Great views of Clark Sound and Morris Island Lighthouse, spectacular sunrises!
Welcome to Behren's Island! Not really ON an island, but a view that has inspired & been painted by several local artists. From the windows and your private patio you are able to see the historic Morris Island Lighthouse and panoramic marsh views. If you are over 24 years of age, we invite you to stay. Children under 14 are not allowed.
Our home has been divided into a duplex. Your private, renovated two bedroom/ two bath flat occupies the top floor of our elevated home. You are afforded breathtaking views from the property.
The colorful lounge area with smart TV was inspired by our trips to Spain, France and Central America. A full service kitchenette includes everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable. The dining table seats four and offers spectacular views!
The "Charleston Room" is elegantly furnished with antiques and has a TV and sound machine. The impressive ensuite spa bathroom was just renovated and has a jetted tub for two, as well as a large stand alone shower and dual sinks.
The serene "Folly Room" has photos and prints of local sights. It is furnished with a loveseat, queen bed, dresser, and sound machine. The hall bath serves this bedroom.
Designated, off street parking for two cars (only). Private, ground level patio seats four. It is dedicated for your stay and has expansive marsh views! Private, front entrance with contact free check -in. Guest pets are not allowed, no exceptions. Professionally cleaned between check-ins with Lysol and Clorox products. We do not have an on site washer dryer for quests.
We are 2.5 miles from Folly Beach, just off Folly Rd. There is a dedicated bike lane. Harris Teeter grocery, a gas station and beach store are across from the neighborhood entrance. Guests say they appreciate the convenience to Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston, without being in the middle of the crowds. If you like to get your steps in, our quiet neighborhood is an approx one mile loop and includes two natural ponds. A variety of popular restaurants with outdoor seating are nearby, as well as delivery from several restaurants.
Historic Downtown Charleston is 7 miles/15 min away by car, or approx $25 via ride share. Some of the finest dining and shopping in the southeast can be found downtown, but make sure to leave time to take in some of the beautiful historic landmarks that made our city famous!

Excellent accommodations. Views were outstanding. Rooms were clean and had all the things you might need. Quiet location with gorgeous sunrises. Close to attractions.
The house was in a great location for getting into Charleston, out to Folly Beach, and to the plantations along Ashley River. Accommodations were just what we needed for a comfortable stay. I really liked the little decorative touches that brought the history of the area to life. Everything was immaculate. The morning views over the marsh were an added bonus to the ambiance of this James Island rental.

Absolutely perfect place to stay while visiting Charleston and Folley Beach Perfect location to everthing and the views from your bedroom window are absolutely stunning. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful- pointed us to great Antique Shops! The rooms are beautiful and everything was clean and welcoming. The kitchen had everything wr needed! Definitely will stay here again!
Loved the location. Centrally located between the beach and downtown Charleston with both being very easy drives. Property was very clean and well maintained. Comfortable beds. Check in was easy and hosts were great.
Hot tub was very clean and the whole Flat was very clean! The kitchenette was awesome, everything was there. Even Coffee, Powder Creamer, Sugar packets and tea bags. Condiments in fridge, paper towels and tiolet paper!!
This was the perfect location for splitting time between Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Great spot for a small group of people who want a central location.

This house was in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking the marshlands. The bedrooms are large and there are 2 baths. The host was great and let us use beach towels and chairs. It was a good location between Charleston and some nice beaches.
The location was perfect and the view was amazing. Very clean and cool antique decor. Will definitely stay here again!
