About this property
BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE ON BUCK LAKE - BACK ON THE MARKET FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 YRS
Beautiful, quaint cottage on Buck Lake for rent. Rustic charm with modern amenities. Steps from the water with partially shaded, grassy waterfront area perfect for sitting. New large dock (shown in pictures off shore but is attached to shore for summer) and smaller floating dock. West facing for beautiful sunsets. Screened-in porch, outdoor table eating area with stainless steel BBQ. Fire pit with seating. Kitchen island with bar stools, eating table and family room with recliner sofa/sectional, and smart TV (with streaming services built in). Wifi. Three bedrooms - one with Queen, 1 with double bed, and 1 with single over double bunk bed with single pullout trundle bed underneath. There is also a pullout sofa bed on the screened-in porch. Sleeps 6-8. Bathroom with shower/bath. Water is from the lake - fresh water for drinking is supplied. Towels and linens are yours to bring, but are available upon advance request and for a fee. There is a boat house on the property but it is off limits and is roped off as it is in need of repair/re-construction. Also, there are two stairs down to the grassy section adjacent to the water - one is a wood stair (about 6 steps and a landing) that is new and very stable, the other is the original brick and stone steps that has tripping hazards consistent with an older, irregular masonry stair - it is sound and used regularly but may require some care by those less stable. Cell phone coverage with Rogers is good, with Bell/Telus it is less so, but reception via the WIFI works quite well . There are two canoes, 2 paddle boards, and 2 kayaks available to borrow, free of charge. You should bring your own life jackets to ensure proper fit. Located at the south end of very warm Buck Lake (renowned in the area for the quality and variety of fishing), 25 mins from Kingston and 90 mins from Ottawa. Rental available weekly or monthly.
