Plenty of room for family of six adults and two kids. About 30-40 minutes from Asheville, but easy access to Hendersonville and many pleasant shops and restaurants.
Great stay , just the right number of bedrooms and baths. Great dining table perfect for board games. Definitely was walkable to downtown. We do enjoyed our stay and appreciated the comfortable beds and all the little touches ( coffee- shampoo, conditioner and body wash
This is the third year we've rented from the owner, and we plan to go back again next year. The location is great for our visit with family who live in the area. The first floor primary bedroom is perfect for a guest who'd like to avoid stairs. There is plenty of room for everyone, and the house is exactly as presented. The communication with the owners is excellent.
House was just as advertised. Lots of room, plenty of space and close to everything in Hendersonville. Easy trek to grocery stores. We will be returning.
Great location downtown with a view. Minutes from Kanuga bike park and less than 20 minutes to Dupont. Clean and had plenty of linens. Plenty room for the 5 of us and our bikes
Second time staying in this beautiful home. House is in a great location and clean.
Only suggestion our group had was additional towels would be great with so many women in one house but we had the washer so all was well. Thank you Katie for allowing us to use your home.
Stayed at Kathy’s home for 3 nights and wish we could of stayed longer. The scenery from our master bedroom was something special! Very spacious home and didn’t feel crowded at any point. When returning to Hendersonville we without question be staying here again.
Thx Kathy!
Love the location. Amenities somewhat lacking, i.e., broken shower upstairs, poor television options and channels difficult to locate, less than well appointed furniture arrangement. Overall a terrific location but less than desirable property for our needs. Probably great for a larger group.
We had a very nice stay. Visited downtown Hendersonville multiple times and surrounding restaurants. Something for all ages to see and do. We went to Biltmore Estate and thoroughly enjoyed all there was to see. Flowers outside were mainly tulips due to the time of year. Inside flowers were breath taking. I would definitely recommend this as a must see event.
This home worked great for our extended family group of 8 adults. It was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Check in and Check out process was easy peasy. The views of the mountains and downtown were peaceful. There was plenty of space and bathrooms to make the visit enjoyable. The location while perfect was a bit confusing to find and the driveway/parking a bit tight but we managed once we understood the lay of the land. All in all we were very pleased with this rental and our entire group enjoyed themselves.
Great house in the middle of western North Carolina
I had only been to western North Carolina for work, so when were invited to a wedding at a camp in Hendersonville, we decided to take a full week so we could also explore the area.
The house is very comfortable and spacious. Katie was very easy to deal with.
We enjoyed walking to a brewery as well as a breakfast place. It was centrally located for the various waterfall hikes we did, as well as other breweries and a cidery.
We really enjoyed our week there.
This is a nice home for three couples - has two king bedrooms and a queen bedroom, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The queen has an adjacent room with bunkbeds and a double bed that share the jack and jill bathroom. The location is convenient to downtown. Kitchen is well equipped. We also rented the nearly identical home next door, and the two homes were excellent for a mini family reunion.
This house is roomy, has a cute view, and is within walking distance of fun downtown Hendersonville. However, for us, a good night's sleep is a must during a vacation that involved a lot of long-distance car travel. The bed pillow selection was narrow, offering no comfortable options for anyone in our 6-person party of adults. The only choices were XXL, very hard memory foam pillows or very flat, cheap sham stuffers. All the bed linens are synthetic fabrics. They and the towels have been repeatedly laundered in an offensive detergent leaving a very strong, unpleasant lingering odor. Our suggestion is to replace the linens with classic cotton fabrics, launder them in hygienic, hypoallergenic laundry products, and offer a better selection of comfortable bed pillows. Your guests, especially those with allergies, will get a good night's rest and will thank you! Otherwise, we enjoyed the house and we think it has great potential.
We've stayed here for the past several years for an annual family gathering, and the floor plan and location work extremely well for us. The home is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has everything we need during our visit.
The house was perfect! It was spacious, clean, and conveniently located. The covered portions of the decks were great while it rained. I planned the trip with a few friends to be kid-centric and the house was SO close to several attractions the kids loved. The adults without any children also found lots of restaurants, bars, and breweries to visit. I have never visited Hendersonville, but I would definitely return and stay here again!
Loved the house, the area, location and the ease of obtaining the rental. Owner was very easy to work with. House was CLEAN.! Tastefully decorated and very roomy. The kitchen was small but well appointed. Few minor cooking essentials missing and the dinnerware was random, but over all it served our needs.
I have some age on me so handrails on the entrance would have been a help. I was disappointed in the bed linens because they were not cotton but polyester, also they smelled of some scented laundry product. If you must have cotton linens bring your own. All of us enjoyed our stay in our families hometown and especially loved how convenient the house was to the downtown area. I recommend this property highly.
