other side we saw a man outside our window taking pictures of the sunset. The communication with the housekeeper was awesome. We definitely got plenty of relaxation in and did someFishing. We didn’t catch anything but enjoyed ourselfs.

Great stay

We had a great stay in Steuben! The view from the deck is amazing, especially at sunset! We found some great hikes and fun places to eat in the area. The cabin is cozy and had what we needed and communication was excellent.

Amazing Place to stay. Very private. We felt like we had our own personal bay. Fishing from the dock was great, I caught 7 fish, bring gear for mackerel, shad, herring, and stripped bass. Also the star gazing was unreal. We have never seen so many stars, if you are a shutter bug, bring a tripod for some amazing nighttime star pictures. This place is about an hour and 15 minutes from Acadia so a little bit of a ride if your planning to go to the park a lot. We didn't mind the ride it was beautiful. Robertson lobster tour is about 15 minutes away and worth the trip. The cabin was very clean and stocked with all you would need in the kitchen. The TV's have internet so you can stream your favorite shows. They had a nice grill to use too. The deck overlooking the bay was very relaxing. That area of the bay is listed as a conditional harvest area for mussels and we checked and conditions were good so we got to harvest some mussels and enjoy them fresh. Bring clothes and shoes for wading if you want mussels. Use google maps to get there, apple and ford nav did not work as well. Altogether it was as close to perfect as we could have hoped for. We would return for sure!

Beautiful serene place with an amazing view of Dyer Bay. Loved watching lobster boats work as well as seeing a bald eagle. Great communication throughout our stay. Had all the amenities we needed.
