The house was perfect! It looks just like the pictures. The view, beach access and outdoor seating was everything I had hoped. Drinking morning coffee with that view was the best part. The kitchen pots and pans had some wear and tear on the non-stick surfaces, but otherwise the kitchen was well-equipped. I would have loved a tea kettle. The management was so responsive to any needs during my stay. The place was adorable. It really was such a great place to stay and I loved it. I would gladly go back anytime.

Lovely little cottage by the water

The house was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. There was just enough room for my family of three to spread out. The weather was mostly misty/foggy during out stay, but we got one evening with a beautiful sunset!

Our recent stay at SeaScent was an overall great experience. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and gorgeous scenery. The property was clean and well-maintained, which made our stay feel warm and welcoming. The only area that could use improvement would be an upgrade to the beds and furniture for a better night's sleep and more comfortable family downtime. Despite these minor inconveniences, the rental still served as a lovely home base for our vacation.

Five Fall Days of Island Exploration

We had a wonderful time! We loved being so close to everything. We biked/drove to Giants' Steps everyday -- I couldn't get enough of the flowers and crashing waves. The cottage was very comfortable and an excellent 'home' to return to after exploring. We *loved* sitting in the chairs and watching the schooner and lobster boats go by and the beautiful sunsets. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed watching the fishing boats go in and out of the harbor from the front yard. Watching the lobster boats pick up their daily catch was so much fun. Great trails around the Island and a nice walk to the local gift shop. The local people were super friendly and made us feel at home. We are looking forward to our next stay. I didn’t like the expectation to take the trash cans to the street that were full when we got there. No shampoo, etc. 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 women for 3 days, really? Not another one in the house anywhere. Didn’t like having to strip the beds and start the wash with all the fees that were tackled on. Such a lovely place but there’s things and terrible flies detracted.

Sweet Cottage for a relaxing trip to Maine

Had the most peaceful and relaxing vacation here! The sunsets are beautiful. Watching lobster boats going in and out of the cove was a treat. The cottage is well stocked and very nice. We enjoyed having breakfast at BIGS (Bailey Island General Store). The pancakes are amazing and HUGE!! You can walk to the end of the island and visit the Lands End gift shop. At low tide you can explore in the little cove at the cottage. We loved the path down to the water. We had wonderful meals at Erica’s and Sundrenched. Great places to hike, wonderful history in the area, not far if you want to visit Portland. Again, this was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve enjoyed. Thank you!

We enjoyed our week at Sea Scent. We enjoyed beach combing, especially after the storm! Lots of sea glass and interesting shells to find. We swam off of the dock which was really great on warm days. The house is quiet and just the right size for our family. We can't wait to come back!

Anniversary celebration

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and had an amazing time enjoying the coast of Maine! Bailey Island is so quaint and quiet - just perfect! Visiting lighthouses were fun day trips, searching for sea glass was a daily challenge, and the lobster was always delicious! We absolutely loved our week at Sea Scent. Thanks so much!
