This classic A-Frame Chalet was built in the early days of the Alyeska Ski Resort and sits in the established neighborhoods outside of Girdwood's community center. It features the original wood interior accents, with limited modern updates such as the gas heating stove and private hot tub. It preserves the tradition of the early days of the ski town with its natural landscaping, huge windows, and an open concept floor plan that creates a spacious but cozy atmosphere. There are breathtaking views of the mountains and it is only a short distance to the ski hill or hiking. Get started on your next Alaskan adventure - save your dates today!

Beautiful house, close to slopes!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful classic A-frame, hidden away in the woods in a quiet and lovely part of town, right under Mount Alyeska with the view of the slopes and other mountains. (Street was also dark enough to see the aurora) I walked to the slopes in 15mins but it’s only a 4min drive to the parking lot. Bird singing in the morning. Kitchen was fully setup, beds amazing, hot tub steaming, and sauna was the best bonus! Can’t wait to stay here again ☺️

Don’t stay here in the winter!
My wife and I decided to stay for a short weekend to celebrate her birthday. When we got to the cabin, it was 52°! The Toyo stove was going, but it was not keeping the cabin warm. Yes, it was below zero temperatures outside but this is ridiculous! I reached out to the host to ask if this was the only heat source, as well as how to turn on a ceiling fan to push some of the hot air down, and they would not respond. On our day of departure, the cabin finally warmed up. I also was able to figure out the ceiling fan with no help from the host. This cabin is old and in desperate need of a remodel. Dishonor and hot tub was nice, but we would not stay here again, and I don’t recommend anyone else stay as well, unless the host updates the cabin, and is more responsive to the guest needs.
