This home was fully renovated in 2018 and has been continually updated since — the downstairs bathroom was just redone, most of the furniture throughout the house is new, the backyard is now fully enclosed, and the front porch has a new railing and privacy screen. Located half a block from the Greenbrier River, where you can swim, fish, tube, or raft just steps from the door.

The home is located in a quiet neighborhood with a hometown feel. Close to grocery stores, food and a convenience store with gas.

Nearby attractions include Bluestone Lake, Pipestem State Park, Lost World Caverns and Organ Cave. Alderson is the home of West Virginia s largest 4th of July festival!

It was perfect for our needs as we were exhibiting livestock at the Fair. A little far to travel but the place and town is lovely and the ride back and forth in daylight is beautiful. Our host was attentive and responsive. Since we were new to this whole VBRO thing we could not get the door to open. Totally our fault but the owner was available to help us out. I have 2 minor suggestions. Soap for the shower and a checklist sheet for when we check out. We would definately recommend. Oh, not sure who the cute little cat belonged to but we got more food for him BUT did not let him in the house!! He greeted us each night upon arriving. Thanks again.

Fantastic house

We were only in Alderson for 2 nights for a funeral. The house was right where we needed to be, just a few blocks from family. Close to the funeral home and the cemetery. The house was indeed newly renovated. We were a little concerned about how comfortable it would be in the heat since it only has a window unit. Not to worry there was a portable ac unit in the upstairs bedroom. I had to contact the property manager with a question and he replied back very quickly. I will definitely stay here again if it is available when I need it. We certainly did not notice any "mildew" smell as someone else said. It was all in all a lovely home and stay.

This place is crazy set-up. There are light switches on the out side of rooms. And the steps are wild in the middle of the night. Huge t.v. in the living room. If you like soft beds sleep downstairs, and if you like a firm mattress sleep upstairs. It's cozy. It's is in a great location. When we were there it was the strawberry festival. We really enjoyed the stay.

Labor Day getaway
