Our Brookside Cottage is so cute we couldn’t resist it! If you're looking for a cozy, really nice house at a great price, with mountain views, your own little backyard creek, and easy year round access, you've found it! We’re pet friendly and conveniently located to everything!

Brookside Cottage is an adorable creek side, completely updated, 2 bed / 2 bath cottage nestled in its own private corner of one of Maggie Valley’s original mountain neighborhoods! Beautiful floral gardens offer a romantic landscape in spring thru fall seasons. Sip your morning coffee, sitting in the sun room, listening to the creek and looking out at the pastoral, mountain views. Or have a glass of wine, sitting on the swings by the creek and enjoy a crackling fire in the fire pit, while watching the sun set over the mountains. Gated porches and partially fenced backyard make it extra nice for kids or pets*.

Our cottage is a perfect little getaway for up to 4 people. It features 2 bedrooms (queen beds), 2 full baths, living room with gas fireplace, WiFi cable internet, Roku TV, outdoor fire pit by the creek, gas grill and washer & dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes many of the basic condiments you need for cooking. Easy year round access with parking that accommodates up to 2 normal size cars*.

We are dog friendly provided guests pay the pet fee and agree to the Pet Policy detailed in our Rental Agreement which states… all dogs must be pre-approved, friendly, well behaved, NOT allowed on the furniture, NEVER left alone indoors (unless crate trained) and ALWAYS accompanied on leash while outdoors. We allow up to two dogs and there is a one-time pet fee for each dog.

* Trailers, RVs or vehicles larger than a normal size minivan are not allowed. Contact us for questions or more information.

Cozy and comfy!!
This cabin is lovely, with all the comforts of home. The location has some privacy along with a convenient yard for walking pups, and just up the small hill is the rest of the neighborhood with more walking space and nice neighbors. The gas fireplace made the chilly days/nights even more cozy. One thing to be aware of is that there is no live tv. If you want to watch live, you will need to stream from your phone/tablet and send to the tv. Communication with the owners was fast and positive. We will definitely be back to this one.

Absolutely amazing
The cottage is warm and welcoming, we love this place, this is our second time there, the only negative thing we could have to say were the beds were not comfortable but I went and bought an mattress pad that helped with my back pain and that took care of the problem. I can't wait to go back.

We’ve been together as artist partners for over 30 years. Now semi-retired, we enjoy using our background in commercial art to create our own fine art and photography. We also love Maggie Valley and enjoy decorating our cabins with our art, interesting objects and other meaningful memorabilia. Each of our cabins has its own unique theme and we love sharing them with guests looking for special getaways to the mountains. We like communicating with guests and hearing their feedback. It’s very satisfying to hear about how our cabins help create wonderful memories for others. Offering our cabins as vacation homes is a great creative outlet for us, provides great getaways for our own enjoyment, and helps cover costs so we can continue pursuing and sharing our creative interests.

Our cabins are within a few minutes of each other… Treehouse Cabin (Vrbo #618254) and Brookside Cottage (Vrbo #1599740).

Why they chose this property

We love Maggie Valley, and already have two cabins here. We bought Brookside Cottage because ‘mom’ was looking for something here too… and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. It’s a charming, adorable little mountain cottage! It is so darn cute, has beautiful gardens, its own little creek, nice mountain views is situated off in a private corner of one of Maggie’s original mountain neighborhoods, has easy year round access, and is located within minutes to everything! What’s not to like?! :)

We think the Smoky Mountains, and particularly Maggie Valley, offer some of the most beautiful scenery and most pleasant places to visit in the entire country. Haywood County features 19 of the highest peaks east of the Mississippi. The climate is great, not too hot, not too cold, the people are friendly and there are so many things to enjoy from scenic mountain drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway, to hiking the Smoky Mountains, to fishing, waterfalls and of course photography and painting. Since we are not here full time we decided to share it with others who want a peaceful getaway in the mountains.

What makes this property unique

Brookside Cottage offers many unique features at a very affordable price. The completely updated interior offers a charming atmosphere which makes for a very comfortable stay for up to 4 people. The 965sf floorplan, includes 2 beds / 2 baths, fireplace, sunroom, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and gated front and back porches. The house, sits off in its own private corner of the neighborhood shared by only 2 part time neighbors. The front porch looks out over beautiful floral gardens and a large grassy stretch of yard. From the sunroom you can watch sunsets over the mountains and listen to the creek. The tiny backyard offers outdoor privacy, views of the pasture and mountains with its own little creek, fire pit and porch swing.

And the location is super convenient with easy year round access! We're perfectly located, in the heart of one of Maggie Valley’s original mountain neighborhoods... close to restaurants, bars, tourist attractions, shopping, golf, Lake Junaluska, waterfalls, Blue Ridge Parkway and much more.
