The location of this property is amazing, step away from the village, I wish the unit was cleaner and more updated. The management was very responsive and helpful
Comfortable stay in a great location. Easy walk to the gondola and right there by the restaurants. Nice having a dedicated parking spot too. The unit itself is a little dated, but for the price you can’t beat it. The pool and hot tub are not located on the immediate property, but are a short walk away (although we did not use these).

We are happy to heat that you enjoyed your stay and our homes amenities. We hope you get a chance to stay with us again.
It was a perfect no-frills weekend for the 3 of us (2 parents and a teen). Right in the village, close to the pool and restaurants. It was very warm at night until we opened up the windows and ran the fan. The Tahoe-Truckee vacation rental folks are very kind and helpful!

Thank you for your lovely review! We're glad you had a perfect weekend and enjoyed the convenient village location. It's great to hear our team was kind and helpful. We hope to welcome you back soon!
As advised with new furniture in living room.Needs black out curtains in living room. The lights from the village come into home when sleeping. Main bed was ok to good little hard but reasonable. We truly had a good stay and were very happy overall. Thanks much.
Overall good stay. Very convenient which is baked in the price. The unit has not been updated in a while which is ok, with exception of linens that should be replaced more often. They were pretty worn off. The main minus is the heater. It is very noisy and no matter what temperature you set it on it comes on every 10 min and makes it very difficult to sleep with it.
It is a great location so close to the lifts but the bed was so uncomfortable. I am shocked it has such good ratings because the bed was like sleeping on bricks. I would have given it a 5-star if only a comfortable bed. I had to sleep on the pull-out couch. This could easily be fixed and it should The location is fantastic. It's dated but has everything you need.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the fantastic location near the lifts. We're sorry to hear about the bed; comfort is key, and we'll definitely discuss this with the property owners to explore upgrading it. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope to welcome you back to a more comfortable stay next time!
This cozy vintage lodgette located in the middle of the Village at Northstar could not be any more conveniently located! It had direct walking access to every Northstar activity you wanted - restaurants, gondola, shops, ice rink, rentals, bus stop, gym, etc. While it was located in the heart of Northstar, the view from the living room and balcony was shaded by a large green pine tree which made it feel private.
The condo included a kitchen with all necessary pots/pans, utensils and dishes for enjoying a home cooked meal. There were plenty of towels, paper products and soaps and the queen bed and various pillows were perfect.
We will definately stay here again!
Cosy accommodations with awesome ski-in, ski-out location
Great location in Timber Creek Lodge in the Northstar village with assigned parking spot. Super convenient for ski-in, ski-out. We have stayed in a different hotel room unit in the same building, but I would say that the extra room with the loft/sitting area and kitchen amenities is a huge plus.
On the flip side:
(1) wifi connections was a bit weak - we had to boot all phones and kids off wifi to do simple emailing (or bail to our phones for video calls) which we didn't have to do with our other stay in a different unit
(2) Heater clanked loudly on start - not a problem if we dialed down the heat overnight so the heater never comes on overnight
(3) Bathroom sink was draining quite slowly - property manager responded that they will address the problem after our stay.
All in all, we are happy with our stay and would book this property again.

