Cabin had everything we needed. Location was very scenic and relaxing.
Cozy home in a beautiful setting
My family (7 of us) really enjoyed our stay in this homey and comfortable house. Pool/ping-pong table on the first floor kept kids entertained. The country side setting is very private and remote, nature sounds only. Thank you!
Fab place to stay
Fab place to stay. It is just as advertised on this site. Would recommend. As we are from the UK some info about local places to visit and maps of local walks would be really helpful.
We fell in love
We spent two weeks at this serene property. We enjoyed morning and evening walks, the sounds of nature and wild-life sightings. We loved waking up to humming birds feeding on the porch, the morning dew and the roosters crowing afar. Our children had a lot of fun playing pool and ping-pong, racing around the property and simply being loud! We took many short-distance trips to historic places, spent a day in Washington DC, went horse-back riding, fishing and rafting on Shenandoah River. We visited the Lurey Caverns and the Carriage and Car Museum next door and were in awe. We hiked a few trials, including the Appalachian Trail! We enjoyed our time in Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. What an enriching vacation for all of us. We fell in love with the place and would love to come back.
The house was perfect for our family of five. The kids had room to spread out, and the property was beautiful. The only thing might be to emphasize that there's no washer/dryer on hand - we had to travel into Strasburg one day to find a laudromat, but that is my own fault for not checking the listing more closely and wouldn't have necessarily prevented us from renting the propery anyway. It was a very secluded location, yet close enough for us to make day trips to Shenandoah National Park and Harper's Ferry. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful property. Visited GWNF while there. Wish we could live out there all the time.
