This property was the perfect weekend getaway for me and friends. Being able to paddle the river, and hang out and swim at the dock was amazing. The owners were very responsive from the time we booked with any questions and the check in and out was a breeze. We all enjoyed, and will definitely be booking this property again!
Very relaxing kids had great time on the dock and in the water they enjoyed watching the manatee and the fish jumping and feeding the duck we enjoyed the screened in porch for our meals

This was a great vacation
It was positively everything we expected and more such a quaint little place what the master bedroom apart from it all and a beautiful view we definitely couldn't ask for more than what we received it was positively beautiful
This is a quaint little home. Just enough room for family. Time spent in back lanai, cooking, playing cards, dice, games and of course the ease of kayaking right from dock.
We totally enjoyed our stay. Great location on canal close to the river. Very nice new kitchen stocked with all utensils, dishes, and cookware that we needed. Big refrigerator and fastest heating oven in an electric range we've ever used. Huge master bedroom was great.
Spent most of our time on the big screened in deck overlooking the canal. Enjoyed fishing from the two docks and watching the pair of bluebirds going in and out of their bluebird house. We loved it all and will be back!

This was our second year renting this property. It can sleep 12 comfortably. The inside does not have a lot of space for gathering, but the screen porch is a nice area to gather. The kitchen was recently renovated. The boat ramps can handle 2 boats and you can swim right on the canal. The property is easily accessible to the river and gulf. Check in is easy and owners are available for any questions or concerns. We will continue to rent this property when visiting this area.
My family really enjoyed their stay at this little gem! The younger kids loved jumping off dock and swimming in the canal! We got to feed the duck, caught a blue crab, and saw a mama and baby manatee! It was quiet and beautiful! We really enjoyed our family style dinning out on the back porch. The attached room on the back porch was very nice. Like a little apartment and gave us adults some space away from the kids . We enjoyed taking the kayaks out, just wished there was a few more to have accomodated the large group that we had. So we had to end up renting some. We found some really nice people who owned some Round Boats and rented them out. If you're interested, hit them up, My Round Boat. They live right on the river and will deliver to the property. Loved the location, we were about 10-15 mins from any restaurants or stores to the left. And to the right a Dollar General was only 7 mins away. We found a nice little beach,Pine Island, that we visited for the day, so if you have really little ones in your group, its perfect for them.
Water was very low and calm. They had a nice play ground and about 4 big pavilions with 2-3 tables each under them but they do fill up fast. We liked going to the little watering hole that was 3 mins away. The River was super crowded on Saturday, so I'd go out during the weekday if can. We even saw some dolphins. I would suggest a deep cleaning of the house as it did look like a surface clean. But it wasnt awful.Overall it was a great stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Host Randy communicated very well prior to our trip and was easy to work with. Just prior to our stay, we learned that Hernando County had a contractor dredging the canals which means our access to the boat dock was not possible. Although we were past the date to get a full refund, Randy was understanding and willing to to refund our full amount. We decided to go forward with our scallopping trip and trailer the boats from the house to local boat ramps (Hernando Beach and Bayport) and Randy was willing to credit us back $30/day due to the fact we couldn't use the canal. Clearly he did not have to do this, but he understood the purpose of our trip and was willing to work with us. The place was clean and comfortable and was accurately advertised.
The property was easily accessible and had all the accomodations needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the ability to kayak every day and to just relax and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. Overall great stay! Thank you!
This was our second stay at this location. It is perfect for dropping in our kayaks and exploring Weeki Wachee. There are restaurants close, the state park is 5 minutes down road, and Roger’s Park is just a short paddle or drive. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable! The kids love jumping off the dock and making s’mores in the fire pit! We hope to return again next year!
We had a great time! Loved the dock right out the back that we could jump right in the water and swim and float. It’s a Short trip to kayak to Rogers Landing (although we didn’t actually get out and swim there). We loved eating our meals on the back porch. Great restaurants nearby. The property is in a great location for a family vacation.

By far the dirtiest vrbo I ever stayed at!
I’m not a clean freak by any means, but whomever is doing the cleaning at this place doesn’t have a clue. Pretty much every surface was dirty and there was garbage in the yard, master bedroom reaked of possibly dirty diapers(?). No seats on kayaks. Basically very unkempt every where. Really disappointed.

Not river front. VRBO lies.
VRBO shows this property as river-front UP-stream from Roger’s Park. As a serious traveler I had planned my entire trip and schedule around the location of this property, but it’s on the opposite side on a deep canal.
VRBO doesn’t care.
I complained to VRBO and told them that for river-front or beach-front they shouldn’t lie... and guess what? They sent me a response saying I should give my stay and property the bad review instead of giving VRBO the bad review !!
The place is fine for a mobile home , esp if you don’t mind being on the smelly canal. But it’s a half hour extra of paddle time that I didn’t have.
I give VRBO 1/5 stars and perhaps the home owner should complain to VRBO because they seriously just wanted me to punish the property instead of them.
PLEASE MENTION THIS FACT ON YOUR PAGE IN CAPS. Thanks.
House was really cute with enough room for my family of 7! There was a washer and dryer that I didn't expect and that was really helpful for the week we were there. Grill to cook on, everything else you'd need for daily living. It's really close to a lot of fun things including the state park which has a swim area with blue water. You can use the kayaks to paddle a short distance to swim at the end of the the spring in Rogers Park or keep going until you reach one of the many sandy spots to rest and swim. A great value for the location. Saw quite a few manatees from the dock out back.
We had a fantastic time. The house was great and nice and clean. We loved the big back porch and dock. There were a variety of different sized kayaks which was good for our group. It was a little hard for us to get kayaks in/out of the water, but once we did we loved kayaking to Weeki Wachee. We would definitely stay again.
We were a party of six adults and one child. The property is actually two separate structures connected by a screen room. It worked fine for us. The two boat docks were nice as we kept our 26 foot mako on one and a large raft on the second. We did run aground once just around the bend. It gets super low there so you have to watch the tides. The kitchen was small but sufficient. A big skillet would have been nice. There is a broken board on the ramp heading down the dock and my husband had to Jerry rig the metal railing that fell down. Otherwise, everything was great. We used the grill a lot and loved the gas bug repeller. All had an awesome time scalloping. Had scallops every night!
We had a great stay! The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Selection of spices for cooking was great! Love the master suite being separate and we could wake up an see the water right from our bed! Favorite spot of course was the screened in porch equipped with 2 fans storage cabinets and a nice big table. The kids really loved fishing off the docks. Nice quiet neighborhood. Only minor issue is no seats on the kayaks. It’s doable, espyfor kids but uncomfortable for adults if planning an all day trip. Other than that everything was perfect!
