A wonderful time on Mount Desert Island
This was our first time on Mount Desert Island. A true discovery! Staying at Nicole’s and Andrew’s farmhouse was wonderful. Tremont is located on the more remote side of the island. So be ready to drive everyday when you want to explore all the hikes. But there are also beautiful hikes close by and our most favorite swimming spot was around the corner. The house is spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. The neighbors are friendly and during the nights you can hear the loons. Communication with Nicole was wonderful. She has a lot of recommendations and gets back to you immediately.

Lovely location, super clean and the most accomodating hosts
Bright and airy property with plenty of space for 4 of us to spread out and relax. We felt very confident that everything had been meticulously cleaned. It had everything we needed, except not enough time to explore every book in the interesting bookshelf! We love the quietside as it's close to SW harbor, Pretty Marsh is 5 mins up the road for beautiful sunsets and eagle sightings. It's close enough to the other side and the drive is always a pleasure anyway. We found some of the hikes were just as entertaining over here (Flying Mountain was an easy going favorite) and Beech was good too. Nicole and Andrew couldn't have been more willing to help. We arrived with almost no charge in our electric vehicle and between all of us figured out a way to plug into their tumble dryer outlet to get a higher voltage charge. I am very grateful for them allowing us to park on the grass every night to get a charge!

New England farmhouse, quiet and close to everything!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at this charming home! The property was easy to find and in a lovely setting that made you feel like you were really on vacation and not in the hustle and bustle of a tourist destination. It hands down has the most comfy beds of any VRBO listing we've used. There are plenty of towels, linens, and extra blankets. The kitchen was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need and we made good use of the laundry room with all our hiking clothes. With four kids ranging from 6 to 10 years old, it was a perfect house for us to spread out in and have space. And while we packed for the day each morning, we could turn the little crazies in the back yard to run off energy until it was time to go. If you have kids, you know what I mean! :) It is on the "quiet side" of the island so it feels very private. Yet it is close to all the main areas of interest including Acadia, and we didn't have to drive anymore than 20 minutes to go anywhere we wanted to go. As far as getting your money's worth for a relaxing, easy stay, this place would be hard to beat. I'm really hoping we can come back to this gem and enjoy more of the beauty of the area. One visit was not enough!

Fantastic owners, perfect location
The owners of this property were awesome! Whenever I had a question about things to do in the area or where to find something in the house they always answered quickly. The house was perfect for our family and we really really liked that it was on the "quiet" side of the island! We would definitely stay here again!

After living out west in the Rocky Mountains for over 10 years we decided to get back to our roots on the East Coast. It's not hard to understand why we chose Mount Desert Island for our home, we have the best of both worlds, mountains and ocean, not to mention an active tight knit community full of interesting events and activities. The perfect place for a sailor and an artist to settle down.

Listen to the loons on Seal Cove Pond while you fall asleep, watch the sunrise through the mist over Bernard mountain from your pillow. This stunning property offers unobstructed views with the comforts of a spacious and charming Farmhouse.
