The Perfect Old-School Florida Home

Let me first off say that the only reason I gave this home a 4 star is because of our first impression when we pulled up to the house. It looked a little rough around the edges and we weren’t sure if it was the correct house. But once we settled in and saw how much love went into the inside, we were completely happy. The house fit us comfortably and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking meals at home. I loved that beach towels were provided because, of course, we forgot to bring some. The kayaks were awesome and the kids had a great time exploring all of the canals and river ways. Overall it was a great experience in one of the remaining unspoiled towns of Florida.

Gargage

Garbage disposal wasn't working. We tried to fix it and make it work and then contacted the property manager. They said they'd send someone but no one ever came. They gave back 100 but I didn't think that was enough to have standing gross water in the sink and have to do dishes camping style.

This is absolutely untrue. You informed us about the garbage disposal the day prior to your check out. It was only after you tried to extort more money from us that you made up a lie that it was broke from day one. Honestly who is going to deal with a backed up disposal for 4 days and not message the host?? When we got there we noticed you put something hard inside the disposal and broke it. That’s the only way the metal would bend inside. We are honest people that’s why we refunded $100 for the one day of the disposal even though you broke it.

It was a good time…great location!

The canal this home sits on it situated perfectly on the weeki wachee in my opinion. Great access to both the river and the bay! The home itself was clean and comfortable on the inside though the outside of the home is a little rough looking. We did love the amenities provided such as the outdoor screened in patio, the grill, the kayaks on property and lots of board games and fun stuff to do. Our one issue was that the showers and sinks did back up a little (slow drain) but ultimately that was not a huge issue for us. Great times with great friends and this was a great accommodation for us all!
