Condo on the Bay

The condo was exactly as listed. Well stocked kitchen and best of all close to the Bay and the swimming pool! Would definitely come back again.

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. Looking at the property info at booking I was excited to stay here. The communication sent after booking is a little off putting. It comes across very aggressive with a lot of " you must do this, you can't do that, etc..". They make it sound like you'll need to supply everything at the condo except linens. This was quite stressful leading up to the trip. However, don't be dissuaded by these confirmation emails. The condo was very nice, great location, and stocked with everything we need. The only thing I have that kept me from giving this Vrbo 5 stars is that the walls are thin. You can hear people walking by, talking on the shared outdoor space, and walking on the floor above. Thankfully we have a white noise app so this made sleeping fine and most "noise" stopped at 10. I mean, that noise was just a little walking around and talking in normal voices. I know this is a building thing and nothing that can probably be corrected, but this could be a detterent if you are sensitive to outside noise. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect condo for our family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean and perfect for our family of four. The location was great and it was nice to be so close to the beach, but also have the pool to use. The price seemed a little steep for a one bedroom, but I think that might be the area.

Cozy and comfortable

Such a nice property! The building was nice and well kept. Too cold for pool use but looked nice! The jacuzzi was definitely a nice touch and the condo was definitely clean with comfy furniture. Not necessarily a complaint, but an observation: the appliances and decor were quite dated but everything worked as it should. Pans provided were definitely in rough shape. The queen bed on the left was quite comfortable. Unfortunately the one in the right was not. All things said, we had a very nice, relaxing time and the beach across the street was wonderful with amazing sunsets! Really enjoyed our weekend stay!

Just great

Excellent location for a small family or couple. Right across the street from the beach (like 100 ft away). Walking distance to Shorts and downtown. Unit was well maintained and very clean (more so than most of the VRBOs I've stayed in). Planning on staying here again. Only area for improvement is the TV, takes a PhD in theoretical physics to operate (5 remotes...) so some help there would be appreciated. But realistically, you're not there to watch TV, but rather the sunset which you can see from your unit.

Great spot next to a Lake Michigan beach

This property is great for small families looking for an “up north” vacation. A nice sandy Lake Michigan beach is right across the street, and the property has a heated outdoor pool if the weather isn’t cooperating. It’s located roughly .5 miles from downtown Elk Rapids, and less than a mile from necessities like a grocery store, gas stations and a handful of restaurants. You can get to downtown by taking mostly sidewalks and side roads, which makes walks and bike rides downtown with kids pretty easy. This particular condo was a 1br / 1bath, but it’s layout makes it feel bigger. A large jacuzzi tub is a nice bonus, and the bedroom is also large. Kitchen is fully stocked. Appliances and furniture are all a little older, but fits the “up north” vibe. Overall, really happy with this rental, and would rent again. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, mostly because of admin things. Check in is at 3pm, and the cleaning staff wasn’t done until 3:30pm. We waited at the property for over 45 minutes to get in. There is no refund policy, no matter how early you cancel, and check out is at 10am. If these policies were more customer-friendly, it’d be a 5 star rental.

Wonderful condo overlooking grand traverse bay. Short walk down beach to Elk Rapids. I travel with my daughters which means I get the fold out bed. This one was very comfy. Thanks looking forward to next Mays Petoskey stone trip.

Comfy base to explore Water paradise

Great condo; fully provisioned kitchen for cooking up meals; comfortable beds & AC; and all a few feet away from pool; a few yards from Lake Michigan; and a short paddle from the harbor & Elk lake. This was a great place to stay.

Great beach access!

Had a great time staying at this property with a choice between using the pool or crossing the street to get some beach time in. Was also a short walk to Shorts Brewery!

Big one bed condo, beautiful sunsets, close to TC and Old Mission peninsula

Nice big clean 2 bedroom condo two big queen beds with plenty of room for a family. Nice big warm heated pool, great views of sunset over Old Mission Peninsula on Grand Traverse Bay. Short's production facility and summer pull barn a nice plus. Would stay here again!
