Great stay in Avoriaz

Genuinely the best accommodation we’ve had while skiing. Perfect space for two families with 5 children. Made use of the sauna every day and the raclette grill was an added bonus!

Apartment was clean, spacious and a lovely space to be in. Can literally ski in and out and its a 5 min walk to bakery and shop. 10mins into the very centre of Avoriaz.

Wonderful stay

This was a beautiful apartment, with lots of space and amenities. We arrived a little late on the first day as our flight was delayed and our hosts were so helpful, even arranging the local restaurant to do a takeaway for us and getting some milk for my daughter as the shops were closed. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent self-catering ski in/out apartment with easy piste access

Excellent accomodation with easy access to the piste. Own ski & boot storage was a plus. 2 of 3 bedrooms spacious. Only negative was checkin time. 5pm checkin adds complications if you need to hire skis & collect lift passes etc.

Lovely spacious apartment in Avoriaz

The apartment is very well appointed, easy to get to and from. It is well equipped with the added bonus of the sauna. Ski in and ski out with it’s own ski store and boot dryer, perfect for a group or family. The property is in the Amara area next to Le Grand Cafe restaurant and a short walk into the centre of town where there are plenty more restaurants and bars. Avoriaz is a fantastic ski resort on the Port du Soleil ski area which has altitude and some great slopes.

Superb Accommodation!

This is a superb well positioned property close to all the essential amenities in Avoriaz. The accommodation is well maintained and very comfortable indeed! The three bedrooms are spacious and the living room area was perfect for gathering our two families. The sauna in the basement was a welcomed luxury after a day on the slopes! The location is perfect for skiing out the property onto the slopes and the surrounding restaurants were delightful! The late check-in (5pm) was not ideal but the wait in the pleasant restaurant opposite made up for this! We would definitely stay here again!

Family ski trip Avoriaz!

We had problems checking in as we couldn’t find it and didn’t have a telephone number. But once those teething problems were solved we had a wonderful stay. It’s a fantastic apartment with comfortable beds and wonderful facilities. Always lots of hot water for baths and showers which is a must after a hard day of skiing! No cleaning provided for our stay but we kept that all under control and would say that it effected our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

TrÚs bel appartement en accord avec l'offre proposée

En famille 4 adultes et 2 enfants . Tout était parfait ! Appartement de standing, luxueux et trÚs confortable. Nous n'avons pas essayé la sauna mais les 3 salles de bains au rez-de-chaussée sont parfaitement équipées ainsi que la cuisine. Encore un tout grand merci à Sylvie qui a résolu le moindre petit problÚme au plus vite . PremiÚre fois qu'un logement correspond aussi parfaitement à l'offre sur le site. Nous recommandons !

Great location

This is a really good property and good value for the size, if you happen to have young children the master bedroom has two bunk beds built into the wall which is such a good idea and something you don't see very often. The two bedrooms downstairs are good sizes and the upstairs room is a bit small but has a double bed so fine for somewhere to crash when skiing. Location is also perfect, not all properties are easy to ski back to in Avoriaz but its very easy with this one. Only thing I would say be aware of is if you are really self catering there is wasn't a great selection of cooking saucepans. Overall a really good property and close to the slopes.

We had a brilliant week. Very spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The sauna was a real plus as well. The power conked out one day and someone was round to fix it within 10 mins of us reporting the problem. Also someone came in to clean twice during the week, which was very welcome. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Great property

We've been going to the Amara for a number of years now. This flat perfect on many levels. It was large enough for 5 of us, the sauna is a great plus and the ability to keep our skis and boots inside made leaving in the morning and coming back in the evening that much easier. Stopping by for lunch is something we had not done before but the practicality of the property made it feasible and enjoyable. We will come back if we can!

Nous venons de passer une formidable semaine, Ă  l’amara 66. IdĂ©alement situĂ©, au calme, propre, luxueux... luges Ă  disposition, chaises bĂ©bĂ©... malgrĂ© les conditions de ski actuelle, Ă©tant au pieds des pistes les balades en raquette, ski de fonds... Ă©taient parfaites vu l’emplacement de l’appartement. Le sauna est un plus qui a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs appreciĂ©. L’accueil est irrĂ©prochable, malgrĂ© un petit soucis de chauffage au dĂ©but du sĂ©jour, trĂšs vite rĂ©glĂ©.

Pas conforme avec ce qui est proposé

A notre arrivĂ©e tout s'est bien passĂ©. Fatima qui gĂšre le bien nous a permis d'accĂšder vers 11h00 au logement en nous disant que tout Ă©tait prĂȘt. AprĂšs coup, beaucoup d'imperfections dans le mĂ©nage, Des moutons sur la moquette (Ă  cause d'un aspirateur dont la tĂȘte n'est prĂ©vue que pour sol dur), sous le canapĂ© de la nourriture , et une grosse Ă©paisseur de poussiĂšre sur le lustre du salon et les plintes du logement. Selon Fatima, le mĂ©nage en profondeur est fait Ă  l'entre-saison et notre arrivĂ©e trop tĂŽt ne permettait pas de faire un mĂ©nage correcte. Nous souhaitions juste dĂ©poser nos valises et pas forcĂ©ment "ĂȘtre chez nous" avant 17h00 comme le stipule les conditions de location. Second point, sur 4 salles de bain, deux Ă©taient tout simplement hors fonctionnement, les mitigeurs thermostatiques ne fonctionnant plus. Nous avons passĂ© le sĂ©jour avec seulement deux points d'eau et une personne en permanence qui devait attendre la venue du plombier au moins jusqu'au mercredi. Les tĂ©lĂ©visions ne fonctionnaient pas correctement Ă  cause d'une mauvaise rĂ©ception d'antenne. selon Fatima,s'est du Ă  une tempĂȘte qui aurait fait bouger cette deniĂšre. Soit mais ce problĂšme est dĂ©jĂ  mentionnĂ© dans des commentaires prĂ©cĂ©dents. La location n'est pas estampillĂ©e 4 Ă©toiles sur Abritel mais au regard des photos et du descriptif on pourrait le croire. Ne vous faites pas avoir, ce n'est pas un 4 Ă©toiles car bon nombre de prestations obligatoires pour ce label ne sont pas prĂ©sentes. Ne pas mettre d'alĂšse dans les lits est tout simplement inconcevable par exemple. A notre arrivĂ©e, les serviettes , soit disant sorties du prestataire de lavage, Ă©taient pour la plus part tachĂ©es et avec des amas de cheveux en boules. (photos disponibles aux curieux) Dernier point le local Ă  ski extĂ©rieur ne ferme pas Ă  clĂ©, la piste passe Ă  cĂŽtĂ© donc pas sans risque. Bref, une location qui reste trĂšs bien mais manque de suivi dans son entretien. Elles est trĂšs bien placĂ©e et au calme dans la station. Nous, avons essayĂ© de contacter le propriĂ©taire afin de demander un geste commercial pour tous les dĂ©agrĂ©mĂ©nts mais aucune rĂ©ponse.On loue un bien soit disant de standing mais finalement le compte n'y ait pas, impossible de joindre le propriĂ©taire, ni par tĂ©lĂ©phone ni par mail puisque c'est Fatima qui doit faire barriĂšre. En espĂ©rant que nos griefs feront bouger les choses pour les futurs clients car un locataire reste un client, n'en dĂ©plaise Ă  Fatima qui nous a suggĂ©rĂ© d'aller au RITZ...
