We had a wonderful stay here in June. The house was just as it is pictured, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was ideal. It felt very quiet, but we were very close to all of the conveniences of Rockland. We could walk across the street to the spectacular Breakwater path, which we walked every day. The views of the bay were just gorgeous, including an osprey nest, which we watched from the window. The house is part of a condo community, which is impeccably maintained and landscaped. We had easy access to the dock for kayaking and swimming. The kitchen was modern and the house was outfitted with everything we needed. The internet connection was very strong and we were able to work and stream movies easily. Kate was very communicative and she was there to answer all of my questions. I would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful property surrounded by water and wildlife!
The condo was lovely, inside and out, with a tasteful decor and
constant care of the lawn and plantings. It was immaculate and incredibly well equipped with extra towels, glassware, etc.
and very generous storage.
Our only complaints were that we
would have appreciated complete instructions as to how to
work the TV and, if there was A/C help with that as well.
Also, the upstairs shower was definitely not in the same
realm of quality as the rest of the condo. If I were
going to stay awhile, I would have gone out and bought a
better one.
To our delight there was a huge osprey nest just offshore,
where we could watch the parents feeding two babies.
We also saw a seal in the water and a creature we thought
was a fox, but a neighbor came to warn us that it was a
coyote, and to be careful of our small dog!
We checked in at night after a very warm day, and the indoor
temp was 88 degrees. We could not work the wall unit
that said it was A/C, and opening all the windows and
doors got the temp down to just under 80 degrees before
going to sleep. So, instructions about this and the TV would
have been so helpful. I am afraid that, at my advanced age, 77,
when I see three remotes to work anything, I need bigtime
written instructions.
So, to sum up, a very complete set of instructions and a new
shower head would make this beautiful property absolutely
perfect, and those are very easy fixes.
This is a special place to experience. The condo is furnished nicely and I loved the kitchen and appliances. The master bedroom has a magnificent view of the Rockland Harbor and the views while walking on the grounds of the next door Samoset Resort are breathtaking.
There is an eagle nest on the waterfront and a lot of geese and waterfowl to observe. I stayed during the fall and winter, so I imagine the rest of the year to be lovely. I highly recommend this condo.
