Family friendly house right on the lake!!!
Well maintained, newly reconstructed four bedroom home set on Danforth Bay, in Freedom, NH. Master suite has a California King Sleigh bed and balcony with French doors open to a beautiful view of the lake.. High ceilings and open concept throughout. Second bedroom on the second floor has a queen size bed.
Third bedroom on the first floor with a full size bed and fourth bedroom downstairs with two twin beds. The downstairs bedroom are open and airy and have curtain doors. There is a three season porch that leads onto a large deck with great views of the lake, and there are two bathrooms. Complete package with a Large circular driveway.
Enjoy smores at your Private beach with fire pit. There is a dock and swimming area on a sandy beach. Enjoy our two Kayacs and a paddleboard. Large deck up at the house with plenty of seating. You'll love listening to the loons and looking at the stars.
Modern amenities include dishwasher, washer/dryer, ceiling fans, TV, DVD, and WIFI. New this year we are offering linen service. If you would like all of the beds will made up for your stay at a cost of $100. If you prefer to BYO bedding that is no problem, we will delete the fee from your rental cost. Towels and some beach towels are provided. A few Assorted life vests also.
We are located 10 minutes from King Pine Ski resort. They offer tubing iceskating and skiing for the little ones. Enjoy your kids school vacation in our winter wonderland.
We have some of the best views and hikes for novice to experienced mountaineers. You will love it here in the heart of the White Mountains. Get away from it all and Relax!!!
Located 5 minutes from Goodhue Hawkins Marina where you can rent boats and jet skis, 10 min. From Indian Mound Golf course and 20 minutes to Hannaford. We are 35 minutes from North Conway where you can enjoy great restaurants and outlet shopping. Enjoy all the white mountains have to offer.

Great location with everything you need

House is located right on the lake. The deck overlooking the lake is great, as well as, beach/dock access from the property. My family really enjoyed use of the 2 kayaks and stand up paddle-board. Michelle the owner supplied great detail about the check in process and was very responsive . We will definitely stay here again.

Retreat by the lake

Our family of five enjoyed staying at this home which was very clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboard at the lake during a hot stretch of summer days.

Another great stay at Danforth Pond

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and we had another fabulous week! The weather was perfect and the pond was perfectly quiet, just what we needed! Michelle was a great host and supported us with all our queries. Looking forward to 2024!

Comfy but cluttered

Arrived at night to dark house with snow covered stairs from the driveway to the house. Motion sensor light outside would be nice. Nice flat driveway though. House was comfy but cluttered with multiple plants throughout and Christmas tree and decorations still up in February. Functional kitchen but fridge was 1/3 full with items / condiments some opened. Loved the living room with gas stove. Warm comfortable place to enjoy the TV and view of lake. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were great.

Ah yes plants, xmas tree and decorations (which the last family loved)and condiments... I will have them all removed forthwith. The walkway should of been shoveled I will address that with my shoveler. He always is prompt maybe something came up but normally it is all cleared. As for a motionlight in the woods of NH?- it would perpetually be going off so that is a definite no. But from now on I will be sure someone puts a light on I agree. Good luck with your future stays elsewhere.

Sumer Vacation 2023

The location is really beautiful with magnificent views of the lake and glorious sunsets. The house was very clean, the parking situation was perfect and Michelle, the owner was kind, accommodating and very responsive. Michelle actually called me to generously offer my family access to the house several hours earlier and also subsequently offered us to be able to check out a couple of hours later since there were not going to be renters there before or after our arrival/departure. What a sweetheart! We had only two issues with the property. 1) The first-floor bedrooms lacked privacy because they did not have doors nor closet space. There was only a single curtain panel hanging from rods hung between the walls within a floor to ceiling opening. They didn't completely cover the opening so there was a lack of privacy which we needed for our visit. 2) The distance down to the beach, over 50 steps plus walking distance on paths required extra planning for our nighttime firepit use. We had to be sure to bring everything needed with us first. Going back up to the house was a bit treacherous at night. We had a lot of fun joking about it but wished it could have been better. All in all, I would recommend this place as the setting and location is wonderful and Michelle the owner is great! Just be advised of the issues presented so you know with more accuracy what you will find upon arrival. If this home fits your needs, I would definitely advocate renting this vacation home! John

Great family getaway.

