CASA LUCERO is a penthouse condo located on the cliffs above the famous Playa de los Muertos Beach. A secure and gated beautiful 2-bedroom, sitting room (sleeper sofa), 3-bath condo in the Amapas district of Puerto Vallarta, located a mere ~8-10 minutes walk to Old Town Vallarta and about a 10 minute to the beach, great shopping and amazing night spots and dining. Casa de Lucero is part of a uniquely designed terraced condos featuring only twenty units, each in their own private setting. Its size feels like a "home" and has plenty of space to "spread out," unlike a typical vacation condo.

Inside you will find a warm atmosphere with elegant furnishings, granite and marble countertops, marble tile floors, modern kitchen and appliances and full length sliding glass doors in every room for true indoor/outdoor "Vallarta Style" living.

Other features include: private terrace with barbecue grill, master bedroom en suite, ceiling fans and laundry room equipped with washer and dryer. Building amenities include 24 hour security, infinity edge pool, exercise room, sun deck, private parking space, landscaped tropical gardens and a funicular style elevator.

Please note, there is no hot tub and the pictures will be updated soon. Also, there are two ways to get to the beach, first you cross the highway 200, walk down the few steps to get to the Santa Barbara street, walk to the beach access by using the stairs OR walk into old town you don't need to walk down any stairs this access to the same beach. The walk is approximately a 10 minute walk.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Jorge, the property manager, greeted us warmly and had everything ready—including a stocked fridge, which was a lifesaver after a long travel day. The directions were spot-on, making arrival stress-free.The property itself is truly unique—clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. Access to the unit is easy via elevator or stairs, and stepping inside, we were immediately captivated by the stunning view of Banderas Bay. While the city view is partially obstructed by a nearby condo, the sweeping bay views to the south were absolutely perfect. The unit was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, complete with laundry facilities for convenience.The beds were very comfortable, and while the pillows weren’t our favorite, they worked just fine. Easy to get into town-crossing the busy road is the only challenge, but once you do, a short walk brings you to the charming Amapas area. We often opted for a taxi or Uber back up after exploring.The heated pool was delightful, and the lush grounds added to the serene atmosphere. The location strikes a perfect balance—just a short 10–15 minute walk to town, yet far enough to feel peaceful and private. We loved relaxing on the open terrace and soaking in the sunsets. While we didn’t make it to Conchas Chinas beach this time, it’s within walking distance.Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and breathtaking views.

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a couple days for a friend’s birthday celebration- they had rented villas on the beach and we wanted to be close by. This condo afforded an excellent location to walk to the beach and town- or an easy taxi/Uber ride away. The unit is in a lovely smaller gated and secure complex on a hill. We enjoyed using the funicular to get up and down to street level! The condo was clean and very well appointed with wonderful outdoor space and spectacular views. Jorge met us upon arrival and was terrific in telling us all about the condo and the area. Check out was equally as easy. A wonderful stay- Thank you!

Great hilltop unit.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent. We were able to Uber to the downtown romantic district for $3.00 each way with no problems. The outdoor patio was amazing with both the sunrises and sunsets providing a daily show.

Spectacular!

I have been coming to Mexico for the past decade and this particular condo did not disappoint! I usually stay closer to downtown, but this unit was not that much further than where I usually stay. Like all the other reviews state this place is spectacular. All the views and space you could ever need. I love to cook and the kitchen was a dream. I highly suggest utilizing the property management team to do your grocery shopping before you arrive. Is is very reasonably priced. I usually have to run to Walmart when I arrive and this saved me the trip. I WILL BE BACK!

PV bliss

Let me start out by saying my husband and generally like to stay at JW Marriott properties when ever we travel. This time we chose to stay at an VRBO property because we were taking my mom for her 70th birthday and wanted everyone in one unit. We were not disappointed. I am so glad we chose this property, it was so clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was equipped for cooking and easy to navigate. Both bedrooms had their own bathroom which is a blessing with two teenage daughters. There is another bathroom in the main living area. We enjoyed coffee in the morning with the most incredible view with privacy in our pajamas. Our master bedroom glass doors opened and we enjoyed the breeze in the evening. We spent a few days at the pool and had it all to our selves. You can take a small cooler if you want yo have drinks. There are bathrooms and a shower there as well. We did hike down to the beach, not to bad if your in good shape. You can also uber into town, its about $2.80 to go to the Malecon and if you come back in the evening it's about .40 cents more. We were surprised how cheap uber was. We even used uber eats twice with no problem. All in all we will return. We loved our stay, they have a concierge if you need assistance. One week is not enough, you should definitely try and stay longer. Next time we are going for two weeks.

Penthouse in Paradise

This place is amazing. It’s a smaller complex with lots of privacy and fantastic views of the bay. There where four people in our party, but the condo could easily accommodate more. It has a wonderful kitchen for those who like to cook and the living room and sitting areas are a great place to relax. Communication with the hosts went great and checking in/out a breeze. The property staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Spectacular!

Absolutely loved our stay at Casa de Lucero, the only regret is not staying longer! Spacious and well organized, the private balcony/terraza is to die for! Outdoors private hot tub, spectacular view of the ocean, and the breezes of the hillside! Super relaxing stay! Very nice, quiet and safe neighborhood with easy access to PV life. The owners Richard and MaryAnn and their management company are extremely helpful & responsive. As their guests, we felt like Royals! We use VRBO a lot but this one made our list of favorites in Puerto Vallarta, a definite return and strongly recommend! Gracias Casa de Lucero!

Enjoy the wonderful bay views from our hillside location, the neighborhood is quiet and only a short walk to shopping, restaurants and old town. The location puts you right in the middle of the many activities in Puerto Vallarta. The size of this condo feels more like a house than a typical vacation condo.
