Six of us (grandparents, parents, and two young grand sons) had a great week. Great experience living off grid for a week. Lots of activities for everyone.
Lovely new cottage with great views of the lake. The owners were very accommodating and helpful supplying things like the boat and barbecue. It was a short walk down to the water which didn't have a Sandy beach but was very swimmable.
Property is great. Great views from the dock! Great spot for kayaking and pedal boating! Plenty of loons, blue heron and ospreys around. Fishing is great too! Northerns, bass, pearch and sun fish to catch. This was a great place for a retreat! The outdoor shower is great as well. We had some rain and thunderstorms and still had a great time. Cabin is really nice and comfortable. Fishing was great after the rain anyways. It's 10 feet deep at end of dock so its great for swimming! The only thing you need to be aware of is the outhouse. Its an outhouse. A nice outhouse. Still an outhouse though...lol
Would definitely do this again!!!
If you're looking for an off grid property with plenty to offer this is the one. From meeting a very welcoming Randy and his son Harris at the dock and being delivered to the island dock for an incredible 1 week stay, this place was everything we could have asked for. Randy made us feel like family right from the beginning and was very accommodating with anything we needed. Suzanne was also very quick to answer any of our concerns or questions. The accommodation was clean, beds comfortable and provided all the necessities we needed including amazing views from the oversized deck. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the motor boat, kayaks and peddle boat and explored all parts of this beautiful lake. If you like to fish there are plenty of bass, perch and sunfish right off the dock! Definitely put this stay on your list!
This property is perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Accessible by boat only, it made for a really neat experience. Lots of outdoor things to do, including great swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing and games. Not far from beautiful Westport and Kingston, as well as some beautiful provincial parks. Suzanne and Randy are so accommodating and friendly to work with. We would highly recommend this for anyone with some camping experience looking for a great get-away!
Was beautiful, peaceful and quiet other than the falling acorns. Would stay again!

Wonderful time
Thank you to Randy and Suzanne (and Harris) for their hospitality. We were greeted right on time and ferried over to the property and were helped with our bags from the dock to the cottage.
The cottage is new and well stocked. We didn't need to bring those linens! The lake was clear and there was lots of use of the kayaks, paddle boat and fishing boat.
My father is not fully able bodied so found the stairs from the dock to the cottage a little challenging but Suzanne was very gracious in providing us an extra ferry in the pontoon boat back to the "mainland" as he wasn't able to use the fishing boat. The cottage had a ground floor bedroom too which is helpful. There is also a maritime toilet in the cottage for when it was a worry to venture outside.
I was a little apprehensive about the solar power and the outdoor facilities beforehand. We only needed to use the gasoline generator on the last day and it couldn't have been easier. The outhouse was actually a lot nicer than some of the regular bathrooms I have visited and the outdoor shower was a neat experience. No apprehension required.
If you're looking for a private, quiet getaway this is definitely one to put on your consideration list!
