Two adult cruiser-style bikes with helmets are available for riding around the community.

PLEASE NOTE - Optional full membership transfer to renter and their spouse/common-law partner for a one-time fee of $525 + tax. This fee is optional if the renter wants full club privileges as a member e.g. golf, tennis, pickleball, access to pool and recreation facilities, etc. Golf greens fees can be found on the River Strand website. The membership transfer fee and greens fees are set by the River Strand Board and are subject to change.

The River Strand golf course offers 27 holes with challenging water and sand hazards. Multiple tee blocks make the course accessible to everyone from the competitive golfer to the beginner. Men’s and women’s leagues are available with the membership transfer along with access to many special events. Dinner and drinks can be found after golf at the newly renovated clubhouse and at the tiki bar by the clubhouse pool.

The recreation facilities offer a 24-hour fitness center, fitness classes, 9 lighted tennis courts, 8 lighted pickleball courts, and card groups. There are many pools throughout the community, including 2 central pools and several community pools scattered throughout the different units.

At River Strand you feel like you’re at a cottage full of amenities, while also having easy highway access to the restaurants, shopping, culture, and dining of Tampa, St Petersburg, and Sarasota. The area surrounding River Strand offers so much to explore. For shopping, University Town Center, Ellenton Premium Outlets, and Costco plaza are a short drive away. For sunbathing and sand, Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, and Lido Beach are close by. St Armand’s Circle in Sarasota offers a unique shopping and dining experience, and the sunsets along Longboat Key shouldn’t be missed.
