The town of Redstone is on the Crystal River and is known as; “The Ruby of The Rockies”. This historic town is the home of The Redstone Inn which resides on the National registry of Historic Places. There is also unique shopping, guided fishing and hunting opportunities, a general store with basic food, and a small liquor store. Visit the newly remodeled Redstone Castle. The house is located only 20 minutes up the valley from Carbondale, where you can find fine eateries, market and stores.
Some of the local activities in the area include visiting the natural hot springs on the Crystal river called Penny Hot Springs. There are also parks to visit and numerous hiking and biking trails.
Aspen and Snowmass is a beautiful 50min. drive up the Roaring Fork Valley.
In Redstone visit the art gallery or the antique store.
