Mia's Black Dog Lodge, a wonderful Chalet on Big Lake Chetac

All you need for a lakeside vacation! Our large, welcoming chalet is perched on a wooded hillside overlooking Lake Chetac, north of Birchwood. Enjoy stunning lake views, beautiful forests, abundant wildlife and exceptional fishing! A sandy lake bottom at the shoreline makes for great swimming and there's a private dock - bring your boat or rent one nearby if you like. Our private dock can accommodate 2 boats easily. We provide 3 kayaks for guest use. A grassy lawn at the lake's edge provides a place for yard games, evening campfires, and relaxing. Please note: Property does not have a sand beach... it's a step down from the grass lawn into the lake, where bottom is sandy.

Fish house w/water (warm months), electricity, counter, double sink, a freezer and propane heat.

Direct ATV trail access from our home! Winter guests w/ATVs or snowmobiles can access the lake/ice & snowmobile trails from our property.

LOCATION:
We're close to Birchwood, where you'll find well-stocked mini-markets, gas stations, restaurants and stores. Lake Chetac has several 'boat in' restaurants as well. ATV/UTVs and Snowmobiles have direct trail access.

ABOUT THE HOME:
The open kitchen with island is fully equipped with stainless appliances (including a dishwasher) crock pot, coffee maker, blender, teapot, toaster, pots and pans, bakeware, etc. Please note that Wisconsin law prohibits hosts from providing any food or beverage items - even the most basic - so please plan to bring everything you'll need with you. Don't forget your spices. :-)

Two spacious living rooms offer amazing views of Lake Chetac. The main level living room has a gas fireplace and TV with live channel streaming. The 'glass wall' has sliders out to a deck that extends across the entire home. The lower level living room has a flat-screen TV and a 'glass wall' with sliders out to another deck. Here's where you'll access the steps leading down to the lawn and the lake.

There is a full bath on each level. The loft level has a queen bed and two twin beds. On the main level, one bedroom has a king bed and direct access to the deck; the second main level bedroom has two twin beds. The fourth bedroom, with direct access to the lower deck, also has a queen bed. All sleeping areas are spacious, with ceiling fans and generous-sized closets.

We are licensed and compliant with all Sawyer County and State of Wisconsin laws and ordinances relating to Tourist Rooming Homes.
