'House of Blues' is located in a beautiful gated neighborhood called The Preserve. The home has been professionally decorated in shades of blues, creams and tans. The home has a Tommy Bahama decor style. The home offers many upgrades such as custom cabinetry, granite countertops,top of the line appliances, comfortable beds,his and her sinks in the bathroom, rocking chairs and ceiling fans on the both porches and many other special touches throughout. The home is located in a gated neighborhood that is directly across the street from a private beach boardwalk that leads directly to the beautiful beach. 'House of Blues' is the fourth home in the neighborhood, so it is very close to the private deeded beach boardwalk. The home is 300 yards to the beach(a 5-7 minute walk), and 4 houses down from the pool. We are one of the closest
homes to the beach in the Preserve Neighborhood.


The home has two levels. On the main level, you will find a beautiful kitchen which is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen table will seat 6 and 4 more can be seated at the bar. In the living room there is a 65 inch Smart TV and DVD. The master has a king size bed and large bathroom . The second bedroom on the main level has two sets of bunk beds-perfect for the little guests! This home has four bathrooms-all with granite countertops! The second level has another master with a king size bed with private bathroom. The second bedroom upstairs has two queen beds! Behind our home is state forest, so it is very quiet and private.
Very quiet and PRIVATE neighborhood, only footsteps to the beautiful sand and gulf waters! The neighborhood has two pools, tennis courts and fitness center.

The Preserve is located on 30A and is conveniently located to many shopping areas: Sandestin Outlets (10 minutes), Redfish village, World Famous Red Bar (2 miles), Grayton Park (1 mile) Watercolor and Seaside (3 miles). There is a bike and walking path that runs along 30A (the road the neighborhood is on) that leads directly into Watercolor and then Seaside. Lots of cute little village shops only 1 mile away!!! 1 mile to starbuck's and Another Broken Egg Cafe'. You are going to love 'House of Blues' and the PERFECT location!
Our home is well maintained and perfect your family gathering!

RV's, boats, trailers and unregistered renter golf carts are not allowed at the Preserve. Parking is available for up to 3 cars. There is additional parking space just 50 yards away at the pool parking area.

Great vacation

This was our first vacation in Grayton Beach. The beach is the best beach we have seen after many years of vacationing in Florida. The grandchildren loved playing in the clear water, soft white sand and also the dune lake adjacent to the beach. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach area but a lot of it is through a shaded walkway through a natural area...very nice. A lot of the beaches in this area are private so you have to walk a little way to get to the beach area you can use...well worth it. The house was very nice and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the wraparound porch and the kitchen is well equipped with whatever you might need. The location of the house in the neighborhood is ideal...close to one of the pools and to the beach access trail.

We had a wonderful time catching up with family. Had two homes in the neighborhood. This home is a great location to the beach as well as the pool. Kitchen was well equipped and the layout was perfect to be able to interact with all of us. We loved the upstairs porch!!

This house was perfect for a multi-generational family of nine.

Everyone loved the floor plan of the house and how close it was to the walkway to the beach. This house had some great extra touches that made our stay more enjoyable from the 2 drawer high-end dishwasher, 2 separate AC units for each floor, to the extra large hot water heater all combined for a pleasant experience. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of cooking. Also there was a beach wagon to help get all the toys and boogie boards to the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

Great week at House of Blues

We had a wonderful week with our adult children and grandkids. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, spacious house that had everything we needed. The neighborhood is lovely. Driving distance to our favorite place, Grayton Beach, was short. Beds are very comfortable. Port-a-crib and bunk beds were perfect for the kids. Enjoyed the front porch. We had a few missteps on the stairs. Not the owner’s fault, but just a word of caution to be careful.

Deep Clean Needed

Upon our arrival, the first thing we noticed was a broom and vacuum right in the doorway. Odd, but we didn’t think too much, it was probably just forgotten. My family starts unloading the car and we’re all running to bathrooms and everyone starts hollering there is toilet paper in the bathrooms. No paper towels. Which I understand some places don’t supply that, but I thought we’d at least have something to get us started. I send a message asking if there was a supply somewhere we could use for the night. We’re still settling in and I realize there are some random towels here and there that were clearly used. I just grabbed them through them in the laundry room. A few hours later the property manager shows up at the door and says there has been a miscommunication and she didn’t realize anyone was staying there that

Best Beach Vacation Ever

Just returned from one of the best beach vacations we've ever had & that includes Hawaii & Guam. This beach house is truly the best; location, location, location!!! We rented bikes and rode to the popular WaterColor/Seaside beaches for some shopping and dining. But the location of this house & the beaches of Grayton cannot be beat. It is a short pleasant stroll, that I looked forward to everyday, down the boardwalk to the beautiful, uncrowded, private beach. The owner, Susan, was fantastic to work with & got back to me immediately following an inquiry. The home is so beautifully decorated; reminds me of a Pottery Barn catalog. Lots of room for three families (11 total), with all the amenities one could ask for. We have already booked for next year.

