The living room features a two-story stone fireplace and 46' flat screen HD TV. Large wrap around deck with mountain views, 3 king suites with large walk-in closets (master bath includes clawfoot tub), 3800 sq ft, built in 2007. Enjoy the second floor office loft overlooking the living room with mountain views. Home has a child's pack-n-play and high chair. Basement/Den/Game Room has 46' flat screen HD TV, foosball table, children's air hockey table and toys. Plenty of parking. Located at 3000 ft., our home is a great vacation get away in the Smokey Mountains!

Wonderful weekend away

The entire family enjoyed our stay. The kids especially liked having a game room and tv downstairs to hang out while we relaxed on the main floor by the fireplace.

Beautiful Mountain Home

We loved Tree Tops and can’t wait to go back! The owner was very helpful, especially when we got lost! We loved having our morning coffee on the wrap around porch taking in the view. Tree Tops was clean with comfortable beds in each room. A beautiful place to spend a weekend.

True Mountain get away

Nancy was great with communication. If your looking for a great away place this is it. The house and amenities are fantastic. views are good and location is close enough to Franklin for shopping.

Amazing House and Owner!

Our family came to go to the Polar Express, and we had so much fun! The house was absolutely beautiful AND it was decorated for Christmas! The owner was so responsive and friendly, it felt like we were staying at a home owned by friends. Our kids loved played in the woods and we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back!

We had a great time in the mountains. The cabin is lovely & homey with beautiful views of the mountains. Definitely need all wheel drive to get up the mountain to the cabin. Nancy was a pleasure to communicate with. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Amazing!

If only we hadn't had to leave... I can't say enough about how perfect this cabin was for a beautiful Fall, long weekend. The view of the mountains with the colorful leaves was more than I could have hoped for. Nancy was one of the best property owners I have ever dealt with. Mountain Paradise

This place was everything advertised and Nancy was one of the best hosts we have ever had. She checked in ahead of our trip and made sure we were very prepared for getting there despite arriving late and in the dark. The cabin was wonderfully stocked and everything we could have hoped for. The place is off the beaten path, exactly where we wanted to be, and the perfect opportunity to get the family off the grid and into nature. You are right in the heart of the Smokey's and there are no words for the beauty. We will absolutely be returning and recommending this cabin and Nancy to everybody we know!

Awesome Cabin at the Top of The Smokies!

This cabin is awesome!! Beautiful and Secluded. King Size Bedrooms in 3 out of the 4 rooms, and the owners spared no Expense to make sure everything is present during your stay! Nancy was awesome the whole time with any questions and or concerns. I wouldnt hesitate going back to this cabin. If you have you want an awesome getaway, I highly recommend this vacation! If it rains or snows, have a truck or 4WD, recommended by the owner. It's a mile up the mountain, but it's worth the ride!! Memorial Day Weekend 2020 will be a memorable one!

The house specs were accurate

Other than the drive to the property everything was great. The biggest issue was big brother was watching us the entire time with multiple text to us. We have been renting cabins in the Bryson City area for the past 15 years and never even heard from the owner. Obviously this person should not be renting the cabin out/

Bruce, you know you disrespected the house rules of NO pets and leaving an hour plus later than checkout. We’ve never had renters in 3 years that blatantly lied…you said, “Ok with road and NO pets”. This review is a retaliation for “your” disobeying the rules and not being honest! This is your text to me as you left…Everything is great. The cabin is great. Just left. House is clean and locked. Had a great time. Now, future renters can see who is being dishonest!😉

All we could have asked for

We highly recommend this house. Communication with Nancy was easy and flawless even way before we arrived. She responded quickly and had lots of tips and recommendations for us. Upon arrival everything was warm and welcoming and the house was stocked with everything we could have asked for. The Christmas decorations were lovely and created the perfect backdrop for our holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit despite the spring like temperatures this year. The mornings were for coffee in a rocking chair on the porch. Mother deer and her two youngs greeted us out there the first day. Everything was the way it was described in the listing and we would definitely rent from Nancy again.

