Lovely cottage, heated pool, large grounds

An independent 3-star holiday cottage for families and groups of friends of up to 6 people with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rental house has an open-space living/dining room and kitchen, a barbecue area for outdoor meals and a large shady terrace with deck chairs. While staying in the cottage, you will be able to use the guesthouse’s heated swimming-pool.


La Villa Fontane Cottage, in the woods between La Garde Freinet and historic Grimaud, is the ideal place to relax before and after your excursions in Provence - a large heated swimming pool set in shady grounds, a private garden and terrace for outside meals. The cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (with showers), a fully equipped kitchen, open dining/living area and two terraces with a bbq and plancha. Your beds are made for your arrival and we also provide the following services:
- Professional cleaning before your arrival (once a week for longer stays)
- Daily maintenance of the swimming pool and surrounds
- Morning delivery of croissants and bread (during high season)
- Strongbox safe
- Personalised tourist information

A relaxing stay in a spacious home in the middle of nature

Our hosts were lovely, welcoming, helpful and cool. The quiet surrounding and the large park were perfect for us to relax and to walk with our dogs. Swimming was in the big pool a real pleasure! We enjoyed a fantastic week as a family in Villa Fontane! Thank you Jane and Alban!

We loved our stay. We enjoy hiking and the host on day one shared maps and trails which we truly loved. We were also able to enjoy a beautiful afternoon by the pool. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. Beds are comfortable. Restrooms are very nice. The hosts were awesome with lots of special perks (thanks for the wine and fresh croissants😊).

Séjour décevant !

Les extérieurs sont beaux et calmes, et le logement est bien équipé pour cuisiner. La situation est idéale pour accéder aux villes alentour comme Grimaud et Plan-de-la-Tour, bien qu'il faille prendre la voiture pour se rendre au centre-ville. Cependant, nous avons été déçus par la réaction des propriétaires. L'annonce indique qu'un animal est admis, mais ne mentionne pas de supplément. À ma grande surprise, lors du règlement sur place, le montant de la location et les taxes étaient inscrits, mais les 30€ sur un post-it… Sachant que le logement n'était pas occupé la veille, un membre de notre famille a demandé à accéder à la table extérieure plus tôt pour un appel professionnel d'une heure. Les propriétaires ont accepté, mais en échange de 50 €. Pas très commercial. Concernant le logement, il y a des choses à améliorer : le wifi ne fonctionne pas dans la chambre du fond, une chambre ne ferme pas, il manque une penderie dans une chambre, des tabourets sont utilisés comme tables de nuit, des tiroirs sont défectueux et une lunette de toilettes n'est pas fixée. L'annonce n'était pas claire sur la disposition de la maison. La terrasse et la cuisine sont au niveau 1, tandis que les chambres et le jardin sont au niveau 0. Nous ne nous attendions pas à cela. En conclusion, malgré un cadre agréable et une localisation pratique, notre séjour a été entaché par des désagréments et un manque de transparence de la part des propriétaires, nous laissant un sentiment de déception.

Wunderschöne Lage in traumhafter Natur

Das Haus liegt auf dem Anwesen der Vermieter. Da diese sehr diskret, unheimlich nett und zuvorkommend sind stört das überhaupt nicht. Der Pool liegt vor deren Haus und es gibt Poolzeiten. Diese sind von 9-13 und 15-20 Uhr. Das Haus selbst ist gut ausgestattet, es gibt allerdings nur 2 Herdplatten und keinen Backofen. Mit 6 Personen wird es mit dem Kochen dadurch evtl. etwas eng. Allerdings ist ein Gasgrill vorhanden. Die Betten sind 140 cm, kann für den ein oder anderen eng werden. Uns hat es nicht gestört, wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Mann thanks to Jane and Alban, we had a wounderful stay!
