It was a very clean property and well maintained. 5 minute walk to the Rossio Train Station and good walking distance to shops and cafes and a grocery store. Mario was an excellent host. It is a 3 floor walk up so be prepared to trudge up with your luggage.

Mario was very prompt and easy to communicate with. Helpful for storing bags before/after check in/check out. The apartment is as described and has in a good location. To note, it is at a high point of Chiado so going out is downhill, coming back is uphill. Use the elevators/escalators at the shopping mall to help minimize the uphill climb. And lots of stairs up to the apartment.

The location was ideal. In the heart of everything but on a nice quiet street. Mario met us and showed us how to use everything, including the air conditioners, which were great. The kitchen was nicely appointed and Mario had a very nice map that pointed out restaurants, markets, trams, and the train station. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

The apartment was everything as advertised. Rui, Mario's partner was there to greet us when we arrived at a time much earlier than the posted check-in time. This kind consideration on his part was most appreciated. The apartment has one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with a bunk bed. This was a bit of a surprise to us at first as the advertisement said two single beds. However, upon a further review of the advertisement, the pictures did show a bunk bed, so it was our fault for not doing a proper due diligence. The apartment necessitates climbing multiple sets of stairs which can be a daunting task for older people at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The apartment is in the centre of the action in the hilly Chiado quarter of Lisbon with lots of restaurants close by. If you want to venture forth into the heart of the city which is a mostly flat area extending all of the way down to the waterfront, the walk down the hill is fine and takes about 10 minutes, but the walk up can take anywhere up to 30 minutes depending on the number of rest stops taken which are necessary for older people, so beware.

The location is great. AC worked well. It was clean. On a quiet street. Bedrooms have a nice view to the street and lots of light. There are blinds for the night. We met the landlord outside and he took us into the apartment to show us around and give us the keys. We had to pay 4 EUR/person/night in cash which he told us after we booked it. This wasn't disclosed in the apartment description. Double bed was very squicky and would make noise everytime we moved positions. Bunk beds need new mattresses. One was shorter than the bed and the springs could be felt on both mattresses. Could also feel the springs on the sofa.

Thank you for your opinion Mikayla. Some months, maybe an year, ago we replaced mattresses and as per guests suggestions (we do read reviews!) we added a topper on the double bed. Guests seem satisfied. Last guests before you referring beds, in September, said beds were comfy. Then again I am aware mattresses and pillows will never please everybody as it depends on what you are used at home.