Some shortcomings, but mostly good stay

We stayed at the House of Blues for 4 days. It’s a sweet and tidy place with character. Close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. We’ve stayed at The Preserve twice before and so have a couple of other places to compare to HOB. Our main complaint was with a/c. Drainage became clogged (was cleared the first night by maintenance) and unit partially froze on the outside. Our first night was spent without cool air downstairs. Kind of a bummer. Overall, the stay was enjoyable. The home itself could use some maintenance with aforementioned a/c, door handles (hubby had to tighten one upstairs), etc…just general wear and tear.

Lemonade

We came down with friends and family. Ten of us in total, we arrived on our bus. Late the evening of our first night, we were rudely informed by one of the neighbors that strict HOA rules prohibited buses,RVs, or boat trailers from being parked in the neighborhood. We had booked this property specifically because there was parking for our bus in the driveway at the house. Had we known the HOA rule ahead of time, we would have booked elsewhere. As it was, a very sweet neighbor swooped in and came to our rescue, giving us the name of a local RV Resort (Luxury RV Resort…who were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating) and offering to allow us use of their car. We were able to run the bus to the resort and get groceries later in the week by borrowing this sweet neighbors vehicle. We regrouped and changed our plans to spending the days on the beach and going on just a few side adventures to areas that were within walking distance. We definitely made lemonade with some sour lemons. I reached out to the property manager early on and let her know what was going on. She offered to help drive us (although with 10 of us that would have been difficult) she loaned us a bike which my husband road to the RV resort to pick up our bus on the last day of our trip. At the end of the week, I heard from the owner, who apologized for the inconvenience of our week and covered the cost of storing our bus, with a little xtra.Bus issue aside, the home is beautiful, fun was had by all.

Lovely house but long walk for grandparents

Pros: The house is wonderful with plenty of space. We loved the front porch with the rocking chairs and large picnic table. The second floor porch was also lovely to sit outside at night. The kitchen had sufficent supplies for all the basic meals we made. Beds were comfortable. And we really enjoyed there was plenty of space for everyone to sit in the living room and at the dining room table. Water pressure great even when everyone took showers at the same time and it was nice to have access to the tennis courts. Cons: If you have really little ones or older grandparents, the beach might be too long of a walk. The boardwalk is pretty and flat but I didn't realize how far we would have to walk on the beach to be able to setup our tent. You are not allowed on the beach right down from the boardwalk because that is owned by the condos directly next to the boardwalk. Nor is anyone allowed from the complex to the immediate left as that is the Bannerman subdivision beach. So you either have to go to the far left or to the right. We usually chose the far left because the outfall from the dune lake was not as much on the left as on the right. And when you are lugging a wagon loaded down with stuff, you just don't want to forge a big outfall. Grandparents 70-82 years old struggled walking everyday in the sand that far. An adult with only a chair took 10 minutes to walk from frontsteps to where we setup on the beach. The grandparents took 18 minutes (with no chair to carry).

Fall Break at House of Blues

Perfect vacation

The house was amazing. It was very clean when we arrived and the housekeeper, Marcia, met the 1st group of us when we arrived. The owner was very prompt to respond to my questions before and after booking. The kids loved the bunk room and we loved the space. The front porch was a good place for morning coffee. The boardwalk to the beach was nice and maintained and a small walk to beach, which was so nice and private. The highlight was seeing a momma bear and cub in the front yard and tree. Kids and adults alike was in awe lol. This is definitely a place I would recommend and would love to visit again.

Almost perfect!

Would have been perfect if the refrigerator had not broken upon our arrival. The owner was clearly not informed. Michael and Marsha did their best to help with ice and coolers to hold the "must have items". The house was beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked. We didn't let the refrigerator get us down. They had it fixed as soon as possible. We plan on returning in the fall.
