Smoky Mountain Escape is a luxurious condo in the award winning Maggie Valley Country Club and offers resort style amenities and gorgeous year round mountain and golf course views. Specifically we are in Persimmon Point on the Upper Nine holes and at a higher elevation than other condos in the club below. With easy access year round four wheel drive is not required to access our condo. It can be enjoyed for skiing trips to nearby Cataloochee Ski Resort just 15 minutes away.
This spacious condo combines the comfort of a cabin and the convenience of a condo with easy access and an elevator. At an elevation of 3000’ This spacious open concept 3 bedroom and two full baths is 1800s.f. including the screened porch. No detail has been spared and our condo offers luxurious furnishings, hotel quality beds and decorator decor. With a fully equipped kitchen, a formal dining area, and cable flat screen TV's in every bedroom, living room with a gas fireplace and a screened patio room to enjoy year round with additional seating for alfresco dining. The newly renovated master bath offers a spa like walk in shower, double sinks with quartz countertops and a SEPARATE toilet room for privacy. The second bedroom connects to the guest bathroom making this perfect for 2 couples to share! The resort style amenities include golf, clubhouse with restaurant & Bar, pro shop, fitness center, pool & Hot Tub(open seasonally), driving range, putting greens, tennis courts and walking trails. *Contact the Pro Shop at MVCC to inquire about Golf fees, Access & Availability.
Stocked with all your needs(towels, linens) plus supplies to get your vacation started(toilet paper, napkins, detergents and dish soap, coffee filters, basic spices). Full size Washer and Dryer with laundry soap provided. Spectrum Cable, games, puzzles, cards and strong WIFI.
Parking is provided in a large well lighted parking lot where there is an elevator just steps from our unit. Perfect size for a golf foursome to share, a family or just a couple or two.
Maggie Valley Country Club itself offers close proximity to downtown Waynesville and popular Asheville culture and dining, and the pristine beauty of the Smoky Mountains and surrounding National Forests. Many guests will want to tour the incredible historic Biltmore Estate and grounds just a short 30 minute drive away. Nearby towns like Waynesville and Bryson City have quaint historic districts featuring shopping, dining, and artists. Cherokee, which is at the Eastern End of the Smoky Mountain National Park and just a 30 minute drive west of the condo offers many family activities on the reservation including a Harrahs Vegas style casino for adults with many restaurants including Brio Tuscan Grill and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Other Area attractions include the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad, Ski Cataloochee, NOA Center for river rafting and ziplining, Tube World for snow tubing, and much more.

This condo is large, cozy and clean. Lots of amenities …. Netflix, coffee pods, extra towels, windows that open, fireplace, nice furniture, etc. Very relaxing and comfortable. Also great having an elevator. Lora is very efficient and courteous.

We were so happy to have chosen this condo. The location, size, decor, quality of furnishings and the extreme cleanliness were more than perfect. Those things along with the owner’s quick and easy communication made it feel as if we were their houseguests and not renters. It’s a serene setting with a beautiful view. We enjoyed early morning and evening walks around the club’s streets. Perfect.

Wonderful place

This was the cleanest, best equipped place I have stayed in. It was comfortable for our group and safe for the toddler with us. It works well for people with limited mobility as it has an elevator to the 2nd floor condo. There is a step in shower in the primary bedroom. The location was convenient and the roads to the condo are relatively flat and straight. I would recommend this place for families or a group of golfers.

Fantastic Condo in a Beautiful Community

We rented this condo for post Christmas ski trip and were very happy that we did. The accommodations were perfect! From the get go, it was clear that the owners take a lot of pride in their home. They are super responsive and help. The condo is well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a gas fireplace. We were a family of six adults and it felt large enough for us all. When we didn't ski we enjoyed the on site fitness center and the surrounding area. Ski at Xmas time is always a risk, but we had good snow. Mostly man made and only about half the slopes were open, but it still didn't feel crazy congested. Our line waits averaged about 10 minutes, so we got a lot of runs in. Highly recommend this host and property and hope to make it back next year!

Cozy Christmas

This was an excellent getaway spot for our family to enjoy Christmas this year. We surprised our three daughters with a ski trip experience instead of gifts. It was conveniently located to Cataloochee Ski and was so cozy and comfortable to come home to and cook family meals together. My daughters especially loved the bears on the twin beds and the fireplace switch to turn on the flames. We are hopeful of returning in the future! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Fall Trip

The condo was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The location was perfect. Check in was super easy. The screened porch was my favorite thing! Lora checked on us to make sure everything was satisfactory and was available through texting if we had any issues.(which we didn’t) We had a wonderful time enjoying the fall colors. I would highly recommend this condo.

Snow Much Fun!

This condo was exactly as listed & all the positive reviews were spot on! Lots of daily use items were well stocked, which was so helpful. Unit was clean, bright & cozy. Our family enjoyed some sledding right behind the building thanks to a foot of fresh snow! Our young grandson was absolutely thrilled! Downtown Waynesville is a short ride away, with many shops & restaurants. Owner was timely in response to our questions. Highly recommend!

We have been visiting Maggie Valley for vacations for the past 18 years with our children who are teenagers now and felt it was time we owned a piece of beautiful Western North Carolina. We like to escape the Florida heat to visit as well as enjoy cooler temps in the winter.
I have a background in property management so luxurious comfort and cleanliness are my top priority for my guests.

Why they chose this property

We chose to purchase this property after renting many homes in the area over the past years. We found being up an isolated mountain was not for us and could be scary at night and very hard to navigate up windy narrow roads and time consuming to just get up and down to the main roadways.
We like the easy convenience of the location, yet we are still at 3000' with year round mountain views. The roads are not too steep on the drive to the condo so four wheel drive in the winter is not required as our main roads leading are plowed and kept clear on snowy days. And the resort style amenities are just a super plus!!

What makes this property unique

Golfers delight with putting greens and driving range, and pool & Jacuzzi to relax in after a long day. Even on bad weather days or if its just too cold out you can still enjoy a fun indoor use of the fitness center, or socialize in the bar at the Pin High Grill and have a delicious hot meal without having to drive anywhere. Contact the Pro Shop for all Golf fees, access & availability.
