I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and found the house w/plenty of room. Walking to the Lighthouse is much easier than finding a parking place. Sorry the weather wasn't the best but glad you were able to enjoy the firepit.
Very nice spacious, clean, comfortable, enjoyable house. Our adult children were all happy with the place. Kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable, nice common areas.

So glad the house met your needs and that you and your family enjoyed it. Come again!
The property was clean and we loved all the deer in the yard each day! We enjoyed our stay. Tina was very receptive when we sent a text asking a question. It was spacious which was good since it was two families traveling with two children under two.

So glad you enjoyed the house and that it met your needs. It is great for generational travelers as well as couples that want their own spaces. The deer enjoy the yard and in the late spring/early summer their babies are a delight to watch play. Hope you will come again!
Convenient location for us, we wanted a more quiet stay with easy access to the national park. Very nice, well maintained home, comfortable beds. Well equipped. Easy communication with host.

Very glad that my home met your needs, was convenient and comfortable. Thanks again for choosing my home for your family's stay. Come again!
Our family of 6 were very comfortable in this home. It had all the amenities we needed and the host was super helpful with local tips, etc. It is a short, easy drive to local attractions. Also a short walk to the nearby lighthouse. Peaceful property to relax inside or outside. Would definitely recommend!!
The property was beautiful and right outside of the entrance to the bass harbor lighthouse. Cute town about 10 minute drive and lots to do with Acadia national park so close!

This was better than the listing portrayed! Well equipped for children, large gathering spaces, quiet, great communication with host, extremely clean. There really was nothing lacking. Would go back here in a heartbeat!

I'm work hard to keep a clean house, glad you found it as that. The house gives a great opportunity for 2 couples to have private living space. I truly want people to feel at home and do my best to answer concerns promptly. Come again!
We were blessed to have found a perfect place to stay for our vacation. House was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. We were just a short drive to Bar Harbor and many other places we wanted to visit. Hoping this home will be available the next time we visit Maine. Thank you for letting us rent from you!

We are so glad you found the home clean and had everything you needed. There is a lot to do along the drive to Bar Harbor. Glad the location worked for you and near the places you wanted to go. You were wonderful guests and took great care of our home. We would love to have you stay again w/us. You are always welcomed back.
This house is in a great location in a very quiet area but not to far for trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It also has the Bass Harbor Headlight within walking distance from the house. It is very spacious with 4 bedrooms and great basement.

Very nice home in Bass Harbor with lots of room
To spread out. We enjoyed this spot so much last year that we stayed here again this year. Oh, and steaks and split lobsters over the wood fire out back! Glorious!

Thank you for coming back and enjoying the space of the house both inside and out.
We very much enjoyed our stay here -- the house is spacious, clean, quiet, and exactly as described. We loved roasting marshmallows over the firepit and sitting on the back deck, either with the birds for coffee in the morning or watching the sun set over the trees in the evening. We love the quieter side of the island and hope to be back!

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. There is something to be said about peace and quiet. The house is definitely on the quieter side of the island and yet not that much of a travel. How can you not love the opportunity to have a marshmallow while seeing the sun set. Come again.
The house was away from the crowds but close enough to be convenient. It was perfect for our multifamily group and really felt like we were in Maine. The house is in a quiet area with lots of woods and away from any crowds, but easy to get to the activities and places we wanted to visit. It was the perfect balance of the what we wanted for our Maine trip. It was family friendly, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again on our next trip.

I love the island but thankful that my place is on the quieter side. You are right that it's still convenient and there is plenty to do in the neighborhood (tours and trails). Glad the house met your multifamily group and your trip to Maine was what you hoped it would be. Look forward to you coming back!
Came up with our family of four plus my mother, great house with lots of room for everyone to have their own space. The porch is beautiful and we really enjoyed just sitting out enjoying the sounds on the quieter side of the island. There was even a family of deer who came through several times. Short walk to the Bass Head Light and right on the Island Explorer route.

I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. Watching the deer is special, walking to the Lighthouse is easier than finding a parking place, and hope you'll come back and see our new back deck (2025). Yes, the Island Explorer let's you enjoy the scenery, not parking hassle and pick up is just around the corner at the Bass Hbr. Campground. Come again and enjoy the quiet side!
The house is in a great location for visiting all MDI and Acadia. It has large rooms and very nice yard. Tina and husband are great host, ready to help anytime for any unforeseen problem. The house is very clean. Sailing courses at MDI Sailing in Southwest Harbor were a great experience. Would visit again!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. You are correct, both MDI and our house have a lot to offer. We welcome you back when you find yourself in the area again.
The house we rented was a welcome sight for us as weary travelers, as it is nestled in a forest with chirping birds and pine trees. We were close to the Seawall picnic area where we met our relatives and wasn’t far from SW Harbor where we went to the Gilley Museum and dined at some of the local restaurants. The house is nicely laid out for both privacy and socializing. It was a great find.

We're glad the beauty surrounding the house, both in the yard and in Acadia Nat'l park, helped your weary soul. The house does give opportunities for you to have privacy and to be comfortable together. We hope you'll come back again. Thank you for choosing us.
Tina was the ideal host, helpful and communicative. We had a great time staying here. There was plenty of space for our grown family of five. It is a perfect spot for reading and relaxing, playing cornhole or basketball, watching the birds and wildlife in the yard, and as a base for for exploring Mount Desert Island. The house was very clean and comfortable and the free park pass was a nice touch. The Hansens store is close by for provisions, and Gotts is just a minute further (they also have pretty good pizza). We were only there for a few days but already have many good memories from this trip!

I'm so glad you and your family had a great stay and the house met your needs. Glad you took advantage of the outdoor fun that I've stocked there. I heard from my neighbor that the cornhole sound exciting! Come again and add to the memories you've begun.
We all had a wonderful stay during our time in this home. Tina was very responsive, kind, and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were impressed with how clean and comfortable the house is. We immediately felt right at home. There is plenty of room to spread out and the house is stocked with anything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and deck. The house is in a great location with easy access to several nearby Acadia trails. Staying here was a great experience overall!

About the host
Hosted by Tina
I love the quiet of my home and the nature around me. Close to the excitement in Bar Harbor but far enough away to be out of the crazy busyness. I grew up and have lived here my whole life. I live here on the island's off season. I pay attention to detail and hope you find that true of the cleanliness of the home. I hope that you will enjoy this home and will want to come back to explore more of this beautiful island, and feel at home.
Why they chose this property
This property is in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the Light house to catch a sunset or a quick drive to Seawall to watch the ocean waves and a sunrise. There are two, fairly easy, trails close by. This house is very functionable for 2 to 6 people and plenty of space to spread out and have your own place. The outdoor yard is big and has chairs to just sit and read a book or relax and just breathe. It is comfortable, clean and has a great back deck.
What makes this property unique
You can often sit on the back deck and hear the lobster boats returning from their days catch. Catching a fresh salty breeze from time to time on a lounge chair is my favorite. Now you can see the ocean through the trees and catch the sunset as it sets in the sky. Your can walk and enjoy the lighthouse w/out the hassle of finding a parking place. Walk down around the town to see the ferry coming and going from Swans Island and enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. It has a split level to have separation between 2 small families. There are often deer that lay in the back, sometimes w/their fawns.
