We really enjoyed having Harsha and her group at our place.
They were pleasure to communicate with, asked questions when they were in doubt, and our cleaning company said they were the BEST & CLEANEST GUESTS we’ve ever had!
This was the most amazing place. The views and access to the water was beyond easy. I have been coming up here for 17 years fishing with friends. This place was above and beyond any place ls we stayed. The host was so easy to work with and went above expectation. Highly recommend staying here you won't be disappointed. We plan on booking again

We loved the views, the nice dock, and the lake. Communication with our host was very smooth and they made check-in and checkout very smooth. We'd definitely stay here again!
We were a group of adult friends and one baby, away for a winter weekend reunion. We had a wonderful stay! Cozy, great kitchen to cook in, comfortable beds. We had a couple nice walks along the frozen lake. The host was friendly and responsive.

Thank you for your kind words! We loved your friendliness, trust, and your communication skills.
We would love to host you again 😊
We spent four nights out here in April. Sadly the weather didn’t cooperate for us so most of the time we were inside. This location is excellent. We enjoyed the action at the bird feeders. The cabin had everything you need and then some. Beautiful and peaceful it was just what we were looking for. There is an excellent fire pit and lots of wood. Can’t wait to return.

We would love to have you back some day!
Four friends of 46 years met for an annual reunion at this wonderful retreat. The accommodations were terrific, the view was wonderful, the air was clean and clear, and hiking in nearby Frontenac Park was great. We really appreciated the open and friendly communications with the hosts.
Overall property is great. If you have trouble with climbing/walking up hills, this is not the property for you. Views are fantastic, great dock for boating or swimming. Plenty of room both inside and out. Great little getaway.
Beautiful, comfortable home had everything we needed. Great views of very pretty lake. Easy communication with owners. We enjoyed using the two kayaks. Loved the firepit. Dog loved the place. If you have mobility issues the hill down to the water might be challenging. There isn't a sandy beach but we loved sitting on the Muskoka chairs on the nice big dock.
Our stay was just lovely and the views were indeed amazing! We just loved that you could see nature from every window—trees, water, & wildlife—even if the weather was inclement. The lake and property was so quiet that you could hear the fluttering of chickadee wings as they swooped in for a bite at the feeders. The dogs loved watching “nature TV” (birds, squirrels, & chipmunks at the bird feeders outside). It was just the retreat that we needed and we definitely hope to return!
We stayed for a nice family weekend quietly celebrating a birthday. There was more than enough room for the 6 adults and 4 month old. The views were enjoyed by all. There were detailed directions about house requirements and information about the surrounding area provided. The rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely be interested in staying again in the warmer weather to enjoy the lake access.

Thank you, Erica, for being such a great guest, good communicator, and for leaving our place sparkling clean. We would love to have you back!
This is a lovely property. There's a bit of a hike down to the water, but the water is very warm, and the dock is very nice. When we were there (late July) it was very warm in the house, and the air conditioner is just a small unit. It takes the edge off, but it got a bit uncomfortable.
Beds are great (high quality mattresses), and the kitchen is well-stocked. The fire pit area is really great, and the view is stunning.
This is the second time that my family has stayed at this lovely cliffside cottage. The host is warm and welcoming. They respond immediately to messages. The house is clean and well appointed. The kitchen is large and bright. The bedrooms are cozy. The setting is stunning with views up and down the lake from the front windows. You can sit for hours and watch the light on the lake change or count the birds at the various bird feeders. We took full advantage of the hiking trail that winds its’ way through the area. We rent a cottage every Thanksgiving and it unanimous that this was our favourite. Thank you!!

Thank you so very much for your kind words, Pat.
We certainly LOVED hosting you and your family and would have you back anytime ❤️
We had a lovely stay, the property is beautiful. Really enjoyed the view of the lake. It was the perfect place to see the eclipse. Also really enjoyed kayaking in the lake and exploring little islands (2 kayaks were at the property), and the campfire also overlooking the lake. It was very comfortable for our party of 5. Everyone had their own private room (3 bedrooms in house). There was another room separate from the house that we didn't use, but would have been nice too. Kitchen was fully stocked and convenient for cooking, and nice lounging areas in the house. House is in a nice quiet area, ~15 min from nearest grocery and ~35 min from downtown Kingston.
Hosts were very communicative and friendly! Definitely recommend!
Although we had a mixed bag of weather, the cottage had beautiful views and there was nothing missing as far as amenities for our family. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was excellent, towels etc. provided. The kitchen had everything we needed. It felt more like staying at a family cottage than at a rental cottage with all that was provided and made available for us. We used the public boat launch and kept our boat at the dock. Water was more weedy than we are used to but we could use it to cool off and swim. Communications with Luiza were quick and detailed. All in all a great week. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Luiza Dowling
I am a teacher, and my husband recently retired. We bought this cliffhanging, lakefront property with a stunning view, that was over our price range. We made a decision to share it with others through VRBO, and never regretted it.
Why they chose this property
Our cottage is close to Kingston with its University scene, museums & galleries, gourmet dining, great shopping & grocery stores, 3 hospitals and good medical care, just in case. Frontenac Provincial Park is a 15 minute drive. Cataraqui trail 5 minutes away. Serenity, sunset lake views, birds, wildlife. Great swimming and even better fishing! Warm lake water with not too much sea weed. Amazing camp fires and marshmallow roasting. Our property feels secluded, but we are a close knit community, and we can reach out to our neighbours anytime when we want. There are holiday fireworks on the lake, and we can buy farm eggs, local meats, breads and pastries.
