Rubicon Bay Lakefront - 4BR with Pier, Cozy Fireplace, Minutes from Skiing

Situated in a quiet, affluent area, Rubicon Bay Lakefront exudes Lake Tahoe serenity at its finest. Tucked away on a spacious lot, guests will enjoy a protected lagoon-like swimming area with a sandy beach and HOA pier.

Enter directly into the main living area of this exceptional 4-bedroom Lake Tahoe vacation rental, where floor-to-ceiling windows offer big lake views, and allow sunlight to fill the room. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a Wolf range and a separate island bar is the perfect place for happy hour. In the great room, a wood fireplace adds to the traditional feel of the home. Two guest bedrooms, sharing a Jack and Jill bath, are conveniently located on the main floor for those who may need to limit repeated use of stairs.

On the second floor, the Master suite offers stunning lake views and features a King bed, wood fireplace, walk-in closet, and a small television. The ensuite bath is designed for pure relaxation, with both a shower and jetted tub, a traditional double vanity, and a make-up vanity. The fourth bedroom, also on this floor, is another King guest room.
At the top of the stairs, the landing opens into a play space, with an air hockey table and sofa sleeper. Off of the landing, an enclosed room with a queen bed can be used as a fifth bedroom.

Just two doors down from this gorgeous lakefront retreat is a sidewalk that leads to an HOA pier, which offers easy access for guests to load/unload their boat!

ABOUT THE AREA
Rubicon Bay is located on the majestic West Shore of Lake Tahoe in an area known as the “Gold Coast.” Positioned just south of Meeks Bay and Sugar Pine Point State Park, this area is known for its seclusion. The sun-drenched sandy beaches and awe-inspiring views of Lake Tahoe have kept visitors coming back for generations.

Choose the difficult but rewarding Rubicon Peak Trailhead at the back of this neighborhood, or take a short drive to Meeks Bay Marina or D.L. Bliss State Park for alternate hiking, biking and snowshoe options. Homewood Mountain Resort is only 8 miles North, proving you can have seclusion and convenience.

This home is not in South Lake Tahoe. On a summer day, it may take a 30 minute drive, but renters should note that in winter months, the highway between this home and South Lake Tahoe often closes.

Lakeshore Getaway
We had a great time and would look forward to staying again. The location is ideal and as depicted in the listing—beautiful lakeshore venue. The home in terms of set up is also great, with a large open floor plan for the kitchen, dinning and living area. The managers were very easy to reach and very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The only drawback is that in terms of items in the home, the home is run on an absolute shoestring. For example, it is a lakefront home with a beach, but no beach towels are provided. When we called the managers they confirmed that they made a decision to leave the house empty of beach towels. There is only one small towel in each bathroom. The bedside tables have no bedside lamps—in any of the bedrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen, without any pepper, salt or basic supplies. We ‘fixed’ all of this and the many other unexpected supply shortages with a trip to the store, but it was a surprise. A wonderful house and location, professionally managed, but be prepared to buy or bring anything and everything that you may need while staying there.

Review
The house was in a great location. House was dirty, windows dirty filled with cob webs, outdoor bbq was dirty we couldn't get it to work, cobwebs hanging from indoor fireplace. Downstairs bedroom carpet was really dirty. We were surprised that the house and windows were so dirty since the view was the top reason we picked this house. Also it would of been nice to not have to rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Great if they provided at least 1 kayak or paddle board. The neighbors to the left looking out were very protective of the pier. House is was great but could use some updating in decorations . I took pictures of windows, cobwebs bbq and carpet please let me know if you would like to see how bad the mentioned items were . Washing machine off balance bad

Great property, great location
We just spent a magical week here. Great location, private beach, inspiring views, excellent property management. House is large and glorious, extremely clean, with a luxuriously thick carpet upstairs. It does need new mattresses in the master bedroom (thin and slides around) and the French door bedroom (pops in the air if you roll over), more towels, quality pillows, summer weight cotton blankets, portable fans, and bedside reading lamps. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a large pantry where you can store plenty of food for the week. There are no condiments whatsoever so bring everything from salt and pepper to cooking oil plus paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning sponges, beach towels, extra towels and portable fans—upstairs gets very hot. Also your own broom and dustpan, cleaning products, and vacuum if you want to keep the house clean during the week. There is a very long staircase to get to the boat dock. Thankfully it is new and has railings on both sides and has stairs and railings from the deck to the small private beach. Beautifully done. The home owner and the neighbors next door “share” a boat dock. There are detailed instructions to not leave anything on it at any time however the neighbors completely blocked it many days with their towels and chairs and they told us that we couldn’t use it. They had a sign saying to stay off their little beach area but let their unleashed dogs run on “our” property, jump on our four year old, and poop on “our” lawns. Regarding the boat dock, it’s convenient that you can use it (for a few minutes as long as you do not use the boat lift), however you cannot dock your boat there during the day or night although there were no other boats. You must swim or paddle out quite a distance to your boat to attach or detach it from a buoy. Usually we fell in the water because the boat and buoy were bobbing in choppy water, and then we had to swim or paddle back. It was a lot of work and being able to leave the boat at the dock would be great. I don’t know how people do it when the weather us chilly. At checkout you are asked to strip the beds, start a load of towels, load and run the dishwasher, and take out the garbage. Apart from boat dock/neighbor problems, it is an amazing property and we had a magical week and appreciated staying there. And we thank the wonderful rental company.

Highly recommend it!
I wanted a special place to celebrate my 60th bday. I loved the location and easy access to the lake. The private setting and the comfort of the house with enough room to cook (an amazing kitchen with everything you need) and hang out is what I was looking for. I got even more...the views of the sunrise and the full moon at night from the private setting of the master bedroom!

Rubicon Bay review
This home is beautiful and ideal location. We had a great stay. The home is in need to some updates and repairs. There was leaking faucets, ice maker didn't work (and it was in the 90's when we were there), broken windows closures etc. The kitchen was fully stocked. Overall the home is amazing, but in need of some updates and repairs.
