We chose Kamaole Sands due to it's fantastic location directly across the street from Kamaole Beach Park 3. Kamaole 3 is a beautiful white sand beach which is popular for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding.

Vaulted ceilings throughout, stainless steel appliances, air conditioning, quartz countertops, and a 65" TV are some of the amenities you will enjoy during your stay.

The unit is on the fourth floor with beautiful vaulted ceilings and is directly across the street from Kamaole Beach 3. We love having meals on the covered lanai. Some of the features of the condo include:

Great Option for Budget Travelers

We are glad to have chosen this Maui property. It is close to the beach and Maui favorite stops like shops and coffee. Inside was great for family space. Please move the 70 resort fee requirement to the paragraph description or negotiate that charge with the facility - we happened to never use the resort amenities because we were touring elsewhere. Thanks again!

Maui Family vacation

The property was as described and the pictures were accurate. We had beds for everyone in our family and the space was comfortable for all 7 of us. We didn’t feel cramped and enjoyed our time together. The property is close to Kamaole beach and park. Thans so much!

Very nice stay

My first stay with VRBO and it was a very positive experience. Check in process was a but complicated as the property was located at a different entrance from the check in office but we figured it out. Its in a very safe and secured neighborhood. The description is true, the beach and park is across the street. It was very clean, beds were comfy, and we appreciated all the extra towels.

One Night Stay

Our flight to Dallas was cancelled due to ice & snowstorms. Our previous condo reservation had expired and we needed a quick place to stay. This place had 1 night available and we jumped on it. The price was great and this condo met our needs perfectly. It looks just like the pictures represent it. Very well appointed with furnishings, decor and kitchen goods. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The property location was fantastic, really close to the beach and amenities. However, the check in process was very confusing (you get a code for the room, but also have to check in at the main desk). Additionally, the kitchen had some damage to the floor, ice maker didn't work properly, and the drawers to the kitchen were very difficult to use. I wish we also had a gate or something to block off the stairs because that's hard with children. I will say Josh was very communicative and answered our questions promptly. He attempted to fix the ice machine, as well which showed he really did care. Overall, a very clean property but there were definitely some hiccups.

Fantastic Property

Awesome property exactly as depicted in pictures. Great location walk to beaches and places to eat. Close enough to Wailea that most tours will pick up. Teenage son loved the lofted space whilst girls were. Downstairs. Only reason I did not give five stars was there was the nastiest smell that permeated the apartment when you opened washer but I am sure that is easily fixable by managers. We would absolutely come right back to this apartment on our next visit . Will be hard to beat this quality.

BEWARE: Misleading listing and sneaky fee structure

Please beware. This is listed as sleeping 8 (or was as of 1/9/2022) and being two bedroom. Truthfully, this is only one very small bedroom and a loft; not 2 bedrooms. Also, it is a stretch to say you can fit 8. You can fit 2 in the King in the loft and 1 or 2 small children in each of the 2 beds provided. If you want to use the dirty pull-out couch (and bedding is not included with that) you could maybe fit 1 or 2 more kids. Needless to say, we had 8 and were absolutely miserable. We had to go out and buy a queen air mattress (which we left there) in order to fit 8. Even then, the place does not have enough bedding to accommodate 8 so some went without blankets and pillows. To add insult to injury, we were charged a significant nightly "extra guest fee" which was not clear in the booking info for "extra people". We had 8, this sleeps 8; there was no mention of extra fees after 6 people. When we asked the owner for a refund, they told us too bad. It makes no sense that you say you sleep 8, advertise as sleeping 8 and then charge money if you have 8. There is NO way we would have booked this knowing the true sleeping arrangements. We were rarely there and we were still miserable. To make matters even worse, the floor had sand on it, there was popcorn under the couch and there were bugs on the counter when we arrived. This owner's business practices are suspect so please, if you choose to stay here, do your research.

Danyel lets be honest, you got upset that we charge an extra guest fee for more than 6 guests. We disclosed the charge in August before you booked. We disclosed it again in October when you paid your balance. You never mentioned it as an issue until two weeks after your stay in January when you demanded we refund it to you or you were going to leave a bad review. You also complained about the sleeping arrangements after the fact. They are exactly as described in the listing and pictures with a California king upstairs, two full beds in the downstairs bedroom and an extra large full sleeper sofa in the living room. Out of hundreds of guests we've never had a complaint about the setup because it's exactly as described. If you wanted an air mattress or extra linens all you had to do was ask. I never received a single message from you during your stay. I live 5 minutes from the property and I'm always happy to provide anything needed to make your stay comfortable. I'm not ok issuing a refund when you threaten me two weeks after the stay is completed in regards to things that were clearly disclosed multiple times and that you had to review and sign a contract on.

Great location

Great location across from the beach but there is an additional $70 resort fee. We only stayed one night so we weren’t able to take full advantage of the pool and other amenities. There are boogie boards, chairs and an ice chest for a wonderful day at the beach.

Kamaole Sands is a great place to stay. The unit itself was well kept, clean and neat. We had time to use the hot tub, which was nice and not too far from the unit. We can see ourselves staying at the Kamaole Sands again.

Wonderful stay

We loved our 8 nights at this property in Kihei! Check-in was easy, parking was convenient, the condo was in a quiet spot and such an easy walk to the beach! We loved the beach and the sunsets across the street. The condo is clean (always my biggest worry!), comfortable, and well stocked with beach gear. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Perfect Anniversary Trip….

Location is perfect-directly across from the beach. Rental was very clean. Check in was easy. Unit had beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. Great utensils. We had a slight problem with the cable (I was signed onto the wrong server) Josh sent a handyman out right away! My only downer was the couch is a bit small-I am 6’ tall. But I only noticed because it rained one day and I wanted to lay out and watch Netflix.

Great location!

This property is ideally located with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and many outings. The home has beach chairs and boogie boards available which we enjoyed having for our beach outings, as well as an easy parking spot in front of the unit. The interior is remodeled and gorgeous. We loved the big island in the kitchen. We had a great stay. Josh was very responsive to everything we needed.

This spacious updated modern condo was a great find. Neat. Clean. Functional. And a very comfortable bed upstairs. It’s close enough to walk to the beach but far enough from the road that you don’t hear the mopeds and busses all day and night. Hope to be back soon. Mahalo.

Beyond Pleased

Awesome views in a gorgeous condo. This place is spacious and well decorated. Very modern and sleek, beyond what we expected! The views of the mountain and water were also a plus! We rented this place until we could check into our hotel for the week while on a family vacation. There were 6 of us and we all slept comfortably! In fact, my kids (teenagers) liked these accommodations much more than our resort. We would definitely stay here again and refer to others.

Beautiful condo, great location!

We enjoyed staying here and wish we could've stayed longer. The condo is beautiful, and very clean. The beds are comfortable, even the pull out sleeper sofa. The ac was cold and the ceiling fans provided an extra cool breeze throughout the condo. We would definitely stay here again!