Destination Thanksgiving Family Gathering

This home exceeded our expectations and met all of our needs. An absolutely beautiful setting for our family to meet and spend Thanksgiving weekend together. The home is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen was AMAZING and well stocked with any and all items needed to prepare our meals. The extra-large wrap around porch was a wonderful place for the twins to play and run around and provided great viewing of the mountains. The bedrooms are very large and roomy. Gathering around the beautiful stone fireplace was our nightly routine to visit and play games. It is very important to me that my family all sit together at the same table for Thanksgiving dinner. The dining room table was perfect - we had enough seating and space for all the adults and twins to sit together. The home was beautifully decorated for the season. I would love to come back and highly recommend to anyone who wants a true mountain experience in an elegant home.

Beautiful Mountain View cabin

Spend Christmas in the mountains with our family of 8. The cabin was decorated perfectly for Christmas. The kids loved it as well. Very spacious, comfortable and clean! Highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was amazing! The amenities offered were incredible- jacuzzi, fire pit, well-stocked kitchen and kid friendly. She had it decorated for Christmas and that made it magical. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Mountain Paradise

This house sits on top of the mountain so expect to see mountain roads. The house is absolutely beautiful. The views are amazing. The scenery is tranquil. The hot tub was perfect in the brisk mountain air. Nancy was an amazing host quick to respond to any questions we had. The wifi was a little spotty( you are on top of the mountain) which I didn't mind. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and plan on returning in the near future.

Beautiful Cabin in Franklin

This property is big, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Great location in Franklin. We saw a lot of deer on and around the property. The kids loved the game room. Kitchen has everything you need. The rooms are big and the cabin well decorated. It’s the best property we have stayed st in the mountains.

Annual Family Vacation

We had a party of 7 family members who spent a week at Tree Tops. Everyone thought the house was wonderful! We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the mountain location, yet we were close enough to take a day trip to Asheville and a few local restaurants. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Parent’s Anniversary Celebration

We loved the house and Nancy was very responsive and great to work with. The house and deck are very spacious and just very nice. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit as well. I would definitely recommend having 4 wheel drive vehicles as the road up is steep in places. It’s a great place and enjoyed by all!

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful family reunion in this beautiful home. The layout was perfect for the three adult couples in our family as well as our two kids. Each couple had a lovely room with a private bath, and the kids got to hang out next to the game room. The home was spotlessly clean, and so beautiful. The natural light is amazing, and the wrap around porch is so comfortable! The kitchen is extremely well equipped and worked perfectly for all of the meals we prepared. The setting around the home is beautiful and the location is conveniently close to many outdoor activities. Our only slight difficulty was the road up. Two of our three cars were not very well suited to the steep gravel road. It had just rained before we arrived, and our little Prius almost didn't make it up the hill. We were given plenty of fair warning, but were perhaps a little overly optimistic about our cars' capacity. Next time, we might consider renting an all wheel drive for the week, but would definitely love to come back!

Fabulous mountain retreat!

This property has everything one would possibly need in a home away from home. Kitchen was fully furnished. Bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable with lovely king size beds and private baths. The lower floor game room and bedroom was a fun place for three grandsons to play and sleep. And outdoors provides a large hot tub and great fire pit! Even though there were plenty of places to visit off the property, we didn’t want to leave. Plenty of adventure was all around the property. The drive up the mountain road was a bit intimidating, but our front- wheel drive crossover vehicle made it just fine. Totally awesome experience all around!!

We have lived in many places in our 35+ years of military life. Karl grew up with mountains surrounding his hometown and Nancy grew up on flat desert lands of West Texas. Our assignments took us to North Carolina five different times and our children call it "home". We now live in Florida and miss the four seasons of North Carolina.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a reprieve from the oppressive heat and humidity of Florida in the summer months. We began our search for cooler weather and had always loved the mountains of North Carolina. We wanted a place with mountain views, a big porch, enough bedrooms & bathrooms to accommodate our large growing family, and a place to share with other families.

What makes this property unique

This home is a mountain vacation dream, a stunning log home nestled close to the top of Bench Mountain in beautiful Cowee Valley. Surrounded by nature gives one a sense of tranquility. "THIS IS OUR HAPPY PLACE!"
