Super 4 Bedroom Villa With Fantastic Views Near Beach and Village

This luxury villa built in 2000 and refurbished 2014 is ideal all year for the retired, families on maternity/paternity leave and as a holiday home for one or two families with children. The one story villa has three ordinary bedrooms and one family bedroom for up to four people. Two bedrooms are en suite. The villa enjoys the sea breeze of summer, but air co/heating is fitted. The furniture is contemporary Scandinavian and brand new as of 2014. Wireless internet is included.

Outside is a dinner area, a spacious deck and a circular 50 m2 pool. There is a great sea view from the deck and pool area, but the gem of the house is the roof terrace, which offers a 360 degree view of the coast to the South, the hills and mountains to the North, and Portimao/Praia da Rocha to the West.

Three great beaches are a five-ten minutes walk away, and it is a short drive (or 20 min walk) to the square of Ferragudo village. Several restaurants are within a short walking distance, Gramacho and Pinta golf courses are located a short drive away.

Great family home

Comfortable house

We had an excellent stay! The house has everything you need. It was very clean. Bedrooms are big so every family had his privacy. The 4th bedroom is somewhat smaller but good for kids. The house is near the beach so with kids you can walk to it. The town is a fishermentown. Really cute. We had breakfast in a local bar every day. We only had a problem with the boiler. But the owner reacted really quick and sent someone to adjust the new installation. Thank you Haakon and Kristin.

Great location and view, plumbing and cleanliness issues.

Our family of six visited in mid-April of 2023. We were happy with the location in relation to walkable beaches. The rooftop view was outstanding. The kitchen was very nice. The backyard and pool area were lovely. Unfortunately, the pool was solar heated, so it was too cold for our grandchildren to play in even though they had wetsuits. The listing did not reflect that the pool was unheated, so we found this out just prior to arrival through communication with the owner. This home could be outstanding but there were problems related to deferred maintenance that kept it from being a five-star rental. The underneath side and legs of the highchair were covered with mold. We were very unhappy with the master bathroom. The removeable shower head was broken. The lower shower tiles had mold and missing grout. Vanity faucets were in disrepair. In the other main bathroom, we had a major plumbing problem. When the toilet was flushed, water flowed out at the seam between the floor and toilet base. We would not rent this place again.

Ha 1 casa de banho que apoio o quarto maior com 4 lugares e 1 quarto com 2 lugares que é muito pequena. Esse quarto com dois lugares tem as portas como as dos saloons americanos, embora do chão ao texto, mas com muitos vidros e não tem qualquer privacidade. O mobiliário da sala é exíguo, especialmente se forem 10 adultos a alugar a casa e queiram juntar-se à volta da salamandra. So tem 1 sofá para 3 pessoas e mais 3 cadeiras pouco confortáveis. Na mesa da sala é difícil de sentar 10 adultos ao mesmo tempo. O mais ridículo é o tamanho da televisão. É pouco maior que o ecrã de muitos lap tops.

Thanks for your response. The photos give an accurate impression of what the house and furniture looks like. We agree it might feel a little tight if ten adults are staying inside to watch tv. Most people prefer the semi-closed dining area outside. We have two huge bathrooms and one smaller to share between the four bedrooms in the way that guests llke. There are blinds to cover interior windows. This is for information, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Großzügiges Haus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten

Das Haus ist großzügig und hat genügend Platz. Wir haben Pool, die unterschiedlichen Zimmer und auch die Umgebung (Strände, Restauratns, Ferragudo) sehr genossen.

Estadia razoável

Check in inexistente, limpeza precária e sem limpeza durante a estadia, roupa de cama individual em camas de casal, piscina muito profunda não adaptada a crianças e a zona de estar comum tem um sofá igualmente precário e a TV é minúscula. A zona é fantástica, cozinha bem equipada, tem mosquiteiros, ar condicionado e piscina com boa manutenção, uma boa zona grelhados com grelhador.

These guests did not realize they were given check-in instructions a month before arrival and we resent instructions when they arrived. Probably that's what got them off to a bad start, the house was thorougly cleaned. It is clearly stated in house rules that there is no additional cleaning during a week-long stay. The guests didn't get the tv to work. It does work, but it takes some time. Most people these days use the internet for tv. It is true that the pool is about 2 m deep. The guests left an enormous amount of garbage when they left. It filled 12 large bags and some of it was rather smelly.

Bon emplacement Joli jardin

Maison très bien placée, bien exposée et près des plages, pas loin du joli village de Ferragudo. La piscine n'est pas chauffée mais nous le savions et il a fait bon donc pas de souci. Plus tôt dans la saison nous aurions été ailleurs. La cuisine est bien équipée mais nous avons acheté une machine pour faire des cafés expresso que nous avons laissée. Les points à améliorer cependant: mobiliers intérieurs et extérieurs à changer car pas adaptés à un groupe de 8 personnes et plus en état. Les sanitaires sont fonctionnels mais vieux. La décoration n'est pas chaleureuse et accueillante. Le jardin est beau et bien entretenu. La piscine est suffisamment grande et profonde (attention). Nous reviendrons peut être suivant la saison!

A casa é bem maior do que aparenta nas fotografias, está localizada num bairro calmo e muito perto de zonas principais do Algarve. Está muito bem equipada. O único senão é a piscina ser um pouco funda demais.

Family Easter break

I stayed with my 3 children at Haakon’s beautiful villa. It was absolutely spotless, well equipped and even more spacious than the photos. The kids loved the pool (even though it was a bit chilly when we were there). The link action was great as there are lots of beautiful beaches just a short distance away. Ferragudo is a lovely village. Highly recommend!!

Schönes Haus mit großartigem Meerblick

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Villa CasaNova. Das Haus ist viel geräumiger als es auf den Fotos aussieht und es war alles sehr sauber. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist mehr als ausreichend und der große Pool sowie der Garten sind top gepflegt. Rund um ein perfektes Urlaubsdomizil. Wir würden Jederzeit wiederkommen!!! Vielen Dank Haakon!!! P.S. noch ein kleiner Tipp: die große aber unscheinbare/versteckte Dachterrasse die man von der Seite des Hauses erreicht eignet sich super um den Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang über den Dächern von Portimao zu beobachten.

Very spacious and excellently located house with a wonderful pool, superb views and close to bea

We spent a lovely week in Casa Nova with three generations of our family. The rooms are even larger than they look in the photos and the panoramic views from the roof terrace are superb. The pool is a great place to swim and relax and there are beaches very nearby as well as a couple of great restaurants.

Perfect house for families

The guest might refer to the fact that irrigation was prohibited from March through the summer of 2024. This caused the grass to die. We are sorry about that and wish for a healthy winter with lots of rain. Kristin & Haakon

Our family is Norwegian and lives in Oslo. We use the house for holidays and sometimes as location for work (since we have independent, research based jobs), but it is a pleasure to rent the house to others when we are not there ourselves.

Why they chose this property

We had been vacationing in Portugal as well as in Spain, Greece and elsewhere, but when the time came to aquire something ourselves we decided the Ferragudo-Carvoeiro area was the best we'd been to. We particularly like the unspoilt and unbuilt land areas from the lighthouse towards Carvoeiro, we like the ever changing pattern of flowers, and we like the fact that Portugal (almost) never becomes too hot in summer.

What makes this property unique

There are three unique aspects to Casa Nova. One, it has a fantastic view of the sea and the coast. The view from the roof terrace, in particular, is gorgeous. Two, it features a circular private pool that is quite unique and special. Three, it is ideally positioned just a few minutes' walk from family friendly beaches and restaurants.
