My wife, dog, and I loved our stay here. House was clean and very secluded. Easy drive to Shenandoah for hiking. Spent some time in down town strasburg too, box office id amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a secluded getaway.
We really enjoyed being in the trees on the screened deck listening to all the lovely birdsong! Loved the comfortable King size bed. Trips to Shenandoah National Park and quaint Downtown Strasburg were delightful.
We spent spring break with our kids here. Ages 12 and 18. The cabin was perfect for the 4 of us and our dog. It was quite and secluded. Beautiful views of sunsetting over the mountains. Kitchen was well stocked and also had soaps and paper towels available! We definitely recommend this property for a quite getaway.
Traveled from Hampton roads to celebrate both of us being retired. We had no problems finding the cabin or gaining access. The cabin hose was always responsive to our questions and a pleasure to work with. The cabin is in a private location. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent two of our three days at the river fishing. Really enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch in the evenings. We explored Strasburg and found the residents to be very friendly and welcoming. We visited some local shops and antique stores. The Box Office Brewery was outstanding. Perfect stay and recommend this property for any one who needs to unwind and recharge. We will definitely be back. Thank you again. Regards The Blevins'
Rented this for a few days to get away from the city and let our dogs run around outside. Was cute and comfy. We made S’mores in the living room fireplace. Bed was nice. There are some utensils, seasonings, and cookware, but I suggest to bring your own if you have something in mind to make. There were lots of large windows in the bedroom walls and ceiling, which may be a plus to some, but to us who like the room completely dark in the morning it was a big downside and made us very tired for our stay. Additionally while there was plenty of space for the pups to move around, there were no flat areas or cleared areas to walk around in nature. All steep slope and thorny branches. This was what we were looking for, but not a perfect fit for us.
Very nice cozy and secluded spot. Check-in was easy and the host was very prompt responding to communication online. Calling this a "river cabin" is a bit of a stretch, but we weren't interested in the river this time of year anyway.
Lovely home! We had such a great visit and the house itself was everything we were looking for. The home was comfy, and all the touches to make us feel welcomed and ready to relax. Great for families with all the games! Even with perfect weather, we could not get our SUVs up the driveway. Recommendation to update listing that this is getaway cabin is 4-wheel drive only. We had a wagon with us so it wasn’t a huge deal. George was responsive and let us know where to park, etc. The lights down at the fire pit also were not working - but it wasn’t a deal breaker. But plan accordingly. (Did not reach out to hosts regarding this as it wasn’t a big deal).
The cabin was very cozy, with warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment we walked in. It was neat and clean. George, our host, was exceptionally responsive, promptly addressing all our questions. We truly felt at home from the very beginning of our stay, making it a perfect getaway. We will be back.
It was clean. It had a beautiful drive to it and it was tucked up in the woods. It would be nice if there was curtains, but that is OK. You are surrounded by trees. Enjoyed our visit. Has a very cute town nearby. Wasn’t in the house very much was enjoying all the scenery.
This cabin was a great place for my little family to stay. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is also a beautiful place to stay. The only problem we had was the location. We didn’t realize it was on a steep gravel road that recommended 4WD vehicles and our truck wasn’t a 4WD so we struggled getting up to the cabin. But other than that, it was perfect!
We had a great time at this cabin! It was comfortable, clean, and beautiful! The pictures don’t do this place justice. Our only regret is not booking for a longer stay. We will definitely be returning!
