Beautiful views of Lake Coeur d'Alene, and a 10 minute walk to Carlin Bay Resort & Marina. Our 3-bed, 3-bath, 3-level home sits on a hill 70 feet above the lake, looking out the floor to ceiling windows at Carlin Bay, the lake, and the surrounding hills. The newly renovated wrap-around deck provides spectacular views of the lake and beautiful sunsets.
The Loft En Suite has a king bed and jetted tub. Main floor bedroom has full/ twin bunk-bed with additional twin-size pull-out trundle and adjoining full bath. Ground level bedroom has a queen bed and adjoining full bath. There is also a queen-size sofa-sleeper in the living area on the main floor that has a comfy memory foam mattress. And a twin-size day bed nestled in the corner of the main floor living area.
The king and queen beds have plush foam-over-spring mattresses. The bunk beds have memory foam mattresses.
The fully complemented kitchen has plenty of storage space for food and supplies, and a large granite-topped island providing plenty of room for food preparation and serving. Dining table seats 8 and there is additional seating at the high-top table and the kitchen island. An outdoor gas grill is also provided just outside the kitchen door on the newly renovated deck.
On the lake side of the house is a secluded sitting area with a propane fire table where you can enjoy the view and perhaps a glass of wine after a day on the lake or exploring local backroads and trails.
We recently installed StarLink satellite internet service (June 2024). Back-up service is provided by a Verizon mobile hot-spot. Verizon signal is excellent. All cell providers' signals are boosted with a We-Boost unit.
There is a public beach and boat launch next to the Carlin Bay Marina, providing easy access to the lake within a 3-minute drive (about a 10-minute walk). Free public parking is available directly across the street from the beach park.
Overall, it's a great place to get away and relax, or use as a base to do some boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching, and exploring. Don't be surprised to see a bald eagle or two soaring overhead or perched on a nearby tree limb...

Beautiful views, great location and still close to everything. Will definitely be staying here again. The entire family loved it and Carlin Bay is just perfect.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. You are certainly welcome back anytime!
The little beach and swimming area were a great place for everyone in our group and the house and deck gave us plenty of room to spread out. Communications with the owner and property manager were excellent.
We had a wonderful stay here! The cabin was spacious, well stocked and comfortable. It was located in a prime area with access to the public dock and nice trails.
Fantastic place right next to the lake with a gorgeous view and only a quarter mile from the beach. Plenty of space in the cabin and has all necessary equipment there.
Outstanding View on Beautiful BayVery nice home with outstanding lake view. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Great place for our group of five friends to gather for several days. Comfortable outdoor furniture, spacious kitchen. Note that the bedrooms are on three different levels, with one downstairs and through the garage. Also the afternoon sun in July-August is intense and heats up the living area, but the fans kept it comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves and will likely be back!

We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We are working on some improvements that will add some shade to the deck for those hot summer days, and should have them done by next summer. We would welcome you back!
It was a great place to relax, cook meals and convenient location to the bike trails that we wanted to ride. The lake is beautiful! We would definitely go back.
Perfect for us with bedrooms separated for the 3 families. The house is in excellent condition super clean with all the things you need (cooking, BBQ and et.) also in great condition.
Great location quiet with great views and minutes from a public beach and rental boat docks.

Diane - Glad you enjoyed your stay at our Carlin Bay Retreat! We would love to have you back. If you ever want a getaway in the off-season, the lake is beautiful all year long, the eagles come and hang out in December, and the view is always changing as winter comes and goes.

Lovely cabin in the woods with an incredible view of the lake. We had a family getaway and enjoyed the location very much. Our only suggestions would be that a few oversized baby gates be provided, as there are a lot of stairs and it was a challenge keeping our 2 year old granddaughter safe.
Absolutely beautiful views. It was so quiet and very clean. I had a question about the wi-fi and texted the manager. They responded immediately and were very helpful.
Thank you for a great home to spend a few day in.
The property was great when we finally found it, dont miss your turn. But once we arrived we didn't want to go home. It was well kept and clean. The view beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed and more. I would rent this cabin again definitely.

Nancy - We're so glad you enjoyed your stay! Will and Cece said you took good care of the place, and our neighbor said you were all very nice. We would love to have you back and you are welcome anytime! Keep us in mind if you are looking to get away at other times than summer... The fall, winter and spring are all beautiful, and it seems every day brings a new view of the lake.
Thanks again for staying with us, and I hope you had a very Happy Birthday!
Gary
The house accommodated our extended family needs very well. The loft bedroom was a fun feature. Hope the owner has addressed an issue with the deck stairs which were in need of repair. Overall a great stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, Charles. We have the exterior stairs on our list of projects. They get exposed to a lot of snow in the winters... Still functional but need some maintenance. Hope you had a chance to use the new fire table!
Long week-end of bar-b-cue, boating, and ice cream at Harrison. Appreciated internet for checking emails with a number of us on-line at a time. We spent mornings and evenings on the balcony deck enjoying the weather, the view, and each other.
Comfortable and not fussy in any way. 3 of us taking retreat from the fires in neighboring states had a relaxing short stay. Although the house is not on the lake there is a lake view w only a few power lines to be seen out the large windows. The close neighbors have a beautiful garden. House is well stocked with kitchen basics. We enjoyed our stay.
Location has a very unique bedroom configuration, plenty of beds but on many levels of the house and garage.
Large windows for terrific views, but they make the temperature controls difficult. Still had a great time!!
We had our annual family get together at Carlin Bay last weekend, the home was perfect. Large kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment, plenty of places to sleep and just hang out and visit. Our son brought his fishing boat and we used the ramp just down the hill, couldn't be more convenient, you could walk to it from the house if needed. The Latitudes food trailer at the ramp and park has a great menu too. The outdoor fire and large deck are great to watch sunsets from, and the grill was big enough to make a meal for everyone. Had no trouble getting information from the owner and check in was quick over the phone. Great location, great stay.
We had a wonderful time staying at Gary’s property. The home is spacious and well supplied. The view from the back deck is amazing!! We were grateful for the a/c on the main floor and loft, as the August sun beats in STRONG in the afternoon. Glad to see he updated the listing regarding the WiFi/internet and TV streaming; neither is provided by host. The deck and outdoor stairs definitely need some maintenance. Hopefully that will be seen to soon.
Overall we had a great time in the Coeur d’Alene/Harrison area and we will definitely be back!
The location was perfect - quiet, out of the way and close to a marina. But the house needs some love. The inside was very nice, but There is no grassy area as shown - if there was, it is now over grown with tall weeds. We were going to bring our boat but decided not to and that was a good thing as there is no way we could have turned it around. The outside was very tired and the deck was super sketchy. Pictures online seem to be after a remodel some time ago.
It was ok. The neighbor is way too close, the driveway is small. The house is under construction. There was large amounts of mouse crap all over our motorcycles and atv that were left on the trailer in driveway and all over the deck and end tables. A faulty flapper in the toilet tank caused a lot of water damage which resulted in us not being able to use the power and having someone come over for 3 days to check on the damage. I planned this vacation to honor my son who passed in 2020, we made the best of it, but it was a little disappointing. There was definitely no turn around for a trailer like the website says. The owner also stated that it was possible that someone put too much toilet paper in the toilet, if that were to be true, the toilet would only flood until tank ran out of water. On a positive note the view is great!
