The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our long weekend. Communication with the host was great. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
We absolutely loved this little cottage! We loved the decor and open plan. The location was perfect for us - a few miles outside of St. Michael’s in a sweet, walkable, water accessible neighborhood. It was quiet and off the beaten path. We hope to come again in the future and highly recommend it to others.
A beautiful home in such a peaceful neighborhood. Clean, spacious, cozy, and quiet. Excellent communication with the host Nick. Would recommend again and again!
Our host was extremely accommodating, responsive, and the amenities in the house were perfect for our needs. This house is a little out of the way, but it was so quiet and the neighborhood was so lovely that we didn’t mind the short drive to St Michaels. And we got a bonus. We woke up Sunday morning to snow on the ground!!
Our family loved staying in this house. It was clean and well decorated, and the neighborhood was lovely. Our daughter especially loved the playground down the street. And a quick drive to local attractions and downtown St. Michael’s.
Property was clean and appeared as advertised. Some noticeable pet hair on the drapes. The owner was great with communication, he even had a video showing you exactly how to get to the property as it is a little hidden gem. Great fire pit, we didn’t use it but it was very nice w/ Adirondack chairs surrounding it. Cozy and comfortable and just a 15 minute ride to town.
What an amazing experience! Nick and Spencer were the BEST hosts. Super responsive for the (minor) questions we had about the house.
It is SO adorable in a quiet location and was the best for my husband, 11-year old daughter and our dog Ollie.
Highly recommend checking out this fantastic cottage for your next Maryland get away!
We had a wonderful stay, and the owner was kind and responsive in our correspondence. Overall our experience was very positive with the exception of a few quirks outlined below:
Showers in the house were a bit rough despite following directions about turning off other appliances - water pressure and temperature oscillated wildly even keeping the temperature knob in the same place (would be lukewarm then get very hot, then very cold, etc).
The stairs to the loft are quite slick. My son, wearing socks, slipped on them and slid down to the bottom. He was ok, but the stairs should be addressed.
I want to reiterate here that overall we had a great stay and would gladly do so again, but we wanted to leave the above details to help prep the next guests.
Booked this home last minute on VRBO for a warm and sunny weekend away in St. Michaels area. The home was lovely, perfect for the two of us and our English Bulldog. Well stocked, great screened in porch and comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
I cannot say enough great things about this stay. The home was perfect. Beautifully appointed, fantastic location and great communication from owner. Highly recommend.
We loved our stay in this lovely, peaceful cottage! It's beautifully decorated, has a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable beds (well, we slept in the king-sized bed, didn't try out the others), a great sectional in the main living area for watching the Phillies win, and a really roomy screened-in porch. There are neighbors, but the house is private, and it's a quiet little town. The bathroom is small, but well-organized. It was spotlessly clean and well-stocked. Easy drive into St. Michaels (the Chesapeake Maritime Museum is really cool - lots of wooden boats being restored). We would love to come back when it's a little warmer so we can spend some more time on the porch and star-gazing by the fire-pit!
Enjoyed our stay- cute little cottage a short drive from St Michaels. Dog enjoyed it as well-very peaceful nice trip-house has lots of charm-and unique qualities
Had a wonderful stay here with my spouse and dog. Everything was as described and exactly what we needed!

About the host
Hosted by Nick Einbender
My name is Nick and I'm a Dentist in the Air Force. I grew up in a small town outside of Seattle called Enumclaw. I went to college at BYU and subsequently dental school in Louisville Kentucky. Since working for the military I've lived in Las Vegas Nevada, South Korea, Germany, Hawaii and now Washington DC. Aside from dentistry I love photography and being outside enjoying nature. You can most often find me on some outdoor adventure, taking pictures (whether it's a gorgeous sunset or some ridiculous dessert), working out to maintain my fitness, or spending time with friends and family. And speaking of dessert I have quite an intense sweet tooth. I know, a dentist with a sweet tooth, I've heard all the jokes you can imagine in this scenario but it's true! I married my husband Spencer in July 2015 and we bought and renovated this home when I was transferred to Washington DC with the Air Force. Spencer has a background in interior design/visual merchandising and has worked very hard to design a beautiful cottage on the Chesapeake Bay for you to enjoy!
