Was a great place for a quick little getaway for my fiancé and I. Super convenient location for Bryson City or Cherokee. Wonderful food options for everyone. Lovely cabin by the river for us to relax and me to catch up on my reading! Will def stay again!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Smoky Mountain Cabin! Check in was a breeze, everything was spotless, and it was the most relaxing 3 days we've had in a long time. We began and ended every day on the deck, watching the river flow by - such a peaceful place and so good for the soul. It was extremely easy to get to and close to everything we wanted to do. Can't wait to go back!

Nice place
I really enjoyed my stay, very quiet and relaxing. Loved the views and the sound of the river. Cabin was nice and clean. I guess we got a bonus surprise, we felt the earthquake Saturday morning! Pretty awesome. I will definitely recommend staying here.

Great little Cabin
My wife and I spent our anniversary here. She is 6 months pregnant and this was the perfect cozy getaway.
My husband & I enjoyed a little xmas vacation in Bryson City. The cabin was very clean & we really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The only thing we would recommend is the owners putting a bath mat by the shower. When we showered before & after the hot tub, its impossible to keep water OFF the wood floor. Highly recommend staying here for a getaway!
This property was perfect! It has everything that you need for a small getaway. We stayed in cabin number six which included a hot tub. The hot tub was taken care of very well. The older maintenance man was also so helpful and very sweet upon entry.
We had such a great time! The cabin is absolutely perfect for a couple traveling to Bryson/Cherokee- you’re just a very short ride to both. The hot tub & porch have the perfect view of the river. It’s so relaxing & peaceful! The little neighborhood is really quiet & we absolutely loved the covered spots for motorcycles! We’ll definitely be coming back!
Our cabin and it's beautiful location right on the river exceeded our expectations!! It was cleaned to perfection and completely equipped with all of the necessities. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate some special requests.
We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub on the deck while watching the osprey hunt on the river and elk cross the water upstream. The location was so convenient to town and to gorgeous area wildflower hikes! Thanks to Jennifer, Candace, and David! We will definitely return to your beautiful cabin!
The stay was wonderful but you need to know a few things. The toaster needs to be replaced it is broken. We noticed that you have a big problem with carpenter bees. They have bored holes on the rails of the front porch and on the roof covering the back porch. The place is great
Enjoyed our stay. I played in a Senior golf tourney at Sequoyah Golf Club. We were in #6 right on the river. My buddy and his wife were next door. Needed the hot tub for my old muscles after each round. Owner David was very reachable and helpful. We had Direct TV that worked perfectly. No fighting the streaming stuff. Another plus was the King bed. Would love to return sometime

Wonderful cabin by the river!
My husband and I stayed in this perfect cabin by the river for a little mini vacation - it is so spacious and set up with everything we needed (although a pair of binoculars to watch the elk in the neighboring campground would have been wonderful!) It is easy to find, easy to get to, and close to so many fun activities. We packed a lot into the three days we were there and hope to go back again soon. We began and ended each day sitting on the deck by the river and enjoyed every minute. We were thankful for the hot tub after a long day of hiking (we recommend the Deep Creek Trail with its three beautiful waterfalls - there is a fairly easy 2.5 mile hike as well as the choice of taking a 5 mile hike, which is the one we chose) - that hot tub was the best way to end that day. :) The furniture is comfortable and we slept wonderfully each night. The cabin itself is very clean and the grounds are as well. We enjoyed watching the Canada Geese with their goslings wander around on the riverbank and got a kick out of the geese that just float down the river to their next destination. This is just all-around a great cabin in a beautiful spot and a super relaxing way to spend a few days. We highly recommend it!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! We are absolutely thrilled to hear you had such a wonderful and recharging stay at our cabin, especially enjoying the deck by the river and seeing the elk. That truly makes our day! We also genuinely appreciate your suggestion about providing binoculars – that's a brilliant idea for getting a closer look at the local wildlife, especially the beautiful elk! We'll definitely look into adding a pair for future guests.
It was a pleasure hosting you, and we can't wait to welcome you back to the cabin for another perfect getaway!"
This cabin was clean and functional with a great view of the river from the mostly uncovered back deck which includes a hot tub to relax as you view it. When I say functional, the cabin had only one window over the kitchen sink to view the river. Since you need to be on the mostly uncovered back deck to enjoy it, the cabin does not take advantage of its proximity to the river. Next to our cabin was a gathering space, covered picnic area with grills. This was for the other cabins which were not river front. Fortunately for us there weren't many people there to use it. If there had been, they may have been smoking or loud and that would have ruined the experience. On the other side of our cabin there used to be a campground, but it had been so damaged by the flooding in 2024 that only an empty campground with only remnants. There was a colony of feral cats on the property and these cats were being fed on the property. They would let you no where near them, unless you were bringing food, but they were easily spooked. There was a gaggle of Canadian geese who called the picnic area next to our cabin home. They are beautiful, but beware of goose poop everywhere. There was no access down to the river to either wade or fish unless you wanted to wade through vegetation and an uneven embankment to get to it. The cabin is conveniently located to Bryson City or Cherokee, but is away from the more crowded city areas.
