Waterfront Cottage on Private Lake with Dock

Nestled between oaks and pines along the East-facing shoreline of Big Sandy Pond, our welcoming little cottage beckons the vacation experience, a perfect spot to relax during the summer. Spend your days kayaking, sailing, fishing, or water skiing from your own private dock on the lake. Swim in the crystal clear lake at the beautiful white sand neighborhood beach a mere two-minute walk away.

The 134-acre lake is managed as a catchable trout pond and is annually stocked in the spring and fall with Brook, Brown, and Rainbow trout. Just 15 minutes from Cape Cod and historic Plymouth and only 45 minutes from Boston and Providence, a myriad of activities await you and your family.

Whether you enjoy water sports, or like to golf, shop, eat, or visit the many nearby historic sites and museums, everyone will find something special at Big Sandy Cottage.

Fully furnished cottage with two bedrooms, sleeping loft, and one bath. Sleeps four in the bedrooms, up to two small kids in the loft, and two additional adults on the living room sofa bed.

Large 10' x 30' deck overlooking the lake is perfect for an afternoon barbecue. Large private dock extends 28' into the lake with a 8' x 16' swim platform

Free Wireless Internet, TV, DVD (with movie library), stereo, provisioned kitchen, and all linens are included.

There is even a basement storage room with laundry facilities. Off street parking with room for boat trailer is available.

The split unit was a little tricky to operate, but google it and you can easily figure it out..cabin is on a very narrow dirt road, but rd is not busy. We saw some beautiful sunrises at the cabin. We didn't use all the amenities for the lake, but they have alot there!! We enjoyed our stay and hated to leave.

My family was looking for a new vacation cottage to go to every summer. THIS was definitely it! It is close to several beaches and activities for either date nights or family fun. It was also nice to just relax by the lake. We really loved our stay there. My son's favorite part was the hammock on the back deck overlooking the beautiful lake. The cottage had literally everything we needed; toaster, coffee/Keurig, cookware and utensils. You can really tell a lot of thought was put into decorating the cottage and making sure guests stays are comfortable. We will definitely be back next year.

This place exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful! I didn’t think we were ever going to be able to get our teenage son to leave the dock. The whole family loved it! It was clean, had a beautiful view, the kitchen was stocked with any kind of dish you could need, and the neighborhood felt extremely safe. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

Beautiful and relaxing view. Easy inviting access to the dock. Easy check in. We had no extra need to communicate with the host once we arrived. Mini -split A/C in each room worked well. W-fi was easy to access. Remote for the television worked well. The guitar in the dining area was especially welcome for work on an original song. We didn’t use some other amenities like binoculars or kayak, But we made a short visit to the beach and collected acorns. Cards and games were available. We would enjoy a return visit anytime.

Wonderful relaxing getaway

Wonderful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Sunrises and sunsets are truly amazing. Home is clean and well stocked with anything you would need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Family getaway

Absolutely gorgeous cottage by the lake. It was perfect for our family of 6 that doesn’t want to rent 2 hotel rooms with a view of nothing special. Definitely felt like a family cottage rather than just a rental property.

Beautiful view

Although I stayed in February watching the surmise over the water was still beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed and beds were cozy. If I’m ever back in Cape Cod, I’d stay again!

Peaceful & Relaxing!

Great Spot! This is our 7th year! Clear water, lots of fish to catch. The kayaks and paddle board are so much fun for everyone! Great neighbors too!