Our family had a great time at this lake house. The beach was quiet and private, but big enough for us all to enjoy. The lake is peaceful, has easy kayak access to secluded and undeveloped ponds, and plenty of fish to catch. The house is clean, comfortable, and roomy for the amount of guests permitted, and is well represented by the photos. The views of the sunsets from the deck were spectacular during our stay. If a family getaway on a quiet lake is what you're looking for, you will certainly be happy here.

Wonderful stay in Freedom

We had a wonderful time in Freedom and loved the house! There was more space than expected from the pictures with plenty of seating areas inside and out. The air conditioning and fans were great and we made the most of the Kayaks and Paddleboard! Michelle was a great host and answered questions quickly. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice house on quiet lake

Nice lake with small sandy beach. Beautiful view from large deck, but a lot of stairs going down to the lake. It has 4 bedrooms, but two of them don't have doors, only small curtains. Also no trash disposal. It's up to you take trash to nearby transfer station that charges a small fee per bag or you take trash with you. These are minor flaws that could be easily remedied. Otherwise it was a great vacation home.

Can’t wait to come back!!!

This home is everything you think about when you think “lake house”. We rented this house with another family. In total there were 4 adults and 3 teens. There was plenty of room for all of us. As stated in other reviews, the main floor has the more rustic feel and the second floor has been remodeled (or added on). There are two bedrooms (a queen and a king) upstairs along with a full bath and a reading nook. 1st floor has kitchen, full bath, twin room (2 twins and washer/dryer), the full size bedroom, living room and enclosed sun porch. The deck is huge with a dining table and a sitting area. Grill is provided too. The house has window unit A/C’s which kept up with demand in the heat that we had (crazy hot — mid 90’s and HUMID with heat advisories!) THIS HOME IS IMPECCABLY CLEAN and comfortable . I can’t stress this enough! The beach is private and was more than enough space for our group. The week we spent there was so hot. We spent hours out on floats and the water was very refreshing. There is a fire pit (permit required, incredibly easy to get on line) The views are incredible. We rented 2 paddleboards very close by for 2 days. There are 2 kayaks on the property. All 3 teens kept pretty busy with these for the whole week. Lots to explore and there are canals so you can get from Danforth to Lake Ossippee and other small lakes along the way. The water in the lake is clear and clean and so refreshing. We also rented a pontoon boat from Goodhue Marina (about 5 minutes away). You can rent a boat in NH as long as the boat is 25 hp or less without a boating license. Anything more, you do need a license. That was an 8 hour rental and worth the money. Some in the group went fishing and had good luck! Michelle is easy to get in touch with and got back to us right away with any questions. She is super accommodating! The neighbors on both sides are very friendly too. I would give this place 10 stars!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Lake Life Retreat

The house is in great shape, well designed and very comfortable for a relaxing vacation retreat—the outdoor deck with table is great for sitting outside in the morning or relaxing at dinner time. Had some unusually hot weather but a walk down to the water and a quick dip worked perfectly. There is some nice kayaking from the house—south into Ossipee Lake or north into a quiet channel and the kayaks are in good shape—although we brought our own paddles. Host is responsive and helpful. Really worked perfectly for us.

lovely lake house

We had a great time here on a family vacation in late July and early August. The location and the view of the lake (and easy access) were amazing. The lake was warm enough to swim in and we spent a large part of our vacation swimming and paddling around. One of the neat aspects of the location is that Danforth Pond (the lake the house is on) is part of a system of lakes connected to Ossippee. You can paddle/boat to all of them. They range from small-ish, with no motorboats or houses at all and lots of wildlife, to a huge lake (Ossipee) with tons of space. Danforth Pond is medium sized, with some motorboat traffic but not too much. The house was also great, with a lovely deck area and nice common spaces. It's worth noting that two of bedrooms have curtains instead of real doors. The kitchen is small but equipped with everything we needed. We will no doubt want to come back!

Freedom Lake House

We had a great stay at the Freedom Lake House. The location is convenient to supplies as well as activities in North Conway. The lake was perfect for kayaking, fishing and SUP. The lower bedrooms were a bit warm without air conditioning but open windows and a fan helped at night. Overall a nice vacation home for a family week a the lake.
