The house and property was perfect for our family of 4. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. The location was convenient to venture out east or west. We would definitely stay here again!!
We stayed 4 nights, exploring the local sights, mostly over by the New River Gorge. The house had everything we needed. Would have liked to use the laundry, we were traveling on to Bristol. The property is on a well and thelaundry use wasnt an option.
So glad we found this place. It is up on a hill with beautiful views from the front porch. Beds were very comfortable and everything we needed for our stay was provided. We experienced a problem with our vehicle and our host went out of her way to assist us in finding a solution. Would definitely return again
Wonderful stay in the house! Close to interstate 64. Not much to eat right around the area but 15-20 miles you can find some stuff.Awesome host and great place to stay!
Fantastic property! Cozy home that was perfect for a weekend getaway. Out of all of the homes and cabins I have rented this was the most well equipped for visitors. Chris is an amazing host and made the whole process really easy. Looking forward to coming back.
The cabin was about a half hour from Lewisburg so a late night drive from a concert in Lewisburg was challenging. Nice patios and comfortable beds. The fire pit needs more chairs and patio fire pit had no propane tank. Creamora with the coffee would have been awesome! But overall, a very nice stay with a great property manager! We would stay again.
This beautiful home in Alderson was the perfect getaway for my family to go and visit our grandparents not far away, and allow us to have a little place we could call our own for the weekend. The sprawling mountain view as you look out from the oversized front porch was something you only find in pictures. Evening bonfires to close out the day were just perfect. Our family had a very nice time, and my daughter was memorized by all of the surrounding beauty. Thank you for sharing your home.
We spent a week motorcycling in the beautiful WV hills and had a great place to spend our evenings on the porch, get rested comfortably, then start our days with the sun shining on the fall colors across the valley. Great host, great place. Very clean and comfortable. Would love to come back and explore some more!
The cabin is very clean and private. The back porch and yard are wonderful. Perfect place to enjoy some time with family and get away from the hustle and bustle. It's also right off the exit so easy to find and easy to get around. The host is very nice and helped with any questions we had. Defiantly would stay here again.
Porch swing. Hammocks. Glider. Wrap around porch with comfort everywhere. Open the screen doors and the cross breeze is so soothing. Sunset views. Porch black nights so quiet, stay skies easily viable from anywhere on the property. Any supply you need in the kitchen. Firm plush king bed. Big plus is this is a great central location in Eastern West Virginia.
This property was in a quiet and scenic location. The owner was extremely accommodating and the house had everything we needed. It was cozy and clean with all the comforts of home. The location was perfect as it was in close proximity to many beautiful spots in the New River Gorge. This was our second stay and we want to plan a third!
The place was simply gorgeous. Christy was so pleasant and we communicated often. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great weekend. I hope to come back again soon.
Check in was a breeze. House was exactly as listed and well furnished with everything you could need. We loved sitting on the porch swing watching the sunset, hanging out on the back porch during a thunderstorm and listening to the birds in the mornings. Chrissy was a great host and very responsive. I’d have to say the only drawback was the house was a little far from restaurants and some of the attractions. We knew that when booking and didn’t mind the drive in exchange for the peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway girls trip! Good location right off the highway for traveling to the State Fair in Lewisburg. Even better location if you like doing outdoor activities, which we do not lol.. But we enjoyed having drinks and relaxing in the outdoor areas with a beautiful view! This rental supplied everything you might need and more! Christy was very responsive and pleasant, we would definitely stay here again if visiting the area in the future 🙂
It was a last-minute trip for spring break just to get out of Illinois. This house and property offer a lot. House is nice and cozy. Christy was just a text away. Everything we needed she was able to walk us thru it on the phone. The property is beautiful and pretty secluded. Close to NRGNP. We hiked every day. Lots of beautiful hiking trails and scenic drives. Would definitely stay here again.
We where down to look at Monroe and Greenbrier counties. Easy access to both counties from this location easy access on and off the highway.
The home was cozy and clean. It was great having two bathroom since we had met up with friends. The entire home and its layout was very comfortable. Beautiful front and back covered porches. We spent every night hanging out on the back porch reminiscing old times. Highly recommend.
This cabin definitely lives up to its name, Homeaway! It is comfortable and cozy. Has every thing you needed. Nicely decorated. Clean. Big outdoor porches, the kind you like to sit on and drink your coffee and enjoy the countryside view and sunset. Just about every evening when we came back from sight seeing. There was a buck and several does. Our host was great. I highly recommend staying there. You won’t be disappointed.
My 91 yo father was born and raised near where this house is located and he wanted to “go back home” for a day or so. I booked this house because it was one level with just a few stairs so my father could get around easily. Chris communicated very well with me trying to get everything just right for dad. Unfortunately at the last minute dad was not feeling well and decided he didn’t want to go. However using dad as a reference the front and back steps were wide and deep with a nice handrail on them. The living room and kitchen were wide open with lots of room to move around and easy access. The back bedroom was wonderful, room to move around with a large tv in the room (Dad loves to watch tv in the evenings) and a walk in shower.
I am sorry Dad didn’t feel well this time Chris, but I guess that means we will have to come back!
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Beautiful scenery, comfortable beds, great host, what more can you ask for. The view was amazing and it was so peaceful. The cabin was clean, comfortable and felt like home. Air conditioning was nice and kept the cabin cool on hot summer days, there were no problems with the internet for the entire stay.
We had so much fun on our week long get away, went hiking at the local parks, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding all while coming home to this cabin every night.
Christy was super friendly and always quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin for the week and being such a great host!
Me and my small Ohana, we have been starting new traditions last year we went to the Keys. This year we decided to go to West Virginia. It took us some time to pick a place. When we came across this house we knew this was perfect for us. After booking our reservation. The host Chris, reached out quickly and welcomed us to her home and asked if we needed anything and assured us that the house was ready for us. We were given some simple instructions for when we arrived. The house was as awesome and perfect as its photos. The night we arrived we were greeted by deers, raccoons and rabbits, that just tells me the place had welcoming and peaceful soul. Chris was an awesome host always making sure we had everything we needed while we were their. Our stay was just what we needed. The house had everything, all we had to do was bring our food and clothes. We had an awesome Thanksgiving Dinner. We did some roaming around we went to New River Gorge Bridge, Grandview Overlook, and Turkey Spur Lookout. We will be back to do more adventuring.

The tranquility and back and front porches are amazing, especially on crisp fall evenings or during a rainstorm.
