Thank you for considering our authentic log cabin for your next getaway!
We are conveniently located 15 minutes from Bryson City and 5 minutes away from the adventures the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) provides, and 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains national park.
~THE SPACE~
This charming 1-2 bedroom cabin includes a King bed in the downstairs bedroom, a full-size log-frame futon in the loft (VERY comfortable!) and a queen size pull-out leather sofa in the living room to comfortably accommodate 4 guests. The master bedroom is the only room that offers complete privacy.
This easily accessible mountain retreat features central heat and AC, a large open space living/dining room with leather sofa, flat-screen smart TV, electric fireplace, WiFi, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, large bathroom with a combination clawfoot tub/shower, large master bedroom and a loft area with a game room including a retro style cocktail arcade with 60 classic games and a foosball table.
~THE PROPERTY~
Step outside to enjoy the firepit overlooking the mountain scenery, a babbling creek with small pond and waterfall, lots of land to explore, a gas grill for cookouts and a hot tub to unwind in after your adventurous day. We are located right off the highway, therefore, when you are outside you will hear traffic from the road.
*Please note that our new log cabin, Smoke'n View Cabin (312 Biltmore Cr VRBO propety ID #2769284), is also available for rent further up our 11 acre property, provides spectacular, jaw dropping, views of the Smoky Mountains, Fontana Lake, and the great Smoky Mountain RR to renters!
~THE AREA~
The area has something for everyone (hiking, mountain biking, shopping, zip lining, fishing, golfing, tubing, kayaking, white water rafting, scenic drives….RELAXING)!
We are conveniently located to almost everything in the area - the NOC, Tail of the Dragon (amazing drive, look it up if you are not familiar with it), Bryson City, Cherokee, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Fontana Dam, and more!
Bryson City has been featured by Smithsonian Magazine as one of “20 Best Small Towns to Visit” (2016); one of “20 Best Mountain Towns in America” by Mens Journal (2017); by Backpacker Magazine as one of 12 US “Top Hiker Towns” (2016); and voted by Trip Advisor readers as one of “8 Beautiful Little Lake Towns Across America” (2017).
A 15-minute drive will have you in Bryson City, where you can enjoy shopping, ice cream, homemade chocolates/candies, restaurants (Pasqualino’s has great Italian food), breweries, fishing, tubing, swimming, museums and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.
If you prefer something more adventurous bring your mountain bike (or rent one) and enjoy the Tsali Recreation Area, a quick 10-minute drive from the cabin or the Fire Mountain Bike Trail in Cherokee, an easy 30-minute drive away. Not to mention various options for zip lining!
There are plenty of world class white water rafting and kayaking opportunities on the Nantahala River, within 5 minutes of the cabin, or go across the street to the Nantahala Village for horseback riding!
Feeling lucky? Visit the newly renovated Harrah’s Cherokee Casino! While in Cherokee don’t forget to check out the native American museums, dancing and shops!
Let us know if you have any questions. We also provide information about the area in the welcome binder at the cabin.

About the host

We live in Wilmington NC and have been in the Real Estate rental/management business for 15+ plus years there. We've been visiting the area for years and decided to broaden our horizons and purchased this beautiful piece of mountain property to build some beautiful rental log cabins (new cabin in the works!) for vacationers to revel in many of the great experiences that the area has to offer which we have come to love and have become an integral part of our lives over the years.
Why they chose this property
We have been vacationing in the Bryson City area for over 5 years and love the area and all it has to offer so much we decided to purchase our own property to build several rental cabins for others to share these same great experiences. The property is stunning with it's babbling brook and pond on the lower section and amazing long range views at the upper portion of the cabins to come in the future
The property has super easy year round access (flat paved street to our property) and the property abuts 64 acres of designated National Forest.
*We are proud to announce that our second cabin, Smoke'n View Cabin, is in the works further up our property which will provide unrivaled, panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains, where you can see the lights of cars coming and going from Clingmans Dome at night, and Fontana Lake, where you can see the Great Smoky Mountain RR traversing the Lake! It will be steep drive but worth it if you want to be surrounded by breathtaking mountain views during your stay.*

What makes this property unique
A lot of pride, as well as blood, sweat, and tears, were put into designing and building this cabin ourselves to our very own high standards to be sure to please vacationing renters. The balcony off the upstairs loft overlooks the pond and brook and is great for star gazing, bird watching, and most importantly the abundance of fireflies during the early summer, hence the name of our cabin.
