Cozy Cabin Stay

Wonderful cabin. Appreciate the thoughtful touches - esp. the wine and household good - which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Pleasant surprise compared to other cabins that are often bare. It felt like a home away from home. Owner had great communication.

Mountain creek cabin

We had a great stay in this cabin. It was a cozy, clean and authentic mountain cabin with all the latest technology and gadgets. We felt right at home there. We enjoyed the large deck and the peaceful sounds of the creek that ran below the cabin. The owner was easy to reach by text and was very welcoming and pleasant. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this for couples or families.

Memorial Day weekend getaway

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend at this cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful with a rustic/modern look and beautiful views looking out. It also has a well stocked kitchen with modern appliances. The view from both decks is outstanding and pictures do not do it justice! The town of Ellijay is close by and worth checking out but our favorite time was sharing a bottle of wine on the deck while cooking dinner on the Big Green Egg. The owner Darryl is great to deal with and it is evident he wants his renters to have a 5 star experience!!

Wonderful cabin in the mountains

We had a wonderful stay at the Edwards cabin. It was everything we were looking for our vacation in Talking Rock. It is conveniently located between both Elijay and Jasper so both towns were very easy to explore, as is the very cute town of Talking Rock. It had all the amenities you needed in the kitchen to prepare great meals - even a crock pot and Green Egg are available. The fireplace is amazing and firewood was provided which is a fantastic perk. Darryl couldn't have been a more accommodating host. He made sure we were happy and had everything we needed for a great stay. We will definitely be back.

Daryl, the host, it's a sweetheart, willing to help you in any way he can. The location, the views, everything is Fabolous. Nice rustic cabin

We loved the fireplace and used it each day. The wood was stacked in a large wood pile next to the shed above the house, so easy access. The creek runs well below the house but it is not accessible from the house and you can’t see it. We walked around the neighborhood and found access through the woods so we did get to the creek. It is a very long hike to the creek though. My husband wanted to sit by the creek to relax but couldn’t so the description is a little misleading. We had plenty of towels and paper products to use during our stay

Response from VrboOwner on 27 Oct 2024
I’m glad you enjoyed your visit, I’m sorry the creek was not “immediately accessible”, but hopefully the elevated views from the back deck and soothing sounds of the amazing creek below made up for it., thank you for visiting.

Why they chose this property

In my corporate career, I had always been required to live in a large metro area close to my office and an airport for work travel. Once I retired from the corporate life, I wanted to find a cabin in the mountains I could remodel with breathtaking views, a little bit of acreage (5 acres), and windows to let in all the light and beauty of the N. Georgia mountains...I've succeeded!

What makes this property unique

Large living area with 65 inch curved screen LCD TV and cable.
Large wood burning fire place with all the wood you can burn provided.
Large windows and french doors for stunning views of the mountains.
2 level patio deck (400 square ft) with BBQ grill (Green Egg), LED lights and view and sounds of the creek!
Newly remodeled kitchen with all the pots, pans, plates, and utensils for cooking
Private walk out deck with floor to ceiling french doors off of the master suite (upstairs)
Dining table for accommodate 6 people
Loft area with skylight and books for reading or just chilling
Dog friendly in the event you chose to bring your 4 legged family member!