Amazing location and great value, but definitely showing its age
This was a great location for our ski getaway – about 500' from the gondola and 600’ from the NPOA hot tubs! (FYI, the rec center charges $10/person/day circa 2023.) And the unit had plenty of space for our off-property friends to join us for dinner in the evenings.
The unit is a good value for money, but that comes at the expense of some dated furnishings and appliances. Notably, the refrigerator was quite noisy when running and the heater made a very loud BANG BANG BANG BANG every time the fan started up - to the extent that it woke us up from sleep several times the first night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we would not return until the clanky heater and noisy refrigerator are fixed, ideally along with some other updates.
Otherwise, the unit had been serviced before we checked in, but not very thoroughly. There were debris on the carpet (retainer rubber bands?), only one set of trash bags/paper towels/dishwasher detergent in the kitchen (the check-in guide promised two), and insufficient linens throughout (no spare bath towels, kitchen towels, sheets, or pillowcases). We only used the queen bed but would’ve been in trouble if we’d been a party of 4 checking in at 8pm. Many dishes/pans were still visibly dirty/greasy, but they can’t be expected to wash everything so be prepared if you’re planning to cook.
The property management company was very cheerful and gracious when contacted, providing spare linens and kitchen supplies within a few hours of us reaching out, but overall they seemed a little overworked. The check-in/check-out materials didn't seem tailored to this property (for instance, the section on where to leave the trash was just blank, including on the binder left in the unit), and they sometimes gave incorrect information in our pre-trip correspondence (the unit does have a blender… but it was dirty enough we decided not to use it).
Well equipped kitchen, comfy/homey feel, quiet. One tip (not a gripe): the refrigerator is very noisy so just turn it off for a good night's sleep -- then on again in the morning.
I enjoyed my stay. The room was a great for for me and my friend. It was just what we needed for our trip. A quick minute walk and your at the gondola. Cable TV was nice after a long day of riding. I appreciated the variety of pillows that were available. I also appreciated the kitchen being well stocked with pots and pans to cook meals on your own if you choose. I would return.
Rustic property. Amazing location for skiing. The bed is very hard, but the pullout couch is not, so we ended up sleeping there. Overall a great place to stay if you want to hit the slopes early. I would definitely stay here again.

very good
Check in instructions should be more clear. We ended up going to the property management office.
I'll start with the obvious - the location was just wonderful. We were a few steps from the lifts and the balcony had a wonderful view through to the ice skating rink!
It is on the 3rd story - but it does have an elevator which we never used because the stairs weren't too bad (might have used it if we hadn't packed light and brought two teens though).
We found it charming and truly felt like we were in a mountain cabin (I never quite get that feeling with stainless steel and granite)! This condo has what I imagine are a lot of original features and was quite charming. Upstairs bed and pull out couch were both more comfy than some 5 star hotels!
We really appreciated having a wide range of pillow to choose from - I know this sounds silly - but everyone is different and this was a nice bonus for someone who usually brings their own (but forgot!!).
The kitchen was well appointed - it had everything we needed to cook most our meals int he condo. WIFI worked well and we were able to plug in our AppleTV from home. We played lots of games around the 4 person table!
Honestly - we wished we could buy the condo! And if we did - we wouldn't change a thing! It's just charming and cozy and was a fantastic place to spend time together and enjoy the snow. A big thank you to the owner for making this available!
The only downside is not to do with the condo. The property management company didn't respond to two emails and a phone call. So plan on asking your questions ahead of time and follow up if necessary.

Great locationfor hanging in the village, Not easy to get into..
Location and accomodations were fine.
Check in info was not clear. Got the check in email just a few minutes before check in and it said we needed to go back to Truckee to get keys. Then after driving there, were told we just needed the pinpad key. If that info was on the check in email we would receive the day before, that would have saved us from the extra trip.
Also, we have 3 kids including a baby. We had all our gear and luggage. There is no elevator and this unit is on the 3rd floor. That was not indicated at all on the reservation that you have to haul your gear up the staircase or go to the opposite end of the building and bring up your stuff.

We are sorry to hear this was your experience. We tried many times to contact you prior to your arrival because you never reviewed the rental agreement. The rental agreement states that IF there are keys, they need to be picked up and dropped off in Truckee, but to review your specific check-in instructions for access. The check-in instructions are emailed to you automatically, one week prior to arrival, IF the rental agreement has been reviewed. There is an elevator from the parking garage to the 3rd floor, it just doesn't take you straight to the unit. The stairs do you get very close to the unit door however. Guests have the option to use both. We appreciate the feedback and will try to make this clearer in the description!

convenient location
Very convenient location in Northstar village. The condo itself is "rustic". No bath upstairs where the bedroom is. Difficult to find the address (not on the building anywhere). There is a name of the building (I already forgot it), but that would make it much easier to find. Parking was tricky - we did not find out until later from security that we could park in any rental space and not just our unit number (which was already taken) . The combo for the door was convenient, however they neglected to tell us to push the star after the numbers and you need to push a number for it to go on before you start typing in the code.
