About this property

Secluded Mountain Chalet in Angel Fire Country Club

Escape to this cozy mountain refuge nestled in gorgeous aspen and pine trees within the Angel Fire Country Club. Enjoy the Angel Fire ski slopes just minutes away or take a 30 minute drive to Taos or Red River. Golfing, hiking, mountain biking (Hike or bike on the Coyote Trail that crosses our property! Follow signs in front yard), snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, whitewater rafting, trout fishing, horseback riding, UTV in the Carson National Forrest (1/2 mile away, no trailering required) and zip lining in the Enchanted Circle! You’ll find comfortable seating & a double swing on the large covered front deck to observe the deer that come visit all day (bring deer corn), rabbits, elk, bear, bob cats, birds (especially hummingbirds), chipmunks & an occasional mountain lion. Grill hamburgers, hotdogs, steak or make s’mores on the Fire Pit! On the large, covered back deck, you’ll find a large table, chairs & a propane grill for those bad weather days. This cabin offers central heat, wood burning stove, tankless hot water heater (endless HOT water), front loading washer and dryer (bring detergent), WIFI, Smart TVs and DVD players in every room & a fully stocked kitchen! There’s plenty of seating around the bar & dining table for the whole family. I have provided a portable crib, high chair, infant tub, tub toys & children’s books for infant & toddlers. Big Bear Camp Ground is located in the upstairs loft. Underage campers will find puzzles, games, toys, activity books, children’s books, movies & a game console for endless hours of entertainment. Outside in the summer, they can play horse shoes or play on the playground located at the front entrance of the Country Club. In the winter, there’s several snow sleds at the house. I invite you to make yourselves at home, relax, enjoy & most of all, have FUN in this paradise!

Friends trip
We rented this cabin to celebrate our two friends getting married in January. There were 10 of us all together and it was a perfect fit. It had everything we needed and then some. Definitely would book again!

Family Celebration of Life
We came up to Angel Fire to see how much it has changed since we grew up there. Then we had a celebration of life for my Dad and spread his ashes in his favorite spot. Lots of laughter and love during our trip. Wish we all could have stayed longer. Had a great time enjoying the cabin and sitting out on the porch chatting and waiting for dusk for the dear to come around.

Very beautiful property. Loved the wildlife. Made memories with the family on our first time in NM!~The following concerns were just an irritant and annoying but we still loved our stay. Some concerns: Horrible lighting. Would recommend you put a sign for the light in the laundry room. The entire cabin needs more lights. It's very dim even with all lights on! Cupboards and drawers very disorganized. Appears no one has attempted to organize for years. Pans all need to be replaced with mindfulness as to what a normal family with kids would need, i.e. maybe a griddle? Front Screen bent. Remotes not working. Only two dishtowels. One bathroom drain was clogged and we fixed. Can opener is broken. Couldn't get the front door to lock with the code. Had to always use the rear door. Back King fish bedroom doorlock is broken. Absolutely no instruction on TV use and access. One bedroom remote was broken. Didn't instruct that upstairs TV only could pay Movies etc. Two of the remotes we had to go and get batteries cause they were dead.

Just perfect for us!
Loved that it felt secluded in the mountains but close enough to town. Beds were comfortable! Clean place. Perfect family getaway.

One day when we get old
And it’s time to retire,
To live in New Mexico
Is what we desire

Our own little cabin in the mountains
What a blessing and a treat
Nothing big or extravagant
Just simple and sweet

Skiing, sledding and snowboarding
Are fun during the winter
Enjoy a snowmobile ride too
The Brewery is always open for dinner

Everything is brand new in the Spring
There’s newborn babies everywhere
Playing, leaping, sleeping
And grazing without a care.

Hiking, biking and zip lining
To enjoy the summer sun
Fishing, four wheeling and white water rafting
Is amazing and fun!

For even more adventuring
Horseback riding is there
Take in all the scenery
See elk, chipmunks, maybe a bear

Just hang out at the cabin
All throughout the year
Relaxing on the porch
And gazing at the deer

The fall is so spectacular
It’s something everyone should see
Look at the trees changing colors
In the mountains is where you’ve got to be

Football and cookouts
Yummy s’mores are my fav
Take an afternoon nap
On a rainy & cloudy day

Memories are waiting to be made
With the ones we love the best
Children, grandchildren, family
And all of our special guests

None of this would be possible
Without our Lord and Savior above
To Him, we’re always thankful
For blessing us with each other & all we dreamed of

So here we come Angel Fire
We’re looking forward to making new friends
The Land of Enchantment is calling,
Where the fun never ends.
