The property was just like the pictures. Quaint and quiet. Just outside of Boone so it was close enough to visit the downtown shops. Would definitely stay again.

We are so grateful for your business and the feedback. Its our sincerest hope to welcome you again to our home in the very near future.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was perfect for our family of four - the boys enjoyed having the loft to themselves as well as foosball. It was a decent location for skiing and I'm sure it'd be great off season for other outdoor activities. We'd sefinitely stay again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share regarding your stay. Your trust and your business are incredibly important to us. Its our sincerest hope that a revisit will happen, sooner rather than later.
The home itself was perfect and spacious. Having stayed at a few places in the area over the year, what we appreciated most was the location. It was is literally 15 min from Banner Elk, Valle Crucius, and Boone. They should mention this specifically on the site, because it was perfect to check out the local area. Great house and see you all again soon, that's for sure!

We LOVED this property! It was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, clean! The only complaint I would have is the "property fee". I don't mind paying a certain price per night but I don't like the concept of the property fee and it's the same whether you stay one night or ten. However; it will not stop us from renting it again. It was just perfect!

Family reunion is every August, I start looking after holidays.
The house was the right size, most of the places we rent have very little storage. This home was not very clean, floors in kitchen and bathrooms were sticky like something was spilled. There was not a vacuum, mop, and the broom available for use need’s replacing.
The next morning after we arrived there was a squirrel was in house, it ate thru the screen in kitchen.I told office.
To begin with, I never got the instruction to get in, and I have to call once I get the place. Then, as soon as I opened the door, there was a very bad smell like old/wet...Later that I was on the couch, I started to feel itching, and the couch also had a very bad smell. I stayed only one night even though I had reserved for 3 nights. I barely slept as my body was itching and was not sure if the blankets were clean. Thus, I left the next day, and when I was about to leave, I sent an email to the representative just to share my experience....They said they would reimburse the nights I did not stay, and I mentioned that I was not expecting to get 100% refund, but I needed a higher refund as there were another fees associated that I had to pay, but they response was that it was because I informed them after I leave.....I could have asked 100% refund since the very beginning, but I did not, and on top of that I did not know that I should ask them for permission before leaving. Finally, I have to go and see my doctor as my body is still itching...I'm still waiting on them, but if I do not get at least what I request, I will need to reach out to the news and report this situation....I hope nobody experiences this because it is so frustrating

Yessica We do regret that you may have experienced anything that would have detracted from your stay. However you chose to stay 1 night then leave and then after your departure date you contact us and claim these issues and you requested a full refund. I am sorry but thats really not fair nor realistic to expect any compensation when you arbitrarily leave and then expect compensation with out alerting us as to what the issues were and a chance to either rectify or even move you. With that being said in an attempt to work with you I refunded you the unused nights rental rate. Yet that was not enough for you. You then threatened to leave negative reviews and attack us on all levels of social media if you did not receive what you wanted. I asked you for any documentation, we have received none as of yet. A thorough inspection of the home was also done upon reading your first email after you left and nothing was found to substantiate your claims. Yessica we were very fair with you considering that you never notified us of any discrepancies until days after you left. Our position is firm and we feel that we have gone above and beyond considering all the circumstances and will not be refunding anything going further.
This was a great cabin in a very quite neighborhood..

Not the cleanest
This home is in a great location and the check in process was easy. However the bathrooms were not cleaned from the prior guests (soap scum in the tubs, floor dirty). The refrigerator had food spills and the stove needed to be cleaned.
Perfect cabin for a weekend in the mountains. The location of the cabin was situated between Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. The residence was very quiet and peaceful. The house was spacious and open.

We stayed a week of family holidays. We really enjoyed this snow experience. It was a wonderful day on the mountain. As for the cabin, it is well located, has great accommodation and is comfortable. What bothered me was the dust. The company responsible for cleaning is not doing a good job. leaving something to be desired in the dust. This needs to be cleaned mainly in the fans of the rooms, in the furniture of the room where the TVs are and in the windows. As my son is allergic, dust cleaning is very important to me

Cozy Cabin
Very cozy! Great location! Awesome views! Could have been a little cleaner as far as dust and vacuum. A new iron would be great. Kitchen had everything I needed but a vegetable peeler. Beds were comfy and we really enjoyed the fireplace. We would definitely recommend Sugar Shack!

Nice cabin and great location with 3 ski resorts and 4 sites to go snow tubing with the kids. The reason for the 3 stars is the cabin needs to dusted, drier lint trap was full, and the front of the cabin entrance accumulates water and freezes to a big sheet of ice (one of my kids fell and got hurt). There was nothing in the cabin to breakup the ice.

Sugar Shack
The Sugar Shack was perfect for our stay with friends! Plenty of room to hang out and the location was perfect! We were disappointed when we got there to find signs in the front yard that only 2 cars were allowed (We had 3) and towing was enforced.

Will come back to stay again any time
Had 2 days off from school and combined that with the weekend to spend time in the mountains. It rained 2 days and the foliage had not reached peak, but we still had a great weekend. This cabin was very clean, well furnished, and relaxing. Would gladly stay there again!
The only thing that can be improved is better lighting. I had a hard time reading a book because the light bulbs were low wattage. There was only one frying pan usable. The others were scratched. It was a pleasant stay and a great location for hiking and sightseeing.
Great place to stay
Love the cabin
Small but very cozy
Close to the highway but very peaceful place.
Will come back again if I’m coming back to the area.
Easy to find and good parking spot.
Vary safe location.

Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the cabin. Nice and cozy, and held true to the online description. There were only a few items that I would address. One, unless we overlooked supplies or written instruction, there was only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. With a 6 person rental, I would expect at least an additional roll per bathroom. Secondly, though no visual, we heard critters scurrying around within the walls while laying quietly in the master bedroom. Lastly, there may need to be a warning or a type of method to secure the garbage cans on the back deck. We had an early Sunday morning surprise when we found the garbage cans turned over and drug to the bottom of the steps with trash all over the yard. Apparently raccoons made their evening dinner date on the back porch.

Nice location!
Great little cabin nestled in a wooded area not too far off the main road but far enough for some nice quiet, relaxing memories to be made. We really enjoyed the front porch swing. Had a great time hiking some nearby trails that were not too strenuous for us grandparents. Elk River Falls was our favorite. We hope to come back again!
