An architectural gem dating back to 1860, Broughton Estate showcases original historic details including intricate ironwork, soaring ceilings, grand parlors, and meticulously maintained interiors that blend timeless elegance with modern comfort. Enter the home on the ground level, where you’ll find a fully stocked kitchen designed for extended stays, a cozy breakfast nook, and a large, inviting bedroom featuring a King bed.

On the second floor, impeccable crown moldings frame the bright and grand parlors, creating an ideal space for gathering and entertaining. A formal dining room with seating for six opens seamlessly to the tastefully decorated living room, offering both comfort and flow for group stays.

The house was almost perfect for our group. The house was clean, well appointed and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The only negative I can say is that the description said one room had two beds in it - and it did not. We counted on the exact number of sleeping spaces therefore one member of our party had to sleep on the sofa

We had one pregnant person who was able to stay in the carriage house and had a nice quite experience. I would advise those who are considering the home to be fully aware that 2 of the bedrooms are up 3 big flights of stairs. I suggest the company stop using real down feathers in their pillows as one person in our party had a full on allergic reaction to them. They are even in the throw pillows. Overall we liked the house

A gem of an old home

Great location. Fun to stay in an architectural gem. The parlor has this gorgeous piano that self plays if you want. Dining room only has chairs for 4. We wish there were working fireplaces- even if just gas or electric. Be ready for stairs - both main house master suites are on the 3rd floor. Plumbing is old - expect low water pressure and drain issues. One of the bathtubs in our master baths was not working. Polyesther sheets and sagging mattresses- so the beds aren't all so comfortable. Windows blow open and slam shut in the 3rd floor bath and so we moved a accent table in front to keep them closed. Parking garages are available but only for smaller vehicles. Our van did not fit so we had to get metered parking. Other than that stuff, the home itself is exquisite- we enjoyed the courtyard fountain and spacious rooms. The location was truly fantastic

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was very pretty. We did have a problem with extremely dirty floors. When walking around the house barefoot, all of our feet were black on the bottom. There was also dust on some pieces of furniture. There was some kind of white plaster flakes on the floor in one of the bedrooms and in the upstairs hallway. It was obvious, the floor had not been cleaned. I used wet paper towels to clean it up and the paper towels were filthy dirty. This was not an area that gets walked on, so I believe it has been quite sometime since the floors were mopped. For a house that sleeps 13, there were only 4 chairs around the upstairs very large dining room table.

Lack of towels and wash clothes were an issue. Called and additional towels provided. Several chairs in the kitchen were not safe to site on. For the money paid the kitchen needs to be refurbished. It is 1990 anymore. Tile kitchen counter tops NO. Beautiful building. Owners renting on the cheap with regard to the amenities. I will inform marriott to remove this house from their rental portfolio. Needed a few weeks to cool down after dropping that kind of money. The owners have a diamond in the rough You can ask the dollars and the amenities are NOT there. Mike kornasPs No access to answering the questions below? Why?

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, but the description was a little deceiving. The layout is choppy with a bedroom on the first floor and then two more up on the third in the main house. Half baths in the hallways on the first 2 floors then the other two bathrooms with showers on the 3rd floor. Making the 1st floor person have to go up 2 steep staircases to get to the shower. This should be clearer, as we had a person with a knee replacement and getting up to the top showers was not possible. I also had an issue with the office. They gave the codes to a person who arrived before us, but they never check to make sure that person was even in our party. I paid for the rental and the people who arrived early showed no proof of being part of our rental party, yet they were given all the codes to get in. Also, the entire main house has terrible mildew issues. I had to stay in the carraige house as the odor was so bad on every floor and in every room. The cottage and carraige house were also musty but nothing compared to the main house. All 8 of us that stayed on the property had to take allergy meds to stay there and two of us had to start using our inhalers because of the allergens.

Huge and unique space both in the main house along with the courtyard and carriage houses. Plenty of hang out spaces and everyone had their own bathrooms by utilizing both carriage houses. We really felt part of the historic district both by the character of the house and location. Walking distance to just about anything you would want to see. Because of the unique personality of the house be aware that the 1st floor bedroom in the main house has no bathroom (access to 1/2bath on 1st floor) and no closet. Lots of stairs but that didn’t bother our group. Lucky Savannah was awesome to work with and communication was perfect. Everything you need is easily accessible in their Hospitality App Parking was very easy with 2 spots in the garage and parking on the street alongside the house was convenient and readily available.

Driving and parking was no problem, it will fit 2 sedans/SUVs. We had great WiFi, amazing hot water pressure, squeaky clean and comfy rooms and beds. Plenty of space to spread out or hang out. The grand piano and entertainment room was my favorite. Most TVs allowed your smartphone to broadcast your movie or content. The home had everything you needed, all the historic southern charm with modern amenities. Only downside is that you won’t want to leave the house to explore the city!!
