The BlueMoon House brings you all the comforts of home with spectacular views of the Mojave Desert & The San Gabriel Mountains! After a long day of exploring all that the Joshua Tree area has to offer, have a peaceful night's rest, for up to 6, on incredible comfy beds(a King, and 2 Queens) Enjoy the unobstructed views of the desert & star filled nights in our private backyard. Swing on our hammocks & tree swings, as you watch incredible sunsets. During the warmer months, take a dip in the 2 Cowboy Tubs, for a refreshing cool down. Have peace of mind knowing the backyard has a completely secured fenced in yard, for both our human guests & their dogs :) Our house sits on acres of unobstructed desert views, & is centrally located from Joshua Tree Park, Pioneer Town & Integratron. Secluded enough for privacy & open space, yet convenient stores are only a 5 min drive away! There's Corn Hole & Bocce Ball games to play too. The Star Gazing & Sunsets surround you with panoramic views from all side of the house!

Jennifer was a kind and responsive host and the house was well stocked and clean. The location was also great for restaurants and accessing the national park. However, the house does not have central heating and gets extremely cold in the winter — we visited in Feb. There are individual heaters in each room and the bedroom ones work fine, but the electric fireplace really doesn’t heat the living room/main area well and we were freezing every morning. Not applicable if you visit during warmer months!

This was a perfect home for exploring Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. The home was clean, comfortable and lovely. We especially liked the turntable. As a matter of fact the player needed a new needle and the host had a replacement immediately. Thanks for making our vacation enjoyable

Our stay could not have been better. The house is about a minute from the main drag on Hwy 62 but you would never know when you're at the residence.The kitchen, the bathrooms and the bedrooms were all very well appointed. Could not have asked for more.We look forward to having the luck to come back again next year.

Cozy desert retreat

This home was perfect for our family to spread out a little and relax on a road trip full of hotel stays. We wished we could have stayed longer! Quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and Walmart. It was chilly and our favorite was curling up on the sofa with a blanket and having the fireplace on.

Tranquility

Cute house in the desert surrounded by Joshua trees and other plant life. A lot of different type of birds singing, bunny rabbits, & lizards. Great stargazing skies! We saw a starlink our last night. We were celebrating our birthdays, Valentines day, & my recent retirement! We were having such a good time, we were able to stay an extra day thanks to our understanding host who made it possible.

Yucca Valley Experience

First time in the area and wanted a desert environment with a location that was convenient to areas of interest. We got both. Description and pictures were spot on. Interior of the home was neat, clean and felt comfortable with a decor that hit home. The outside was very nice (wish had more time to enjoy) and gave the impression of isolation but the location was convenient to shopping and restaurants. It was exactly what we wanted and needed.

Great place and Great vibes

We stayed here for 2 nights as our home base for hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. The home is amazing and I would highly recommend staying here. Inside, it is wonderfully decorated with colorful and whimsical furnishings, and it has all the essentials you need in the kitchen. There is a wonderful record player which allowed us 50-somethings some wonderful nostalgia of playing records non-stop during our stay!!Outside, the yard is fully equipped with a grille, outdoor dining table, fire pit, relaxing chairs, and even some games like corn hole. It is clear this owner has taken great care with this home!!! If you want a home base for exploring Joshua Tree, I think this is the one.

Our family of 3 stayed in January to visit Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. The house was just as described - perfect for us! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the property very private and quiet. Check out the stars at night in the backyard! My husband and I and our 2 little dogs stayed here for a 3 day weekend. It’s a great house, beautiful decorated. The record player was a nice addition and sounded great. We enjoyed the fenced backyard with our dogs and the fire pit. Everything was great. Clean, comfortable and relaxing.

Christmas in the desert

My son and I had a wonderful stay at the BlueMoon house. We especially loved that they accept pets. Willow loved the backyard. We would definitely stay here again. Very close to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs.

This is a lovely home with a charming back yard. We stayed for a week and loved feeling like we had plenty of room to enjoy our stay. Much better than a hotel! Our hosts responded quickly to a question we had; we felt very taken care of. This was our second stay, and we would definitely book again in the future.

My husband Chris & I, while born & raised on the East Coast, met & married in CA. We share a love for the outdoors, from the ocean to the desert. Finding a private, peaceful home in Joshua Tree that we could share with others, was a dream come true. We hope our home brings as much peace & comfort to others, as it has for us.

Why they chose this property

The Joshua Tree area has provided a sanctuary for my husband & I for years. The unique desert beauty is in stark contrast to the beach community we live in, which is exactly what we need sometimes. Hiking in JT is surreal & the sunsets beat any we've ever seen in any of our travels. When we finally had the opportunity to buy a house, this quiet hilltop home called to us. Because of Chris' construction knowledge & my art & furniture refinishing passions, this was perfect fit. It's been about a years worth of a labor of love & lots of challenges.

What makes this property unique

Our property struck us with its private 1.5 acre hilltop location. It's sits at the end of a very quiet neighborhood, & it's secluded enough for a completely private, fenced in back yard. This was perfect for dogs & kids, which was important to us. It's also conveniently located right up the hill from downtown Joshua Tree & Yucca Valley, so shopping is 5 min away. Of course the short 15 min drive to JT's main entrance & 5 min drive to Black Rock, was also a huge plus!
