Traveled to Flagstaff to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter attending NAU. This property was very near NAU and downtown. Plenty of choices of restaurants and bars that are less than a block away. Property was quiet and dark. Heaters kept us comfortable. Visited Sunset Crater, the Pueblos and Walnut Canyon. I'd be happy to stay here on future visits.
Very conveniently located to the heart of downtown Flagstaff with plenty of eateries, cafes, around every corner. The property is very clean and exactly as described. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if available.
Overall we would stay here again but I think there is are some things that others should read and consider before booking as some things we are okay with may not be okay for others.
Good location in terms of proximity to NAU and downtown Flag, however the location next to the shelter and the parking situation with the gate and behind a restaurant that keeps trash and the backdoor open is not ideal. If I were traveling alone as a single female or single mom, I would not have felt comfortable staying here.
We were happy to have a dog friendly option, however the courtyard has a large tree that was dropping large berries (looked like huge blue berries) on the patio and driveway. Our dog consumed a couple so it made us uneasy not knowing what they were and if they could be toxic to dogs.
The unit itself was older but nice - there is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The listing says two bedrooms but as shown in the photos and it’s not private / enclosed.
We stayed here for graduation weekend. Easy to walk everywhere and we used the outdoor patio often. Everything was clean and just as advertised.

Wrong address listed twice, had to search and read all information to find accurate address. No one answered my calls or texts. Once we found the place the box with the keys was frozen or broken. I had to call the number on the wall to get assistance. He was fast and helpful. I didnt see the thin wire to pull to open the gate....once we made it in we were good....it took over an hour. Super stressed with my family in the car. I didnt love the entrance gate that you have to get out of your car to open and close....its a cute bungalow but a bit more work that I needed....
We loved this property. The location was amazing. The beds were comfortable, the heaters worked well, and the shower is amazing with hot water and good pressure.
The only thing that would have made it better was if there would have been a broom. We would have loved to use the patio and table in the gorgeeous weather, but it was too covered in leaves and crushed plums. Also, some paper cups for the coffee maker would have helpful for that first morning.
Other than that it was great. Would definitely stay again.
We probably saved $20+ a day in parking during our stay. We walked to almost everything we did in the downtown area. 4 breweries within a 5 minute walk. Just used our car to go out of town for hikes, etc... The place is very comfortable and was quite clean. Guests need to bring their own glassware, dinnerware and silverware, even a corkscrew. There is NO KITCHEN if you missed that in the description. A quick trip to Goodwill took care of our need for these items.
Note: the train station is 3 blocks away. Take into consideration if you're a light sleeper. This is a major east/west rail route and the trains run 24/7. Didn't bother us though.
Stayed for work and was in the middle of everything. Thank you.

Great location, but flawed
Accessibility: 2/5 - there is a large and heavy gate you need to open/close to get into the entrance of the units and where you can park. It was hard finding out that this closed gate was actually where I was supposed to go since there were no instructions. Additionally the shower is large and does not really consider accessibility. Mobility wise: There is a significant height difference between the outside ground and the bottom of the entrance (front door).
Amenities: 2/5 - coffee station: there is a keurig with about 6 pods for your use and the standard sugar/coffee cups are available. They left 3 water bottles. There are large heaters in the bedroom and living room. There is a single, tiny AC window unit in the bedroom that can barely cool said bedroom. There is a fan and a ceiling fan for use. There is a microwave and small desk/table in living room. The enclosed patio didn’t really get used bc it was too warm but it was a nice feature.
Cleanliness: 3/5 - the sheets on the bed were linty.Additionally I found some ants on the windowsill opposite the bed in the living room area.
Comfort: 3/5 - it was a sauna. Think twice if you are sensitive to heat and are being enticed by the unit’s AC claim. sheets themselves were also terribly warm. large shower was a plus.
Location: 4/5
Notes: Consider signage at gate or better instructions to finding where you need to go. Consider investing in an automatic or semi automatic gate out front. Cooler bedding in summer. BETTER AC
Upon entry we were overwhelmed with a powerful odor and immediately locked up and left within 15 minutes of opening the door. I was out of cell service but was able to contact the owner within 3-4 hours of leaving. They claim the smell was investigated and did not find anything. Clearly a case of 'I said/She said' however, since we had driven to Flagstaff, went inside and had to immediately leave due to the offensive odor, why would I lie? We were already there! Sometime later they investigated and claim not to find anything offensive. I don't doubt the owner is telling the truth, the odor could have dissipated. Too bad the owner is not willing to give us the benefit of the doubt and think that I was telling the truth.
Location is perfect, specially if you want to park your car and just hang around down town. 10 to 15 min walk to NAU was perfect! So this is really a two queen beds one bath one bedroom. When you walk in there is a bed, couch table. To your left you see the bathroom and a the door to the bedroom. So keep in mind who ever sleeps in main room will not have privacy.
But it was clean and convenient. Easy check out nice little private patio. We def. Would stay again! 😊
We had stayed in one of these clean beautiful cottages for our honeymoon. Everything in beautiful historic flagstaff is a walk away. The cottage was more than sufficiently furnished and tidy. We actually got to talk to one of the owners and he was a really friendly guy, and made sure that we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing. The only thing was when we got there, it was very late and the gate to the courtyard was a little tricky to find but it’s to the left of the diner building. Late at night it can get pretty rowdy along the street but it’s far back enough from the road to feel away from it all. 10/10 would recommend this location!
Nice & neat unit … walkable to everything downtown with many restaurants just steps away. Yoga studio across the street is amazing. Easy check-in and check-out … Parking was great but spaces were not assigned & manual gate was a bit difficult to operate. Main room was private & quiet with TV & many streaming options, sheets were hotel quality.
Our family stayed here 3 nights while we visited the Grand Canyon and other National Parks in the area - all easy car rides away. When we got back in the evening we could walk to shops and restaurants. Parking can be hard to find so it was nice to have a gated parking spot (opening and closing the gate took some practice and some muscle). Beds were comfortable, water pressure in the shower was strong and the tankless water heater made it so we could all shower without worrying about someone having a cold shower. The host allowed us an early check in which was much appreciated!
This was a very cute little place that offers seclusion right in the middle of downtown. Perfect location and great amenities. We will be back for sure!!
Location was perfect for visiting campus and lovely downtown area with fantastic restaurants to choose from. Great space and we felt very safe there. Beds were both very comfortable. Bring your slippers to help you settle in as the wood flooring is charming.
Overall the property was good. Minor improvements need to be done. For example, the T.V may beed an upgrade. Hard to see with such a small TV. And there was only 20 channels available. I feel that if you are going to have guest with children satellite, a TV with more than 20 local channels is a must. In addition, the front metal gate latch needs a better way of opening it than just a metal wire. Overall the cottage was clean, warm, and location was perfect.
