Very clean, beds very comfortable,lots of room. This was one of the best homes I've stayed in. Loved everything about the home. We will definitely recommend this home to all of our friends and family. Very relaxing vacation.

Loved it.

Great location, super easy to get to beach, restaurants, grocery store. Loved the natural light in the master bedroom, private yard and saltwater pool was awesome. I would rebook this place for another visit to Destin.

Nice house by the beach

Our family enjoyed our stay at Blue Haven. It was a short walk to the beach. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive away. Owner was quick to respond. Our kids loved the pool. It was perfect for our time in Florida.

We love this house and feel like it is our home away from home. The location is great and the private pool is just a huge bonus! Cathy, the owner, was very responsive. I requested adequate gas for the grill because we love to cook seafood while there. There was a gas container attached to the grill, as well as an additional available. Thanks very much.

Spring Break 2023

We enjoyed this property a lot! Short walk to the beach and the pool was awesome. The place didn’t have enough dinnerware for my whole family. No propane for the grill. Just a little disappointing in that aspect. Tried to let the owner know but no response.

Great family trip!

This was our first time staying in the Destin area and we loved it! Cathy, the owner, was super quick to answer questions before I booked and allowed us to bring our sweet 4 year old golden doodle with us for the week. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4. We loved having the private pool in the backyard(although chilly at this time of the year without heat) , there were beach and sand toys in the laundry room we used for the kids, beach chairs and rafts too! The location of the house was fabulous and perfect. We walked to the beach everyday as it was a very easy walk for us all with all our stuff. Definitely loved being in a neighborhood and walking around. The king beds were nice and comfy, my kids loved the bunkbeds. We had a few issues after arriving and the property management company was very quick to respond and help us. Thanks for a great stay. We appreciate you sharing your home with us !

Great Location!

Our family if 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5-10 minute drive to shops, grocers, and dining. The kitchen had all the appliances you could want. There are only a couple of things I would note: 1.) the twin bunk is off the living room and has no door or curtain, so there will be zero privacy for those who stay in that space. 2.) There are no beach toys, beach towels, chairs, or umbrellas. 3.) There wetent any dish towels, rags, oven mitts, or dishwasher pods in the kitchen. Because of these last two points, you will have to purchase some stuff you probably won't want to travel back with. Just a heads up for those who have a full car coming and going and those who need beach toys for kids. The pool was beautiful and clean, the yard was well landscaped, and the grill was amazing! We would stay here again.

Great place for family

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this location and would recommend it! The Owner was quick to respond and got someone out there when I reached out because the pool had not been cleaned, and it was cleaned the very next day. My only complaints would be that the back yard was quite overgrown and needed mowed and cleaned up a bit, and lots of construction in the area, but overall I would book this house again, it was perfect for 2 families of 4 close to walk with younger kids to the beach access.

Great location, management lacking.

Upon arrival to property we noticed the kitchen sink was not draining and then discovered that the dishwasher had standing brown water in it. When we used the kitchen sink, we had to clean up water that was running out of the dishwasher on to the floor. We immediately reached out to the property manager and property owner to let them know. Though they both responded quickly, it wasn’t until day 5 of our vacation before this issue was fixed. We were told that since it was a holiday weekend no one was available. This was a 5 minute fix for the maintenance man. The backyard had 2 foot tall standing weeds/grass, chairs were broke, overturned, tiki torches laying on the ground, cleaning supplies were non-existent. We ended up purchasing a broom after we asked for one on day one and it was never delivered. The property was very roomy and the location is amazing, an easy walk to the beach with children. We would consider renting this property again, but for the price we paid, a maintenance person should be available daily. This was an unsanitary and major issue we had to deal with almost our entire stay.

My girlfriend, our 2 doxies and I rented for 4 nights, we had an issue in the newly renovated Master Bedroom and we were so upset, we posted originally, a horrible review when we came back. Our mistake, was not communicating with Cathy or Kate who own/manage the property. They immediately reached out, and after discussing the stay, I have to say they are great and genuinely concerned about having their guests have a wonderful experience. If you have a problem, please do not hesitate and contact either one of them. Very nice and professional. Cons: Master bed is very high with the box spring, not for people under 5.6 lol. Some pickets missing in the fence so our doxies tried to escape and we had to cover. More lighting is needed in the backyard. Pros: The house was very clean. Well equipped. Renovated bathrooms were awesome. The pool was very nice, if you end up with too much tree debris from a rainy day in the pool, call them and they will send someone. Fantastic location! We will certainly consider this property if we travel with our pups again.

It was a lovely house clean and pool was also very nice . The only things I would say could use doing is closet rods for clothes in the master bedroom and just to clean up the landscape a bit but over all I loved it . I would do this again

We already want to book this house for next year! The pool was great, house was cozy and the dogs loved the backyard. We did have one issue with the BRAND NEW grill and the maintenance man was out to fix within 30 minutes. Turned out we had a bad tank of gas. Really enjoyed our stay!
