Beautiful Charentaise house in the heart of a charming, calm and peaceful village. The house benefits from all the comforts so that you have a very pleasant stay. With a capacity of 6 tenants maximum, the house also benefits from a 40m² terrace.
The peaceful village is located on the banks of the Charente, there you will find a small convenience store where you can do your shopping, a bakery, a pharmacy, a brasserie on the banks of the Charente, as well as a very good restaurant: "l ' wisteria inn ".

Le gîte est agréable mais plusieurs bémols à signaler quand même.Tout d'abord, nous avons eu l'impression que l'on s'installait chez le propriétaire.... Frigo / congélateur remplis de sa nourriture, placards /tiroirs avec ses affaires personnelles. Il n'y a rien à dire sur l'espace cuisine /salon et salle à manger.Par contre, tout le 1er étage était en travaux, murs pas peints, cables electriques en attente, carrelages pas terminés, planche à côté de la baignoire pas fixée, un trou dans le plancher d'une des chambres.C'est dommage car le gîte est sympa.Pas très respectueux de louer dans ces conditions.Sophie

Séjour au calme

La maison offre tout le confort. Linge fourni. Il manque juste un peu de rangement pour nos vêtements quand nous sommes plusieurs (4). Nous avons passé un séjour agréable au calme , la Charente passant dans le village nous avons pu en profiter. Il y a pas loin de là une petite plage au bord du fleuve afin de profiter de l eau avec location de kayak et bateaux électriques. Nous avons également apprécié les bords de l Atlantique nature préservée. Ainsi que les restaurants alentours ...tout est fait pour que les vacances soient agréables..

We arrived to find the fuse box uncovered and bristling with wires, the fridge half full and freezer full of the owner’s food, wardrobe, bedroom, sitting room with all his personal effects still there as if he’d just gone out to the shops. The house did not smell clean. We stayed five minutes, long enough to realise that we were not comfortable staying there. We are not fussy, but this was not as advertised.
