Peaceful site, great views and a good location for getting to all the beautiful places in St Bride's Bay - beaches, and coast path. Basic shop, nice pubs and fish and chips at Broadhaven. Haverfordwest and Milford Haven not too far away if you get supermarket withdrawal. The beaches are some of the best but if you've never been before, check out tide times and heights!
Perfect position with a view of fields and woods. The property was modern and well equipped. Quiet, peaceful and dog friendly we enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again.
Beautiful part of rhe world. Lovely site, peaceful and quiet. Lovely lodge with full height fridge/freezer, large new sofa and comfy beds. Games room very useful with teenagers! Would love to stay again.
A great lodge which is set in the Timber Hill resort. Fantastic views and a great base for beaches along the coast. Everything you need is in the lodge which is helpful as there is no shop on site and the nearest Tesco is 10-15mins away. Lodge was clean (although wasps kept finding their way in!) and comfy but we spent most time out and about.
This is the second time we have stopped in the Lodge. There have been some improvements with a new front door, new kitchen and some changes in the bathroom. It’s still a great place to stop and would recommend to anyone. Really dog friendly both the lodge and the park. Robert always replies quickly to any questions you may have. It’s a lovely quiet setting with a superb view from the balcony. We will be going back again at some point as. Enjoyed the 25 minute walk through the woods to get to the Galleon pub where they do excellent real ale and food. Thank you Robert for a superb holiday.

Thank you. I’m delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit when we will have completed the upgrade to the lodge.
We had a wonderful week away. The lodge was lovely and had everything that we needed. It is located in an absolutely stunning setting only 20 minutes' walk from the nearest beach. It is also perfectly located to explore the wider area. The owner had also provided lots of very helpful information about places to visit. We had a lovely break and would love to return in the future. Thank you.
We spent 2 weeks in Timber Hill and we loved it. As WiFi signal was almost never strong enough to catch our smartphones indoors we enjoyed to be truly remote. Haverfordwest with different supermarkets isn't far away, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need (fridge, deep freezer, cooker, oven and lots of cookware and dishes, all in very good condition), so selfcatering was very easy.
Cedarwood Lodge was an ideal starting point for Pembrokeshire. It felt like home and we were really sad when we left.
If you want peace and quiet this is for you. Nice woodland walk to the beach but the closeness of Haverfordwest means major supermarkets are here for the self catering.

Value for money, fab view
The setting is idyllic and peaceful, the price is good value, the shower is great, the beds are comfy, a great touch that there was cleaning products there, however the property needs updating, had a few issues with the tv having to reset it everyday as the picture kept going off, the blinds need updating, would benefit from a barn door as it gets really hot when the suns out and as below we couldnt leave the door wide open -
i love the fact dogs are welcome however if your dog is an escape artist like ours!! then this is unsuitable, the weather was really good and our dog loves being outside, however we had to keep her inside as there was no other way to keep her from running off! It would be great to have a gate on the veranda and smaller gaps around the bottom to give people with dogs the same to have the confidence to let them out, i personally would be happy to pay more money with these additions put in place
We really enjoy where we stayed and would recommen others to come lovely location
Very good experience and peaceful

Gemengde ervaring.
Wat beter poetsen en controleren was welkom. Veel.spinnenweb en vette pannen. Extra kachel en verwarming badkamer werkten niet. Voor de herfstvakantie best fris.
Omgeving is fantastisch.

Thank you for the review.
We have made a note about the cleaning and have passed this on to the cleaners.
The bathroom heater does work, there is an isolater switch outside the bathroom door that needs to be turned on as well as the pull switch on the heater in the bathroom.
I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and agree the area is 'fantastic'.
Had a relaxing stay in wonderful well managed surroundings. A place to go to forget the digital world and breathe in fresh air. Plenty of walks, particularly through the woods to Broadhaven Beach.
Lovely property which was very well equipped and had lots of extras like books and games. Set in beautiful grounds with big windows facing south so we had some amazing sunrises and sunsets. Really good for the dogs and extras like outside lighting and solar lights outside made all the difference to those trips outside last thing at night.
Lovely little chalet perfectly located to explore the stunning surrounding area. Especially loved the woodland walk to the beach.
Really grateful to the owner for our family holiday.
Though the property had not been cleaned very well ( this was not done by the owner) it had been hoovered but the work tops, microwave, bathroom needed a clean before we could use them. Apart from that lovely and at a comfortable and reasonable price.
This is a great place to stay if you want piece and quite. The lodge is good the area is great.20min walk to the beach through a lovely wooded area.People are friendly.walks around the fields are wonder, evn better if you own a dog.We loved it.Many Thanks.
We had a great stay here. The cabin is clean and well equipped, with a lovely view. The site is lovely too, great for children. There’s lots to do locally and lovely beaches and walks. We didn’t have the best weather unfortunately but hope to return in the future to make the most of the area. Thank you!

A secluded well maintained gem of a hideaway in a great location
When we arrived all was as outlined by Robert in the property description. Our visit was in mid September and although sadly the weather was a bit glum the lodge offered us a cosy hub from which we could explore the many beautiful beaches, castles and other monuments in the surrounding Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline. All were in easy reach by car down some leafy lanes and the furthest no more than a 30min drive away in any direction.Robert has a comprehensive selection of books and pamphlets on tide times and places of interest at the lodge so finding some real Pembrokeshire gems was not difficult. The lodge being in the 'front row' of properties offers an amazing view over woodland down to the brook and beyond and the local beach at Broadhaven a 20min walk or 6min drive has a sandy beach with plenty of rock pools to explore when the tide is out and a local pub and cafe for refreshments.
To sum up I would thoroughly recommend this property as the ideal place to explore the South and West coast and countryside of Pembrokeshire .We both enjoyed our stay very much and thank Robert and his family for allowing us and our dogs to stay for the week and at such a reasonable price it was very much appreciated.A+++++

About the host
Hosted by Robert Cooke
Why they chose this property
My father bought the lodge in 1973 when the lodges were built. It is very different now to what it was. From a barren hillside, Timber Hill has become a mature, beautiful haven for guests to relax and enjoy.
What makes this property unique
I and my family go regularly to the lodge. Whether in heavy snow, making the drive up Timber Hill 'interesting', but the lodge cosy, the Spring (my favourite time to go), when Pembrokeshire is ridiculously quiet, less so in the summer as our guests primarily use it and on to the Autumn when the seals and their pups are easily visible (I had one lick my shoe once), the area always offers something different and interesting every time. I don't suppose many properties that are let have been owned by the same family for over 50 years, but we intend to pass it on to our children. meaning we have a vested interest in making the chalet clean, comfortable and welcoming for everyone who stays so that we can also enjoy 'our retreat'
