Hi Jennifer- Thanks for taking the time to write a review about your "Great Experience" at Beau Rivage. So glad you enjoyed Duncan and our staff. We would love having you as return guests and thank you so much for your 5 Star recommendation. Yes, the commute can be a bit long depending on arrival date/time. I usually try to travel on Sunday when there is the least amount of traffic and Augustin can get me door to door in about one hour and 20 minutes. Not as long if you stop for your first rum punch at about the 30 minute overlook; a favorite of stop for a group photo before you get back in Augustin's comfortable air conditioned van. I am 67 with a bad knee and hip replacement and still have no difficulty easily walking to the beach while I am there. While I am in fairly good cardio shape, I need a knee replacement and would still not describe the walk as challenging. Instead, I tell potential guests it is a short sloping 5 minute walk down and a slightly longer 10 minute walk up which I would only not recommend for those with serious walking issues. My 84 year old Dad walked to the beach every day before he passed and absolutely loved the walk to the beach before our Chef prepared breakfast. Dad also loved walking to the nearby spa for a massage. Even as he got older, Dad still enjoyed the walk and turned down my offers to have me drop him off. Such great memories! I returned to St. Lucia yesterday and was glad to learn from my staff that during your families' stay, you were able to scuba dive, ride ATVs, kite-surf, visit our beautiful beaches and parks, and climb the Pitons; all in keeping with existing Covid-19 protocols.. My staff thoroughly enjoyed your family and hope that you will return in the near future for another active vacation. We also hope that you will share with your friends and family that as one of the few Covid-19 certified villa accommodations authorized to open in St. Lucia we welcome American guests who obtain a negative Covid PCR test result within seven days of arrival and who agree to observe existing St. Lucia Covid protocols while having a fabulous vacation. My apologies for not having responded earlier, but was awaiting the re-opening of our villa as a Covid-certified accommodation (which took a bit longer to re-open than anticipated). I am happy to advise that we are now one of the few villas authorized to re-open as a Covid certified accommodation and that since re-opening we have had back to back guests who like your family have enjoyed a "Great Vacation" at Beau Rivage Villa. St. Lucian Covid-19 protocols can be reviewed on St. Lucia's Ministry of Tourism website under "Travel Advisory" which are very favorable to villa vacations. Ajay, Cecilia, Fedora and Augustin have been fully trained and certified in all Covid-19 protocols and would welcome your families' return. We offer a 10% discount to returning guests and remain open for all American guests having a negative PCR Covid test taken within seven days of arrival to St. Lucia. With St. Lucia one of the few countries open to American travelers during the pandemic, we would love to see you safely return to St. Lucia this year.
