A beautiful Shipyard villa! Just as pictured or better. Finding a villa with three bedrooms and three baths is rare and fit our needs perfectly. Spotlessly clean and well stocked. Beach is near by car or walking. Location is fantastic! Views from the villa are wonderful, with side deck providing privacy and comfortable furniture and the front deck overlooking the golf course. Easy access to numerous shopping opportunities and restaurants. I have been coming to Hilton Head for many years and this is undoubtedly the nicest villa we have ever rented. We are looking forward to returning with family for Thanksgiving. Thanks, Carrie, for sharing your wonderful villa!

The house was ok. There are wicker baskets in the unit/kitchen that emit a strange odor. There are also so many spiders in the unit it was a problem. The home seemed like it was cleaned but still had a layer of dust/dog hair/people hair. The couches in the living room were small and stained. Additionally, no where to put your feet up. If you have small children do not stay here! You cannot use the back patio at all. There is a huge drop off and then there are pine needles covering all the furniture so you can’t actually relax out there. The distance to the beach was nice. The pool area is also terrible. Boring for the kids but not really the owners fault. It was nice they offered floats and noodles in the house. If you’re looking for a relaxing place that you can sit outside or enjoy a living room and specious kitchen - look elsewhere.

I was surprised by your comments, as I messaged you the day after check-in to ensure everything was perfect, and you let me know that you loved the villa. Had I known that you were unhappy with any areas, I would have immediately sent my cleaning team back to address them. Because our villa is nestled in a beautiful natural setting, I also supply a hand broom on the deck specifically to help guests easily brush away daily pine needles, as well as furniture covers that can be put on at night or when the furniture is not in use. Perfect vacation! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The unit was very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The location was great - close to the pool and a short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Loved our stay! Perfect location for beach and pool. Host was incredible, communicative, and kind. The property had beautiful natural lighting and comfortable bedrooms and living areas. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely return if staying in Hilton Head again!!

Our group of 6 adults were extremely pleased with this property! It was very clean & well kept, all rooms & areas were exceptionally clean & the set up was great! We especially loved the proximity to the beach & the outdoor patio with the couches & cushions & availability of the gas grill! I had excellent communications with our host,Carrie--she was available & quick to respond & lovely to deal with! We did not use thepool so can't comment on that.

Issue with cleanliness was mainly with floors and major surfaces - it was Spring pollen time and there had been no rain to wash it away - cleaners or previous rental may have left windows or doors open and pollen blew in - just noticed it when wiping down kitchen counters and wearing white socks - nbd - otherwise bathrooms and other rooms were spotless.

Mention to the owner about the grill and she quickly replaced it with a brand new one which was awesome… Location was fantastic for both the beach and any type of eating you desire… Area was full of wonderful friendly people… Had a wonderful time and plan on coming back to Hilton head in the future

Another year, another spectacular visit. Carrie is a wonderful host. The villa has the benefit of a great location with its easy walk to the beach, as well as the overall location of Shipyard on the South Island. It is so close restaurants, grocery stores, and some decent breweries. An absolutely fantastic vacation every time we visit. See you next year!!!

Lovely property with great amenities. Love that the condo has lots of light, as it is a corner unit. The beach is about a 10’ walk, is very clean with hard packed sand so easy for biking and walking. Groceries, shops, and restaurants are very close by making trips in the car quick and easy. All in all a perfect vacation spot!

Our stay here was a series of unfortunate events. Arriving at front gate, there was no record of our name. Took 45 minutes to reach owner, who finally confirmed with security. She rebated us 100 for inconvenience. At property, we alerted owner immediately to minor damages: broken toilet paper roll hanger, laminate peeling away from dining table, closet doors that were off track. Next day we found a heavy sliding glass door off track we couldn’t close. Owner arranged repairman for following evening. Before he could arrive, we woke at 3am to smoke detectors beeping throughout house. After my husband disconnected each,we awoke to find AC had stopped working entirely. We explained all concerns to repairman who was to return following day to complete AC repair. After another sleepless night without AC, owner offered full refund if we wanted to vacate property. But where to go now that it’s midweek? Amid these issues, we got a parking ticket from security because the pass provided at gate was incomplete. Took 5 trips between gate & main office to remedy. Fortunately, AC was fixed and we stayed. Given the events after we finally entered the gate, the cost of our rental exceeded the enjoyment. Perhaps a further credit would have been warranted under the circumstances.
